I was not made aware that all of the rooms were being occupied by Haitiqns refugees. I lost my "non refundable" reservation and only received this information when I went to check in. I jad already paid so I better be refunded.

We arrived, but we didn't even stay at this Days Inn in Shrewsbury. It had been taken over by the gov't over 1 month ago to house homeless persons. But we were not notified of this until we SHOWED UP TO CHECK IN!! They did offer to pay for our stay at a nearby Econo Lodge, but upon arrival, conditions were much the same. We felt unsafe there also, and Days Inn had sent our reservation info, but not the info that it was paid for, so the desk person wanted to charge us. There were also homeless persons being housed here too, so many people were milling about. Many looked perfectly fine, but others made us feel unsafe. We did not want to spend the night at this hotel either.
We cancelled our reservation and found a room in another town, where things were satisfactory.
I do not intend to pay if there is any bill from Days Inn for our same day cancellation.
We very much dislike the fact that although Days Inn knew for over a month that there wouldn't be a room for us, they never notified us of any issues.

We have to relocate it because of the state taking over the property did not get any heads up any email or being contacted by the company that we were relocating once we got there we were handed a paper that we were relocated no effort of humanity of helping us or suggesting any closer places it was super frustrating because we have picked the place of how close it was

I wanted to share how ungratifying experience we had with this hotel. As we approached the registration desk right there on that moment, we were informed "The hotel was taken over by refugees and you have a new hotel 20 minutes away" receiving this information we immediately asked "why there was no updated about the status of the hotel"? the very poor answer was "we tried to call". I had a group of family with us, witch were send to one hotel and we were send to a different hotel, as a created a huge problem because the event we were all asisting required of us to be early and we ended being and hour late. I hope no one else has to go through any of this inconvenience we faced as our group experienced.

Non functioning air condition I told them at the front desk all they could say was they can’t do nothing about it. It has dirty bathrooms and I’ll never stay there or think about staying there again. This is the most terrible place I’ve ever stayed and I don’t even know how they pass their inspections

What can I say - the post-COVID economy sucks: value for product purchased is just so low, so poor. Understaffing does nothing but erode product quality and further stress and drive away staff, but of course prices aren’t commensurate with the s*** we’re all paying for. What little staff there is are doing what they can but have absolutely no support, so there’s no housekeeping, no clean laundry, no basic maintenance. I’m doing everything I can to not participate in this economy, but life happens and sometimes we need to. And no, this is not an isolated incident (with Days Inn) as the same poor product is everywhere.

The property was decent looking. The room was big with a lot of unnecessary space. The bathroom was so small that you could wash your hands, take a shower, and use the toilet all at one time without moving. The TV was hung on the wall but it was so small. It may have been a 19” TV but with it hung on the wall, it was too far from the bed to even watch. Definitely could use a bigger TV to help fill some of that space in the room or make the bathroom a little bigger.

Not good. Got there at 6 pm and room wasn’t ready so had to wait awhile when you’re supposed to be able to check in at 3 pm. Finally get to the room and it didn’t look clean at all, no sheets or comforter or anything on the bed and a huge back of dirty linen in the shower. Bathroom wasn’t cleaned at all someone’s vape was left on the sink. Don’t stay here.

I live 2.5 hours from the hospital where I received a liver transplant. Early morning follow up day surgeries make the Days Inn a perfect solution for preparing and recovering.

The location of the property was convenient and easy to find, however everything else was very disappointing. The sheets were not clean, the toilet paper holder fell off the wall, the treadmill did not function etc. The staff was very nice despite the other mishaps.

A fire door near our room didn't lock. Outlets in our room were worn out so that they would not hold the plug and make reliable electrical connection.

The place was very run down, my room the bed was awful the mattress was so old it dipped in the middle. The bathroom felt as if it was built for small people the toilet was very low ad well as the vanity counter top. There were holes in the bathroom door. I woke up with a sore throat as if there was mold. Forgive me for saying this but I will never stay at another days inn ever again. I stayed at one in ct one time and it was way worse than this one, and this one was awful. I am not sure who runs these places but they are the slum lords for hotels.

First room was freezing cold and the heat wouldn't work. We were moved to another and accepted as it was warm. It smelled a little of cigarettes but we were too tired to complain. The bathroom ceiling however, was coverd in mold.

