Very pleased
The hotel was terrific. Tucked away in the woods far enough from 95 not to hear any noise. Large clean modern room. Very nice lobby. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Indoor pool and workout room we didn’t get a chance to use. I can see why my Marriott stock has quadrupled. Marriott made a good call introducing this brand. Priced a little high but worth the experience. If you’re driving down to the southeast US, stay here and treat yourself.

Staff was amazing- super friendly and helpful. It was very disappointing that during my 4 day stay was room was never cleaned. At least they could have emptied my trash since they only give you a tiny trash can which fills up after 1 in-room meal. Gif the price charged I don’t think think it’s too much to expect

It's a very good place to stay, but what I didn't like, they don't truly honor the (no pet) policy, letting a hotel go to the dogs will definitely ruin a nice hotel and the property, people should leave pets at home! I wouldn't bring my pet horse or pet pig or goats to a hotel they stay at home! But other than that it was a good stay

This is a boutique hotel which means very small rooms. There are towels hanging in the bathroom but no hooks for clothing or a comfortable chair to sit. There is one desk chair but otherwise you must sit on the bed.

Easy access off 95 and shopping, dining near by. Lots of parking. Check in was fast. Hotel is clean and up to date. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. Good bathroom and tub/shower. Absolutely no complaints. Would stay again.

The staff was extremely friendly. The front desk service happy and kind. The pool was more like an oversized spa, and an odd color green. If you are choosing this hotel for an indoor pool experience, look elsewhere.

The Fairfield had a good breakfast but it started at 7:00 a.m. We would have preferred a 6:00 a.m. start time because we were traveling quite a distance that day.

Stayed one night on our drive to Orlando; the hotel room is nice, just like all other Marriott hotels, but there’s almost nothing in the breakfast when we went down to breakfast around 8:30 in the morning and couldn’t find any staff around to ask for replenishment. No hot water for tea either so we just walked out and went to Dunkin Donuts.

Very comfortable stay. Friendly staff. Lobby was very inviting and smelled really nice!
The breakfast sucked!! Grits, oatmeal and wrapped burritos were horrible. If the breakfast was better it would be a 5 rating. BUT the breakfast was "free" so you get what you (dont) pay for.

Excellent front desk staff - Lauren was helpful, polite, and professional.
We had some bedframe hardware protruding from the bed that was a bit dangerous (trip and fall, bump your shin and bruise). Notified Lauren at the front desk - she notified management immediately.

Good stop over hotel
We use Florence SC as the halfway stop going home so it is just an overnight. The hotel is very good, clean and a friendly staff. The breakfast was also very good. The only downside was I had book a king size bed and was told they didn’t have one for us. This was the first time this has happened to me while using a Hotels.com reservation.

Ashley at the front desk was very nice at check-in. The room was clean but we only had two towels for 4 people and no washcloths. The breakfast was very unimpressive. The food area was filthy. The girl in charge of the area walked by and didn’t do one thing to clean the area. There were crumbs all over the counter and the coffee was empty. She didn’t make any attempt to tidy up the area. She just walked through with her phone and never wiped the counters.

There was no towels or bath mat when we arrived. Picked them up at desk with still no bath mat. Called again in morning to have more towels and bath mat delivered. Towels were like dish towels . When we went down to breakfast at 6:30 there was none. No breakfast. It arrived at 7. Told they ran out of milk eggs and juice. And this is a MARRIOTT . What a diminution of the brand!!

Needs staff that works
On arrival clerk said wifi was broken but hoped it might be fixed soon. Never was. TV was spotty reception then got better.
Asked for 2 extra towels and pillows and clerk said she would bring them - they never came.
Elevator inspection certificate out of date and elevator was noticeably making weird noises. Manager said they are working on it.
The front desk staff seemed less than energetic. Talked a good game but actual work was not done.

The room was comfortable and very clean. The water in the pool was very cold. Good breakfast. Fast check in. The only problem in our stay was that I booked a room with 2 beds and they give us a room with a king size bed and a sofa bed. Other than that it was good.

Elevators and hallways needed to be vacuumed!! As we entered the room it looked ok nothing spectacular.. pillows we’re absolutely terrible ( to soft) hair was everywhere in the bathroom especially the shower.. didn’t make a big issue ( I just re-cleaned it myself.. I know it’s hard to cede every hair but nobody wants to see someone else’s hair everywhere

Checking although it was quick the front desk clerk at night was not welcoming or pleasant, it felt like we where bothering her. Mind you we checked in at 8:30pm not very late. In the morning breakfast was from 7am to 9am and it said continental breakfast the only thing they had was a turkey sausage, bread and juice. There was no eggs (apparently the delivery had bit coming in) and no coffee. But the attitude from the staff was very dismissive and again with attitude. I will definitely not be using this property when I’m back in this area. Disappointed that we didn’t get our usual type of service at a Marriott.

There were only two towels in the room. When I asked for more (there were 3 of us), I was told they “might” be able to find some. We had to share wash cloths!
Breakfast was sad, at best. Not a single muffin or pastry, but they did have bread with a communal jar of peanut butter! 😠

I like how clean it look, even the room carpet was so clean ,one could walk bare footer. I didn't like that the room 3rrd person towels and sofa bed beds blankets wasn't supplied, soap & shampoo, when you check in. But once you ask they will supply it.

“Fair” is proper for this Fairfield.
The lady watching over the breakfast was shockingly rude both mornings. No coffee brew station due to it needing repair, so went back to room to make a cup only to find the last person’s coffee ground packet still in the machine from the previous guest.....not good.

Perfect for Overnight Stop during Long Drive
Great option for an overnight rest for to break up a NJ-FL trip. Approximately half way point. 3 min from I-95. Many dining options in Florence, SC. Comfortable mattress and pillows. Friendly Staff.

Great hotel clean rooms nice size bathroom. Only negative i have is the breakfast is being served per covid, no issue with that the staff member wasnt the friendliness, almost all the breakfast was gone by 930 and there wasnt enough coffee. I got 2 coffees got up to the room and one cup wasnt even half full they were both watered down, there was no creamer and they were very stingy with the sugar. Ended up dumping them both and going to a coffee shop

Great Stay
We were in town for a funeral. We enjoyed the room very much. I got a really good night of resting and sleeping. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.
The customer service was great at check in and check out. The lady that served breakfast that morning was sweet as well.
Overall great stay... HIGHLY RECOMMEND

They did not clean our rooms
We had 5 rooms booked for a 2 night stay for work. The second night we came in (after working 12 hours) and rooms had not been cleaned and no fresh towels. I went down to the front desk to ask about the towels and why the rooms had not been cleaned and NO one was there. Waited for about 10 minutes. Finally knocked on the office door, the guy was unapologetic and said they only clean rooms every 3rd day. Also, the AC stopped working the 2nd night.

We got there and the room wasn’t ready because someone else left late. We got into the room and dropped our things off and left. We came back later to take showers and get some sleep. The shower had wet towels in it and used soap. My father in law said the sheets were not changed. He showed me some dirty spots and that was enough. We went down and there was no more rooms so we checked out and left. They did not refund us the room. Not happy with this place at all!

Very clean and new. Checked in late night and checked out early am. Right by the stairs, which was a little loud with the door slamming. The woman setting up breakfast was nice and unlocked things for my kids to grab food before leaving, since we left 30 minutes before breakfast was supposed to start.
