This place used to be a good hotel but obviously is under new management and has went down hill. Me and multiple members of my family used to stay at this hotel multiple times a year we’ll never be going back. It was dirty, there was pieces of tape on the bathroom walls, sheets were stained and dirty. We were told that the whole bottom floor was flooded and was closed until it was renovated, mold spreads I don’t think it’s really safe for any of this hotel to be safe under these conditions. We didn’t have any hot water and when we called to report this we were rudely told that it would be a while before they could fix it. We waited for a hour my daughter was late for her 4h show and they never came to the room to fix it so we all had to take cold showers. The hot water issue wasn’t fixed the whole time we were there. Management and everyone we spoke to who worked at the hotel was rude. There were people who you could clearly tell did meth all around the hotel. Sad to see a hotel that I’ve always spoke so highly of going downhill like this.

Just was dirty and the floor was bad. Told the manager and he didnt seem to care. He didnt apologize or anything. Then when expedia called he called me a lier and said there was nothing wrong wven though I have pictures.

Check in took forever even though it was midnight and I was the only one checking in. The man working took a copy of my debit card which makes me very uneasy. There were loud people out front. The room was decent but it was obvious the floors has not been mopped and there was food particles around the sink. The linens had black fuzzies all over them.

Good location & staff but poor quality facilities
Room door would not close unless slammed then red light and sound beeped constantly. Staff said I had to slam it when leaving or lock it when inside. No coffee maker in room even though advertised on the website. Staff gave me hot water from lobby for tea. Mattress squeaky and lumpy, Floor very dirty, Paint spills on sheets that were not changed the next day.

The place was in good shape, good room, comfy beds, quiet and easy to park our truck and it felt safe. The breakfast that they say is included is a waste and obviously cheap and not well thought about. Just ditch it and don't bother offering it at all.

The property was attractive, in a safe area and extremely clean. The service was outstanding. We got fresh towels and daily cleaning for the four days we were there, even without asking. The staff was friendly and helpful and did their best to make us feel comfortable. The coffee was great, but we don't do "grab and go' breakfast very well. However, there were good breakfast facilities nearby. Everything considered, we got what we paid for.

Bed was uncomfortable. “Free breakfast consisted of mini chocolate donuts and apple sauce. Shower was falling apart. A/C fan broken. Oh and bugs crawling all over the floors.

If you only have enough money to cover this hotel, it is a place to sleep. Other than that, I would recommend spending a little more to go elsewhere. I immediately regretted booking this hotel upon check-in. The bathroom in the lobby was closed. The pool is a hole in the parking lot, small and apparently a place where adults sit and smoke. There were multiple groups of guests that were hanging out in camping chairs outside of their rooms. The breakfast is grab and go snacks, like granola bars, which I wish I had paid better attention to. The floor in the room was uneven, with what felt like pockets in the faux flooring. The room was ok but sloppy ‘finishing’ in regards to any recent updates. The shower curtain was cloth and brown/dirty at the bottom.
It is is a convenient location, but many other hotel options are in this area as well - I should have spent a little extra money for a lot nicer place to stay if I had it all to do over. Much more like a motel than hotel.

Needs to be sprayed for bugs, especially ants. Pool is not as big as picture shown nor clean. Grab and go breakfast was a joke (really nothing to grab) You get what you pay for..

Mostly wonderful but small small space
People were friendly, most spaces were very clean and the room was comfortable. The only issues we had were it was a very small space and there was a loose floor tile in our room near the dresser that was a tripping hazard. No big deal for us because we were only in the room to sleep at night but it could be more of an issue for anyone who was spending much more time in the room.

The sheets had holes in them and a K written in magic marker. Ice machine had unidentifiable substance in it. Room very small and dated. AC unit very loud every time it started. Hotel charged me $20 for my dog but didnt mention fee on website. The free breakfast is a joke. No fresh fruit. Just some processed food choices. Place is an absolute dump.

The room smelled worse than any moldy basement I have ever been in. I only stayed because it was 1am and needed to be up and back on the road in a few hours. My wife had an asthma attack and, in the morning, my throat was sore and raspy. We both had severe headaches. In addition, the couch had a giant stain and the bedsheets were clean but stained.

