I stay at this property at least twice a year as this is my hometown. It is a great place to stay with young kids. Breakfast is nice and convenient. During the holiday season, we visit Hardy's Reindeer Ranch, although that is a great place to visit anytime. We love Monical's Pizza and Ott's (& Just Hamburgers in Paxton). Those are our musts when in town. It was great to see all of the new businesses moving into town.

Nice place, but pool and hot tub not open
Very nice place to stay. the only thing that would have made it better was if the pool and hot tub were actually open and usable. Very clean, nice size room.

Exceptional hotel
As usual, an exceptional experience at this specific location. Very well staffed, curteous, attentive and noticeably invested in customer satisfaction as well as taking pride in their work. I equate the effort to be superior to many 4 and 5 star hotels in my past. The total staff's performance solidifies an already excellent facility. Of note, the breakfast is the best around.

Great location and easy to get to. Lots of fast food close by. My only complaint is that we were on in an end room close to the highway, so there was some noise but not too bad. Also, they could use some blackout curtains as the blind didn’t reach all the way to the bottom.

Great stay but pool was out of service
Kim, at the front desk, was amazing. So helpful when we needed to adjust our room count. Checked in on July 28th for an all weekend stay, only to find out the pool was out of service. This was a big disappointment as we were at an outside event all weekend and was really looking forward to taking a couple breaks in the middle of the day to come back to the hotel to swim because it was so hot. Everything else was nice, clean, breakfast was good.

This was a good stay. Front desk ladies very nice. Comfortable bed and pillows were very soft. Small kitchenette with Microwave and Refrigerator. Kerig coffee maker. Nice shower needed sealed at bottom . Took a while to get hot water, but be patient. Very nice lounge chair, but had a nasty looking spot on it. Lots of plugs for gadgets. Breakfast was good, the sausage links excellent!

Pricey with shortcomings
A very nice hotel, good hot breakfast, pricey especially on weekends. Stayed here many times and usually garners top rating, however, this 4 night lodging fell below expectation... 3rd floor ice machine broken, pool and spa inoperable/drained (really sucked)

The front desk staff were not helpful and the pool and hot tub were broken. The pool was the only reason we chose this hotel, and there was no communication that it was not working. Very disappointed. I want my money back, it did not fulfill my expectations.

after driving 8 hours we wanted to swim spa but iy was closed. the hotel should have told us that . we would have booked another hotel. when i asked for a discount i was told to bad so sad. no more holiday inns for us

Good stay, except for the pool closure
The hotel was very well kept, the front desk and staff were great. Very disappointed the pool and hot tub were not available. I planned a mid day hot tub break for my stay that i couldnt enjoy becsuse of the closure to that part of the hotel.

Very nice property! Sad thing was the pool wasn’t working. When that’s your biggest amenity you got to have that working! Or call and tell guests it’s out of service so we can decide if we want to go to a different hotel. Ha! Yeah right!

I arrived late, front desk person was helpful and pleasant. My room was delightful, so clean and very comfortable bedding. The weather went from warm to cold and nasty overnight but I was always comfortable. Overall great experience will pick this place again as it is near my child’s university.

Gentleman at check in was great. Power went out at 5 am that day, came back but no TV or Internet. Went to dinner, came back, still nothing. In am. TV on but only certain channels, internet log on said my name did not match my room number. Tried several times, gave up. Woman at desk had no clue about any of this. Tad disappointing but believe it was out of hotels control.

My son had a ball game at the fields near there. And it was nice that it was just so close that we could just go right there you can see it from the ballpark. Very clean, very friendly. I had a good night sleep.

Check in was simple. Amy is the one who helped us and was amazing! Very professional and sweet. Everything was nice except the pool. We were only stopping by for a few hours and my boys wanted to swim but when I took them down to the pool we couldn’t stay. There was all type of debris floating in the pool and plenty of black dirt in the hot tub. My husband went to report it and he was told that they would get it cleaned but yea it was never closed nor cleaned during our stay. That was the only disappointing part about it to us.

Modern & Simple Rooms
Comfortable, Clean, modern rooms with plenty of useful storage. In room safe. Friendly staff w/ great Breakfast bar! Easy On, Easy Off w/ Free on-site parking. Only downside was longer than normal wait times & overcrowding due to there being only (1) elevator in building.

