There was too much activity (noisy people) around the motel (which understand the staff can't control) and it made it difficult to sleep.

It appeared to have been redone recently. My only complaint was the lighting. There was no closet just hooks to hang clothing on but no light in that area.

Met the "Shelter" requirement.
We got a Non-smoking room which reeked of smoke, with the bathtub edge burns and burned blanket holes to match. The desk gave us a can of Fabreeze to male ups for it. (I'm alergic to both.) One of the 2 beds sounded like it had been broken by excessive "professional" use. There was a huge glob of toilet paper stuck up near the top corner of the door of theTINY bathroom. Was it covering a peep hole? A camera? A mouse nest? We were afraid to touch it. The man next to us propositioned my friend, complete with grabbing and rubbing himself within 30 min of arrival. So we couldn't open the door to air it out.
Parking is an issue and CLEARLY a sore spot with the Country Inn next door. Signs everywhere warning Country Inn would tow our car. And a fence making it super difficult to get your car to unload and then move the car. (Not a good look Country Inn, where I've stayed more than the Days.) We got waffels in the morning. They were almost decent if you stop cooking 20 sec early. The "egg omelets" were GROSS. Powdered egg omelets with a very small single piece of cheese produced placed in the middle covering 3 bites. The vending machines were pretty much emply all weekend and people were complaining drinks were warm. Maybe I should have tried the food truck parked next to the hotel all weekend, but didn't, so can't comment. Motel basically met the housing requirements for the weekend, but that is it.

Pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable our room was. Only stayed one night as we were in town for a funeral, so did not do any shopping or sightseeing. We were able to park outside the room on the ground floor, so it was much easier for us as we are senior adults. The price was the best in town.

We booked a king bed room, then got a call from the hotel the day of and they said the room we booked was a smoking room, is that ok? I told them no I want a non-smoking room. They said the only non-smoking room they have is a double bed room. Which I accepted, but didn't realize they were going to be 2 tiny beds. This is very low end hotel, the A/c units are extremely loud and turn on and off all night. It's about a $70 per night hotel, very disappointing to have paid over double that.

While the staff were very nice and accommodating, the space/room itself was uncomfortable, in large part due to insufficient curtains that did not keep light from extra-bright outside lighting out. We need darkness to sleep--we tried manipulating the curtain, but it was not a curtain that could keep out the light. We also found the bed less than comfortable and the bathroom terribly tiny! The free breakfast was, as is typical for most hotels, not very satisfying. The couple who own the place seem extremely nice and conscientious--however, there are areas where good intentions cannot make up for inadequate accommodations.

I was a little nervous when I pulled up on the hotel. It’s been a long time since I’ve stayed at a hotel where every room had its own entrance from the outside. But I was pleasantly impressed by the comfort and cleanliness. The staff were helpful and cheerful. I would stay there again when I return to Charlottesville.

Older hotel which has been redone ( floors and shower). However, AC and heat are provided by outside wall unit. There are no vents in the bathroom. The unit did a poor job of removing humidity.
Room rate was expensive given the issues discussed.

Housekeeping staff worked very hard to tend to guest needs. Saw them working on a power box and they did that Effectively, didn’t have many interactions with management but they seems friendly and attentive.

Football Friday at Days Inn
This Days Inn had an updated room for an old facility.
It had no elevator, which is a problem if you have a fractured knee, trying to get luggage to your room. The room was rather small. It was clean and not bad for an overnight stay. I did not have a chance to try the breakfast. Overall not a bad room, but overpriced, especially when taxes and fees are added.

The staff was very friendly! However, the room was very dirty. The bathroom had dirt in the corners as well as the back of the toilet. The lamp shades and duvet covers also had stains all over them.

Great place for the price especially
My room key didn’t work so dragging my suitcase up and down without a elevator wasn’t a fun start but the room is big spacious and clean. Much better than I thought for the price. The bathtub was deep and big and everything worked! The bed was perfect with lots of pillows. My only complaint was there was cereal, yogurt, toast and waffles only for breakfast. I could not do the yogurt because it was sugar free. I would have appreciated more choice and definitely some protein!

Good Room for the Price
The room was updated. The bed was a little too soft for my husband's back. The wifi was spotty at times. The bathroom was cramped. But, overall the room was comfortable for the price. The continental breakfast was lacking a little. But, for the price it met our needs. The staff was nice and helpful. The location was good. Not a bad stay for the price.

At first look as you drive up the hotel looks fine. But, as I walk to my room, you see men hanging around. Some cooking outside with as if at a park cookout. Some with folding chairs talking on phone, smoking or just people watching as they stand against the exterior hall. The room was adequate.

Bad Choice
The hotel was crowd with less than desirable patrons. The noise level was intolerable going well into the 3AM. We complained to the desk but it did not stop forcing us to keep the fan running to block the noise. We will never return.

There is a lot of noise. The sound proofing is not good. Guests speak loudly outside of the room as they walk by or linger around. All that said, the room is generally clean and well equipped (microwave, fridge, tv). Staff are friendly. And it’s a great location for a quick drive into the UVA area.

It was affordable. Fribt desk staff was friendly and helpful.
The room was filthy. Both the chairs were stained abd gross. Bed spread had stains. Spots on the tub. I made the mistake of walking to the bathroom without my slippers and my feet were filthy.
The neighbers were out on the balcony partying late into the night.

Quick two night in CVille

Everything was good and I was very happy with the stay with one small exception--a dead cockroach lying by my bed when I got up in the morning. Other than that, the hotel was clean and the staff were professional and effective.

The old school balcony paradigm was refreshing - nicer than musty central hallways. Staff friendly. Room free of odor and very comfortable slumber. I do appreciate more than one bath towel per person: we had two. Also the desk chair was too dirty to sit in.

We stayed one night for graduation weekend and the price amounted to extortion — nearly $400 We weren’t happy about that but at least understood what the hotel was up to — that is until we saw the room. One bed was broken, sounding like a metal scrap compacter with any movement; ancient lumpy pillows; cigarette burns scattered around the bath tub; shoddy tile-work; metal door frame riddled with holes; you get the point.

My stay was okay. Staff were nice and the room was spacious. However it was noisy outside until late into the morning, and some of my towels were not completely clean. The desk also had crumbs on it when I checked into the room. Could be better but it was ok.

We stayed during a crowded college visit weekend. The hotel was fine, but my bottoms of my bare feet were black after walking around the room. The floor is tile and clearly hadn't been mopped in quiet a while.

I usually have a hard time sleeping on hotel mattress but this one was awesome and the pillows were perfect.