I can not stress enough about cleanliness in this hobo dump. When I checked in, I was told that housekeeping would be done daily. I work night audit at Marriott hotels, and I was appalled by the fact that they did not change out their sheets. My family slept in filthy beds for 4 nights (because they had a clean room when we checked in). My family’s socks have to be treated to get the sticky black stuff out of them. There was actual poop in the toilet from another person. When I asked for service I was told that “I’m not a housekeeper, it’s not my job” by the second shift clerk. In terms of maintenance, we couldn’t close our bathroom door as we would get stuck in the bathroom, and this scared me because it took me forever to get out! Paint peeling off the walls.
Breakfast is a joke! Snacks are not breakfast, even for grab and go. So much more money wasted on restaurants that serve breakfast than the breakfast that we were promised. Over half a thousand dollars wasted on this hotel, and I can honestly say that I don’t recommend this location! I work hotels. To be relatively relevant in the competition for the market, this location is garbage. So utterly ridiculous in their standards. Do better Windam!

This hotel was very our dated and the room was bull of gnats!! It was a horrible stench from the moment you walked in, my kids thought it was a motel because it looked so bad. Would never recommend or ever stay again!

Never Again!!
The hotel is run down. The free breakfast was granola bars and apple sauce. My TV remote didn’t work and it took them until the 3rd night to get one that worked. The house keeping staff did not speak English and couldn't understand the difference between decaf and regular coffee, but also didn't even try to replenish. I had to go to the office to get coffee. The hotel allows smoking rooms and you can smell it in non-smoking rooms. The only plus was that it was cheap, but I definitely got what I paid for.

Never again!
Check in was fine. The problems started when we walked in the room. It was 8:15 at night and was dark. I opened the door and stepped in the room. Only to fall because the floor is uneven, slopes about 4 inches from one corner of the door to the other. The floor all around the inside of the door is soft and squishy. Once we get inside, it was hot so I took our grandson to the pool while the room cooled off. We were there 10 minutes and left because of all the men sitting outside their rooms making inappropriate comments to us. We get back to the room and went to bed. Only to wake up sore a couple hours later from falling when I walked in. I got out of bed and stepped on a cockroach. Our grandson was sleeping otherwise I would’ve packed up and left at that point. This morning it is even more obvious how bad the floor is sloped and the door is so out of alignment that it’s no wonder there are bugs in the room. The pics are with the door completely closed and look at all the gaps. I told the employee about it when I checked out this morning and all I got in reply was “ok”.

Pool was closed which was disappointing, and the breakfast options were slim. I wasn’t expecting much but there was not even fruit, cereal, or bagels which is typically available at every continental breakfast.
Overall the room was nice enough. We were out and about most of the day and just needed some place to sleep. It appeared to have undergone recent renovations.

Only one thing really bothered me. The check in guy, when I gave him my card for incidentals he asked for a different one because it didn’t have numbers on it and then wrote down the numbers so he wouldn’t have to charge my card. I woke up at 3 am because it dawned on me that he wrote down my info! Ugh!

hotel was updated a few years ago, room was clean and close to restuarants. needed a place to sleep for a night on a long road trip, price was reasonable and easy access to highway, coffee n juice and friut cups were a pleasent surprise, no hot breakfast but lots of coffee, juice and friut cups an bars. for a place to just sleep on a trip, no complaints

Someone please tell me why they advertise as having breakfast? If I could attach pictures I would. The sign that was by the granola bars reads, "Our breakfast offerings have been updated". The beverage machine was out of orange juice & apple juice. The options were water or cranberry juice!

Property needs upgrading a must. mice holes in bath room were pluged with toilet paper. No tissues in the dispencer at the wash basin. Heating was hard to control. No continental breakfast available.

I did not like the smell or appearance of our room. It had hair, lint, and dust on the bathroom floor and furniture. My daughter is a college student at Tennessee Tech. I called ahead to see if we could receive a discount with her ID card. I was told yes. (I believe the person I spoke with on the phone was Kathy.) When we arrived there, the clerk said we could not receive the deal because we had scheduled our reservation with Expedia. We would have to cancel that reservation and reschedule the reservation, she told us.
The location of the Days Inn is good. I loved my stay in Cookeville and intend to return and visit with my daughter and her family. I am not sure I will stay at this Days Inn again, however. It was inexpensive but unsatisfactory.

Check in was ok. Asked questions and they couldn't be answered. We asked if a specific restaurant was nearby and we were told no. He didn't even offer to help us find out. He seemed annoyed that he had to even come out of the back room to help us. Upon checking on our own we found it to be less than a quarter mile from the hotel.

