My room & the property was spotless, large and luxurious. Loved the friendly and helpful staff. The bell desk was great, and so were the valets. I loved that you could text the bell desk as well. Close walking distance to many dining options downtown. Enjoyed my stay

What an amazing property.
From arriving to the property Rueben, the valet staff greeted me warmly and made sure I was taking care of.
Macie at the restaurant makes the most amazing Bloody Mary’s and her genuine care made me feel at home.
I ended up extending my stay because of the amazing amenities and attention to detail.
I will definitely come back

The property was extremely close to the heart of Austin. Plenty of things to do and see! I was pleased with the location of the property and the food options in walking distance. The only downside was my check-in process. There could be a better process to check-in individuals online via an app or through a portal to avoid delays.

Very good hotel stayed in prudential suit, view was awesome, best stake restaurant in town.

There is a ton of construction happening in Austin in general. All views from this hotel include cranes and machinery currently. And they're working around the clock. That being said, none of it bothered me. The hotel was gorgeous, decorated for Christmas. Complimentary waters whenever you want them was a nice touch (though we found out on accident). The room was clean and updated, we had no issues with the elevators (I find most hotels have elevator delays, but we didn't experience that at all). I can't say enough, would definitely stay there again.

This is a an amazing hotel staff is wonderful and so helpful accommodating and making sure you stay is once to remember it’s in good walking distance to wonderful restaurants sixth Street and other places

Honeymoon Stay
To start my wife and I were on our honeymoon so I really wanted an experience for us so i went with fairmont for its food options and the pictures of the interior i saw on the website. The hotel itself is modern and is very chic, it feels kind of a big maze with unclear direction though. As for the room the only real complaints are the temperature control which wouldn't go below 70, not crazy warm but not how we like to sleep; second would be the lack of fridge space for keeping items cold for later consumption. Lastly the charge for wifi seems unnecessary and kind of penny pinching. I will say the food is excellent, as a chef in my opinion, the chefs and or cooks do a fantastic job. Overall a slightly above average hotel for a truly above average rate. Minus the food if I could rate the kitchen staff separately itd be an easy 5 out of 5.

We arrived late in the afternoon and were immediately taken to our room. The room was large and clean. It was well stocked and had a great view with gigantic windows. We had upgraded for $100 a day to superior suite, with full access to the VIP lounge upstairs. They supplied alcohol, beer, wine, refreshments all day, and food served at three different times each day. This included breakfast, an afternoon, snack, charcuterie, Buffet , and a late night dessert buffet too!. The staff were very friendly, and the bar downstairs had entertainment each night.

We had a great stay here, no issues. Everything was very clean. The pool was great amenity as well. The location was also perfect, very close to rainy street and other desirable locations within walking distance. I would recommend.

Fairmont is a very nice property. Location is ok - walkable to a few good restaurants. Pool area and lobby are nice. Check-in was amazing - very polite and checked us in early. We were not aware we could request a complimentary frig and microwave. We moved some of the drinks out of the frig to place our waters. Before leaving we place the drinks back in the frig. When we checked out the charges for Fairmont OVERPRICED drinks were on the bill. The gentlemen kindly removed the items from our bill. I will say he wasn't polite about it. Told us we should have requested a frig and not remove their OVERPRICED drinks from the mini frig. I still give the Fairmont a great score. It's a nice place to stay!!

At the Fairmont for a 4 day trip
The Fairmont has always been a great hotel. This trip however I paid attention to the actual structure of the hotel. It looks like it is getting beaten up. The faucets are loose. The showers leak. There are tons of dents and marks on the walls that were not there before and have not been repainted. I suspected the hotel is very successful and is unfortunately the victim of its own success. Hopefully they will pay attention to these or another great hotel will simply fade away.

Room was dated and worn, updates needed badly, bathroom garbage can is in a vanity drawer, shower water temp. inconsistent, very low water pressure, no liner for the ice bucket, no usable mini fridge or microwave, small TV, costly mini-bar and $7.00 bottled water, doesn’t seem upscale. Homeless population around the hotel feels unsafe. Long line to check-in, all seems average to me.

