Value for money and good location
The location is very convenient and super close to the Navy Base! Just a couple of miles drive to any restaurant in the area. Housekeeping cleaned everyday or as requested.
Shoutout to Sai & Jay - the morning and evening Receptionist. They gave us very good service!

In the room there is an area where the carpet meets the tile, this was very sharp and if I were not careful I may have hurt myself on it.

Not worth the money
This hotel is a typical Days Inn. Nothing negative or positive about it. I booked it due to its proximity to the Navy Boot Camp and unfortunately the management knows this and takes advantage of that location. I can get a much better hotel in downtown Chicago for the same price. Breakfast consisted of cold cereal, breads, and tator tots. Not sure what that was all about. Hampton Inn is far superior.

Coffee was cold and tasted old. Breakfast was the worst I've seen. The hallways got very noisy at 1 am each night. The cable service on the tv was not available, and when I asked about it, I was told there was an 'outage', but the surrounding area had cable service. I asked why the tv in the breakfast area had cable. I was told that that was "Youtube". Dishonesty in hotel staff is a big, red flag. I will not use this hotel or Days Inn again.

The room had no coffee,bed sounded broke and they charged me $50 on top of price .Was told it's in case of damage.there was no damage .no $50.00 return and had to stay Friday and charged $50.00 wasn't returned.mt son graduation from Navy is why we were there.Id like this resulted.money mailed to me.

I expected a bit more for the price
Giving a very honest into the point review because for the price of this hotel, I expected more. Maybe if I had this information and knew what to expect it wouldn't of been quite as disappointing. The best part about this stay was the location. We were in for a Navy boot camp graduation, like everyone else staying here this weekend. It was very convenient and close to the Navy exchange for ticket pick up and the graduation location. The room was clean but not in the best shape. The sheets were clean bit the bead spreads were both stained, shower curtain stained, calking was peeling and stained. Our under the window a/c was extremely loud and would clunk on and off every 15 min thought the night waking us up every time. It didn't cool as it should either. The fan setting for constant fan seemed to be disabled or broken, this would have helped mask the clunking noise. I did ask for a table fan, which they let is use. It helped a little the second night. They collected our towels in the morning around 9, but could not replace them until they were done washing them. The breakfast was a tinfoil pan of Eggos, breads, cereals and fruit. I wasn't expecting 5 star but for the price I would suggest shopping around a bit. Not t but i felt they maybe take advantage of that with high prices and low quality. Our whole party wasn't able to attend the graduation. The navy live streams the ceremony, but the TVs in the hotel we're not smart TVs so we couldn't stream it.

NASTY AND RUDE. BEWARE AND ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK
There was a horrible smell on the second floor. Smelled like someone was smoking a lot of weed and something died. Talked to the guy at the front desk and he told me I didn’t know what j was talking about. The breakfast sucked; frozen waffles and pancakes that were hard and burnt. Coffee was nasty as they didn’t clean the carafes. Front desk staff only wanted to argue about the issues of the cleanliness. We had to clean our own bathroom since it was dirty. Was there for our son’s Boot Camp Graduation and as a Navy Veteran myself this place is horrible. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE FOR ANY REASON. Wouldn’t want my worst enemy staying here. The front desk staff didn’t care about anything except the money. The room is NOTHING like the pictures on the web site.

Nice place
Very nice staff, cleaning crew was excellent. I would recommend taking your own pillows. Breakfast was good. Very close to Naval base, restaurants and shopping.

Great place to stay for the $ but small
We stayed here for my son's Navy bootcamp graduation. The hotel was fine, cannot complain at all (other than low water pressure), but it wasn't really comfortable for when my son came back to the room to chill and shower after the ceremony. If you will be bringing your sailor to the room with you for the day (or weekend depending on his A school orders) I would suggest another property with suites. Only because they are going to want to spread out and this hotel has small rooms and tiny bathrooms.

The staff was very nice but when I complained about the shouting and pounding on the door from the neighboring people that lasted for over an hour, I asked to please please change rooms andwasnt we left early and went to another hotel. Next time please listen to your customers we paid for 6 days and felt very unimportant.

Ok, this is not a luxury hotel, but it is disarmingly charming. The special touches made it a surprisingly unforgettable stay - e.g. the adorably tiny "business center", memorable photo instructions in the lobby, cozy and comfortable breakfast room, vending machine with very affordable typically forgotten essentials, and creative wifi password. Great value for sure!

Not a hotel
Rates are too high for the commodities offered. We added a night to stay and was charged double the cost of the previous nights. This should not even be considered a hotel, it's definitely far from being one. They just take advantage of the graduates’ families that are looking for a place to stay while attending graduation. Will never come back.

if it's to stay for graduation from the navy, it's fine, the location is fine, next door there's a McDonald's that you won't die of hunger for that part, breakfast included, they are bagels and bread, not bad for the price, there are vending machines and ice machine. for what it is, super good!

We attended my son's graduation from the Navy Bootcamp. The location is very close from the base. The dining options are close by, MacDonalds and subway are literaly next door from the hotel. Plenty of packing space. Breakfast is simple but coffee is good. They don't make the beds every day or change the towels, but pickup the trash.

This is a really decent hotel and has very friendly staff. If you are looking for a place to stay that is near the base and for graduation, this is only about 7 mins away from it and the perfect distance from what you will need to be going to.
The front desk staff are all very helpful when something isn't working or if you need assistance.
Breakfast is also provided, but I would suggest going in early for the food, as it will go by quick. This hotel is next to a McDonald's and a Subway, if ever you are hungry.
All-in-all, I enjoyed my stay and will be back if ever!