The door's lock did not work and a coat hanger was used to fix the issue. It was clearly not the first time that this had happened. It was hard to feel safe after that.

Guaranteed my ass
We had a king bed reserved(guaranteed) supposedly but arrived and they had no rooms. They had to find us a room and only had 2 double beds. Floor in room was sticky and gritty. TV didn’t work! Thank goodness it was only 1 night. Never again!

Bathroom was in need of repair. Water dripped down from the dirty ceiling in the shower. There weren’t full pillows on the bed, just 4 strangely sized half pillows. I could hear every step the person took in the room above me. Overall dingy.

It was an average experience. Nothing special. The TV didn't work when the weather was clear. It wasn't terrible or great. On a positive note, the staff is very friendly and competent.

Didn't know Days Inn was this bad
My first stay in a Days Inn. This place is not nice at all. The hotel staff is behind what looks like bulletproof glass. Rooms are run down. The sheets were clean but I had to wonder if my car would still be there in the morning. Breakfast is just prepackaged food, although in this case that might be a good thing. Next time I will spend the extra money and pick a better place.

Look, it's not the Ritz, but this was a great place to stay. It was clean and well maintained, and the staff was extremely personable, friendly and kind. Surprising number of amenities, including snack machines, business computer and health center. Wifi was reliable and robust!

Bathroom light was not reliable. Only one other bulb in the entire room. No lamp by the bed. Only one electrical outlet in the entire room. Clean towels were folded neatly and left on the bathroom floor when I arrived! HVAC was easy to operate, and worked well.

Do not stay here!
The hotel was absolutely disgusting! Many people actually living there, broken down cars in the parking lot that looked like they haven’t moved in years. The place was filthy, I don’t think they even own a vacuum. One of the back entrances had a couple just hanging out in lawn chairs having a meal! The room next to us the people were just yelling and screaming. Although marijuana is legal in Massachusetts not everyone enjoys it or like the smell! The hallways were wreaking of it. When I see days inn I never expected it to be a dump! Stay away!

The hotel itself does not look too bad but the room I says yes in was terrible. Very small and old and broken down. Couldn’t see tv well from bed and that’s hard to not see it well in a room that small, but this room achieved it. Old carpets, old everything, not in a good way.

I was here visting family. The price was cheapest in area if visiting Worcester. My room was very clean and beds comfortable. Disregard bad reviews this place is not the Marriott but decent and olay place to stay

Time for a Make Over - STAT!
This hotel needs to be taken off the market. As you walk through the hallways the floors creek like they are going to fall through any moment. You can hear the slightest noise from all other patrons in rooms on and abover your floor. I wouldn't recommend it. I actually considered going out and sleeping in my car. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Good value for Worcester College Reunion Weekend.
Room was spacious enough for two beds with TV, desk, refrigerator, microwave, dresser and end table. First floor room with easy access to front desk, dining area and ice machine. Motel is on Route 9, so access to Worcester is easy for college reunions and WooSOX games at Polar Park. Friends who stayed downtown complains about small rooms in big name hotels. No frills here, but affordable.

First walking into our room, our beds weren’t made with dirty blankets and sheets thrown on top. After 30 minutes they cleaned our room and made beds. The hallways reeked of cat urine. The paintings inside the room were crooked, window frame was broken. Only good part was the AC. Also charged me $50 security deposit when nothing was broken or anything. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed In, disgusting and just overall bad experience, look elsewhere.

Property has no elevator. You have to carry all luggage up to the second floor. Hotel is dirty and floors are weak/full of creeks. Hotel smells pld and dirty. Toilet seat didnt match toilet and you slid when you sat. Check in staff was rude and insulting.

Not a bargain hotel, yet the ceiling/floor is thin, heard heavy footsteps from above all the time. Room could have used a cleaning on the table surfaces. The remote control for the television worked poorly if at all. Otherwise, the bed and linens were clean and comfortable, The bathroom was clean. Internet was good, fridge and microwave were handy to have.

First we were given the wrong type of room at checkin, then given a room where the heat and tv did not work. Finally, 3xs the charm, we finally were given the correct room with working amenities. The staff was cooperative and helpful non the less.