Overall this hotel was awesome. Room was beautiful, bed was super cozy, pool area is gorgeous. We upgraded to the Gold floors and it was well worth the added cost. Staff in the Gold lounge were awesome! The lobby bar is beautiful however it seemed understaffed nightly and/or the staff there (including managers) weren’t overly concerned with providing good service. Pool chairs were a commodity and a couple times there was none available, understandable because it was a busy weekend. There is a lot of construction in the area but overall we had a great stay and would go back again.

They do not give you a top sheet and asking the front desk woman were very unfriendly and professional. Each night you have to fight them for a top sheet because the maid takes then away each day. I will never stay at a Fairmont again. Noisy guest screaming down the halls. I got 3 hours of sleep last night. Terrible experience and they don't care. Front desk people were rude and when you check out don't ask how your stay was or thank you, they don't even speak. Wow really the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.

The food and service was below expectations for a Fairmont. I travel and stay or have dinners in the Hotel MacDonald Fairmont in Edmonton and The Fairmont Banff Springs both had excellent service. I was out for a special dinner in the bounce springs and I asked for a smoked old-fashioned. They said they don’t have one here but the bar in a different area of the hotel does and they just went and got that for me. Exceptional service. At the Fairmont Austin I asked for a drink and they said I’m sorry. We don’t serve that here you’ll have to go to the pool bar. The bar that I was that was right beside the pool bar and they would not go and get me the drinks that I requested. They said you’re going to have to go there and we’re very resistive to helping me. Not the classy experience that I had at the bath Springs.

Checked in to this hotel and Can at the service desk was absolutely wonderful. He was able to check us in early which means a lot and he was very friendly. Every time we will leave or come back the staff would greet us. It very clean but I will say if you visit during a holiday weekend be prepared the pool is not a family friendly environment. And just like any other big city there are homeless around but they do not bother you. They are just lingering around but it wasn’t a issue just doesn’t look the best but nothing you can do. Other than that this hotel stay was 10/10.

No water in the room - 40 degree heat
The fairmont hotel in Austin is a lovely hotel, exactly what you would expect from a fairmont. Beautiful room, beautiful view, nice comfortable bed. However, in record breaking temperatures you would expect that there may be some water in the room. There wasn’t even any to buy from the expensive minibar - crazy.
Also the toilet paper was like sand paper, you’d expect the fairmont to be better - disappointing.

I spent almost $700 for a two night stay. As a paying quest there aren’t enough accommodations at the pool. If you want a basic seat you have to lay claim to it as soon as the pool opens. If you don’t get a seat your only other option to reserve and buy seating.

We visited the Fairmont for the second time in 2023. We came back because we loved the amenities and facilities. Our stay last weekend was excellent, thanks to Nathan's great attention at the front desk. He received us with a great smile and explained the hotel amenities and facilities, and made suggestions for visiting the surrounding areas. We did not get such a welcome during our March visit so we could have had better expectations. However, Nate changed our opinion about the entire staff, and we strongly recommend the stay primarily based on how much happiness he brought to our family with his kindness. We have visited several US and European hotels, and Nate made the stay at Fairmount our favorite. He brings excellent customer service lacking in many places around the world.

Fairmont Austin is a beautiful hotel and property. A couple cons while visiting, from 8/10-8/13, was level P2 in their parking garage was completely blacked out - you had to use the flashlight on your phone to get to the elevator. This was reported. Additionally, I use a handicap pass and on all three days/nights parked at the hotel ramp on P2, there were non-handicap cars in the designated areas, along with cars illegally parked between the two handicap spaces. This was reported, however they were continued to be parked there. It was frustrating.

Great hotel. Never left property so many dining options. Great pool. Only complaint is valet. Always a 30 minute wait on Sunday even when you text ahead. Then finally receive a text “your car is on its way” after we have already left. Need more staff on Sunday.

This was a beautiful property, well-kept and the staff was very pleasant. I was surprised that the pool crowd was a bit rowdy, felt like a pick-up spot, but I don't know how you control that. Maybe no drinks or a limit? I thought the restaurant and bar were a bit expensive, too. But I went to splurge and had a great time.