Don’t eat there
The breakfast was horrifying. Nothing was full they had coffee no sugar. They had cereal no milk. The key locked me out after breakfast cause apparently you don’t need to go into you room again the day you check out before check out.

We stayed for 3 nights. Neighbors were very noisy but no fault to days inn! Hotel was clean and staff was friendly! BREAKFAST ALTHOUGH FREE SUCKED!

The staff was very friendly and professional.
The only comment I would make is the walls were not very insulated because conversations and outside hallway noise was somewhat loud. Breakfast had a very small selection to choose from.The hotel was close to our sailors graduation and thatvwas a big plus for us.

Two comments. The internet connection was poor to bad. I ended up using the next door McDonalds Wi-Fi connection. The breakfast was a joke!! The room needs to be better equipped to allow use of electronic devices.

My room was dirty at check in so they had to place me in another room. When I got in to that room, the sheets on the bed were torn and stained and the room was dusty and not really clean. There was even a large spider web in the window.

Practically no breakfast, didn’t keep up on coffee. TV didn’t work when we got there, maid fixed it. Poor water pressure. Noisy toilet. Shabby bedding. Employees were very nice though.

GROSS!!! & don’t try to pay on arrival
We stayed with another couple, both in separate rooms. The other couples room was more updated and okay. Ours was outdated, moist, stinky, dark, just unpleasant. We left early due to not sleeping. There was a gap around the door where you couldn’t see through, however all night the light showed through brightly.
My favorite part was when we first walked into the room, we found a roach in the bathroom.
The guy behind the counter during check in wasn’t understanding what I was asking for. The lady the next day was very kind and helpful. When booking the hotel I requested to pay upon arrival as I had booked for us and the other couple. They charged me before we got there, and when I asked about using a different card-he only moved the deposit to the other card when I wanted the room (and clearly asked for the room on this other card). It was a mess and headache.

Long check in wait even though no one ahead of me. Room was dark and dingy sink dripped couldn’t fix it. Outside there was not even a chair to sit on, let alone a bench. Overall I would not recommend! Doesn’t look anything like the photo your showing. I wasn’t even sure where the front door was other than the Uber driver showing me. It doesn’t make the one to ten scale!

Being recommended by the navy I thought it would be nice. It wasn’t rooms with carpet had musty smells. The airport shuttle charged $65 one way which was excessive. Coffee pot was in bathroom!!

The only thing that that I liked about this property is that it was close to the Navy base where I attended my son's graduation. The building is not even the same building shown on Travelocity nor on the Hotel/Motel website. The building is actually blue and gray. There is no real lobby. The room smelled horrible. It looks as though it's never been remodeled since the very first time it opened decades ago. I paid for a 3 night stay and we had to find somewhere else to go due to the poor conditions of this hotel. The only reason that we didn't leave the first night was because we got there late and were tired from the drive. We were told that we would not be refunded the additional 2 nights that we didn't stay. I paid $404.00 and would have felt better if I just stayed outside in the elements. We had to go to Target to purchase cleaning supplies and a sheet and some real pillows just to lay on top of the dirty covers they had on what appeared to be a pull out couch. There were 4 pillows that looked like half pillows with full size pillowcase's that were wrapped around them. The mattress was thin and lumpy. When I got up the next morning to attend the graduation the impression of my body was still there. I felt like I was in a skit from "I love Lucy". This is not a hotel. It is definitely a motel and a sin for them to charge anything greater than $50 dollars a night. The front desk was unmanned at night. Worker outside taking smoke breaks or walking the floors.

its just run down, and you will feel that walking in. the bedding is terrible. 4 tiny pillow and you get two sheets, one acts as a comforter. The shower curtain is cloth and the entire floor was wet when i got out of the shower so i had to use 2/4 towel's i was provided to try and clean up the crazy mess. There was a woman yelling on her phone all morning that you can hear screaming profanities about her life and her baby daddy. Other than that ya get what ya pay for $68.00 room. I wouldn't pay anymore for it though.

You are paying for convenience. Don't expect much. They are slowly renovating but my experience wasn't pleasant. They really have a lot of work to do. Large carpenter ants crawling all over the unit, rusting bathroom ceiling, mildewing shower curtains, carpet and transitional spaces need work, light not working, bathroom smelled like urine. I wish them the best. Amazingly nice and accommodating family that owns the place.

Recently refurbished and clean, they took a $50 security deposit on the room which thhey returned but I have never had that done before.

The bedding was stained. There was no cleaning of the room for the 5 days we were there. We had to take the trash out and find public trash can to dispose of it. No new towels, washcloths or handtowels for the 5 day stay. Many of the guests complained loudly of the same issues we were having. Probably the worst hotel experience i have had in this country.

There was a mixup in our reservation -- we'd reserved for one night, not two. Even so, they insisted that they were charging me for two nights. The hotel smelled a bit like a cross between a high school cafeteria and an old age home. When we got to our room, the room door stuck on the carpet, and the room was dingy. Even though it cost us the price of 2 nights, we moved to another hotel. Just couldn't stay there.

Hotel was pretty run down looking outside. Nothing like the picture posted in the ad upon booking. Hotel is pretty run down. Walls extremely thin. No housekeeping services were provided. We stayed for almost a week & had to empty our own trash from our room. The shower had absolutely no water pressure. Breakfast was supp to b provided but it was for only 1-2 mornings & it was just toast & cereal w no milk