There was a food item left in the refrigerator, not enough towels for two. The front desk clerk eventually had to leave his station to bring more towels to our room. It was a late arrival for us, and the Inn looked very crowded that night so I give him high praise for handling the problem with genuine concern and a friendly smile.

Disgusting hotel. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Water spots on the ceiling in the bedroom. Multiple bad patch and repair spots on the walls and ceilings with mismatched paint colors. Lamps were greasy. Carpet and beds were nasty. Definitely wouldn't walk around barefoot. No selections for breakfast. Nothing warm. All juice was either just water or juice flavored water. Really regret wasting my money. Wish I had booked down the street at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Westborough. SOOO much nicer for less money. I want a refund!!

Night Desk was very helpful. Room was reasonably clean but brought my own cleaners and sanitizers anyway. Bed was very comfortable, however, plastic mattress cover should be placed under quilted mattress cover to avoid a stained mattress which was disgusting. Gym was adequate, however, needs thorough cleaning, musty odor, damp, no circulation, treadmill not working. Carpets need cleaning, sorry to report, had roach in room. Hotels should list their pest control policies. TV was out for 2 day stay. No luggage cart available. Needed for handicap customers. Staff very friendly and helpful, rates reasonable, nice breakfast, however, will not stay again because of above. Days Inn used to have a reputation for a quality stay but not this one.

Room was newly painted but several other rooms were being remodeled and it smelled liked construction materials. There was no hot water for shower no matter when we tried to take shower. Garbage was not taken out of our room and beds not made etc after 1st night. Hot water for tea and instant oatmeal was cold but no microwave in dining area so had to take back to room. I understand with still ongoing issue with covid limitations of food o ly prepackaged kind of thing but oranges were rotten and sitting tgere for people to take. The most disturbing thing was that back door was not licked at all anyone could just walk in without room key.

Negatives: No daily room cleanup. Safe parking is limited. No elevator - difficult for those with mobility issues. Very dated, worn property.
Positives: Decent breakfast options. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Clean (although well worn) room.

It was a one night respite from our hectic lives. Will do it again if the need arises.
Hotel needs some upkeep, but was clean considering. Ice machines were both out of service. But other than that is was a good night's rest, quite and close to everything we needed

We stayed there last minute. Checked in at 3:00 a.m asked for late check out and were told 1:00 . That’s fair. At 11:00 am the maid knocked and I told her we had late check out. She said no problem, she’ll clean our room last. 11:15 someone is banging on the screaming at us to get out. It was a woman and a man . I said we had late check out and she said we had to go. I was sworn at, screamed at and made to feel like a criminal . I said Ill get him up and go. He took a quick shower while I packed up. She saw all our stuff by the door, cuz I left it open .She Then started screaming she was calling the police on us and it wasn’t even noon yet. We ran out as quick as possible. She also said we’re on the do not rent to list. Like I’d ever stay there again. Also there was a sharp spot on the desk chair that took a huge chunk out of my friends heel , it bled for 2 days . Overall the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

Much to be desired
So many things didn't work when I got there. Lamps, clogged toilet, couldn't figure out how to work the tv, pillows uncomfortable, curtains didn't cover the whole window so a lot of light streamed through at night. Fridge was unplugged and warm as could be. Could not immediately get a crib for the baby. Breakfast left much to be desired. Outer doors were unlocked so not secure at all. It was....meh. I won't go back.

Door outside near our room was broken, washers were broken, also the wifi was not at all secure no password. Housekeeping came only 2 times changes towels and took out traah 1 time. They did not clean the room or change the bedding.

The toilet was clogged and ran over all over the room. There was no phone in the room. The front worker was quick to get us a new room. That was great. There was no toaster available when there was supposed to be.

There was nothing I liked . I have never stayed in such a dirty disgusting hotel.! The smell of smoke was so overwhelming I could taste it for hours after we left. The cigarette butts and clumps of hair on the walkway was so gross

The rooms looked nothing like the pictures. Hot water only worked for 2 minutes. VERY outdated and grimy. Not worth the ridiculous $$. Whole hotel smells like Curry. Big box heater was rusty. Rooms not finished. Patched holes & un-sanded/uncovered mud everywhere.

I don’t like that the guest use the parking lot as their personal ashtrays and trash bucket. I love love how friendly and attentive the staff are