Staff was short upon check in, did not go over any of the amenities, breakfast hours or location, did not even tell us where our room was. Just handed us our keys and went on to help the next person in line. Housekeeping staff we encountered in the hall was very friendly. Did not love the dog a couple doors down that barked every time someone walked by their door or the kids from the soccer/baseball tournament running up and down the halls and jamming up the elevators.

Needs some care.
For a fairly new place our room needed some maintenance. The cord on the shade was broken, desk lamp didn't work, large red spot (blood?) on carpet. Entry mirror was very dirty. Otherwise the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was "interesting".

It is a fairly new hotel overall in good condition. The only thing is that the pool was not open due to heater issues. We booked it partly for the pool and we're disappointed. Wish there was a way to know ahead of time.

I've stayed in Holiday Inns since 1979. My hotel of preference. This one is pretty much brand new, and very clean and well done. I actually can't think of anything really negative about this property and staff.

Hotel and room were clean and service was good. Only complaint is it was an adjoining room and when they talked it was like we were in the same room. We were out and about a lot so didn’t affect us as much but next time I’ll ask to not have An adjoining room.

Housekeeping is lacking
Front desk staff was awesome. Thinking that they must be short staffed because house keeping is by request only. Unfortunately our room requested housekeeping and was missed a couple of times and did not have clean towels as requested.

Very clean hotel. My kids loved the pool area and enjoyed our warm breakfast in the morning. Staff was really friendly and what I loved the best was all the plugs for our devices to charge. Plus there’s a walmart next door.

For me, the fact that the shower water was hot was a huge win. I hate cold showers. The room was nice, an adequate size for a family of 4. The pool area was nice. The only drawback was that the hot tub temperature was barely warmer than the pool temp. We were there for a baseball tournament and the close proximity to the fields was very convenient. There were also many fast food options close by along with some local dining choices within a 5 minute drive. We definitely would stay here again.

My stay was for a baseball tournament. We stayed Fri-Sun. The hotel itself was great. Great breakfast and check in service. Room was awesome. However the evenings were less than - not totally hotel fault. Guests were celebrating late night and disruptful. Hotel mgmt addressed it after the fact. They need to establish a time frame or a site a little away from the rooms for gatherings.

Overall very good, it was clean and quiet at night. I was told getting 2 queens but ended up with the king suite when I arrived. Pull away was given, but not comfortable. The receptionists were kind and helpful, they did try to accommodate, but the hotel was full. Great location for the baseball tournament. Wish they had an outdoor pool. It was hot !!!

It was a great place to stay, the only issue for us is that we live in a rural area & not used to being next to highway noise. We had just stayed in a Holiday Inn Express in KY a few days before & their breakfast offered many more choices

When I arrived, I checked in at the front desk. The lady was alright just not friendly but not rude. We left for dinner and came back and went up to the room and the key card did not work. It is after 9 p.m. at this point. Then I went back downstairs and there is no one at the front desk and no bell to ring. I looked around for a bit and the place was not being watched at all so being right on the interstate, everything was wide open. After awhile I finally noticed a door that said manager without a window and I knocked. The lady that checked us in earlier came out and I let her know our key was not working. She gave us new keys and we were able to get in. Our blinds had tears in them. The baseball fields at 10 pm were flashing like strobe lights into our room. There was noise being right by the stairs and the door slamming. At 4:40 a.m. we were all awakened abruptly by the dumpster being slammed down by the garbage company. The interstate noise never ended. I had six different hotel rooms in six nights and all different brands. This was my worst stay. I know this town and area well as I used to live here, and the front really should be watched a little better. On a positive note, the next morning the daytime employee was very friendly and so accommodating when I asked for an extra towel for the pool.

I didn’t like that there was noise even from the water running in the shower above us. Woke us up at 4:30 in the morning. Walls are not sound proof. It was clean though.

We choose a room with a wheel-in tub but we got a regular tub with a stool. Not at all convenient for our handicaped person. Perhaps hotels need to have a handicaped person help design the accessible rooms. Then the tub was dirty. When we got to the room it was very cold inside. How hard would it have been to turn up the heat before our arrival.