Pro- looks like they tried to do some updates recently. Cons- the updates look like they hired a 4th grader to do them. I’m 5’ 9” & the shower head was below my shoulders. Hole in the tub where the overflow is supposed to be located, but it was just exposed and not connected to a drain at all. Dangerous for flooding! Many other things construction wise that was cutting corners. I got out of the shower (husband locked himself out of the room) and stepped on the floor and had to get back in the shower because the floor was so nasty! It was so dirty the water turned the floor into being muddy ish . Lamp shades were discolored like they had water damage. Questionable stain on fitted sheet. Random hairs on the mattress under all the sheets/padding. Room below us looked boarded up. I’m guessing water damage. We were in 214. Good news is there’s a McDonald’s right across, so you’ll not be missing out because the breakfast is “pretty limited” according to staff that checked us in.

Room smelled terrible of cigarettes. No nonsmoking rooms available so stayed since it was so late. Turned water on for a shower that evening. Water just dribbled out, so no relaxing shower after a long days drive. Could only brush my teeth because I had my own bottled water. Got into bed that evening and saw a large bug crawling on the ceiling. Thank God, no bed bugs! Breakfast was pathetic. Ended up having to go to McDonald’s instead. Never again! Yuk! 😬😖

Best thing about the place was the price. The shower head was low but had good pressure. They had the cheapest toilet paper ever and only one roll. No place to hang clothes. No drawers to put your clothes in. Old floor was uneven and new floor was installed over top of it. Shower tilted out. Two towels and two washcloths only. Maybe good for a one night stay only. Cheap so you will get what you pay for.

Days Inn Cookeville is in a good location & is in decent condition room was clean but the king size bed was lousy soft lumpy mattress on both sides was very uncomfortable PLUS the city was working on water lines so no breakfast served & no water during the early am hours.

My son and I was there for a funeral. We mainly needed somewhere to sleep. The motel was quiet and clean. I would have enjoyed a better coffee maker with replenished coffee packs and more wash cloths as they were used. Over all this was a nice motel with ease of checking in and out.

Not good. No phone service in the room. We had two adults in our room , we originally were given 3 body towels, 3 hand towels, and 3 wash clothes. Friday night We used 2 body, 1 hand and 2 wash clothes. After we returned Saturday night our beds were made, used towels taken but new towels weren’t replaced. So at 10 pm after a long sweaty day, and getting ready to shower I realized I had no towels or shampoo. I went to call the office and the phone didn’t work. I explained my dissatisfaction the next morning while checking out. The response was to contact the General manager Jessica on Monday 9/12/22. I attempted to call her 4 times and finally reached her on Thursday. After explaining the issues , her response was there’s nothing she can do except talk to the staff. The poor service was due to supply and demand and Covid. Due to the service and poor attitude we will no longer be using Best Western.

Our first room was absolutely disgusting. Sheets were clearly not changed because there was stains everywhere. Gum on the wall. Something else on the wall that we couldn’t even figure out what it was, but looked like s***. Food left in the microwave and freezer and both were stained. Lamps didn’t work. Clearly staying there with an infant, we were highly disappointed and wanted to leave that room.
When we went to switch rooms, the front desk guy didn’t seem to care about any of it, but gave us a new room. That new room was at least better than the first one.
The pillows are horrible though and the bed is like sleeping on a rock.
The pool is nice there though, but with it being outdoors, people in the drive thru at McDonald’s/Wendy’s can see you clearly.
Overall, it was an alright experience for the price we paid, compared to other places nearby, but we will not be staying at a Days Inn again.

The bathroom was not up to standards. The coating is coming off the toilet seat the shower head needs cleaning. We requested adjoining rooms on bottom floor due to me knee issues. The could give us bottom room but apart. We have stayed here before 2 years ago and no issues. Was very disappointed this stay.

The room they gave us seemed as if it was specifically given to those who got deals booking through a 3rd party. No carpet, running tub, uncleaned. We were only given a normal room after we complained, and while that room was cleaned and carpeted, the AC was broken.

The pool was very nice, it had chairs to sit by and a few tables. The room was dirty. There were hairs behind the sink, the floor had not been vacuumed, there was hair in the bathtub and some mystery slime on the wall. The one bed had cigarette burn holes all in the blankets. The breakfast was disappointing, a few granola bars, yogurt and packaged mini donuts.
