Broken, dirty, roaches, no hot water
This place was pretty bad. Damaged items in the room such as broken desk chair, damaged chair, missing/broken guard on ac unit. The room was not very clean aand thr hotel also has roaches. On top of that the water temperature would only make it to luke warm for just a couple of moments and then would get colder. The staff was friendly but never seemed to be able to resolve any issues. 3 night stay

Nasty....
The room was gross and obviously not clean it looked like poop smeared on the bathroom floor some kind of dried liquid on the door holes in the bedding and what looked like poop under the rooms chair the toilet paper dispenser was falling out of the wall and edges and outlets had a one inch nasty residue on them. We had our dogs with its bad when u have to tell your dogs not to lick anything cuz they might get something....wouldve asked for something else but from the looks of it the rest wouldve been the same way

We only stayed 1 night for about 10 hours. More or less to get some sleep. Our room was a bit run down. Bed was comfortable and the pillows were good. Small lobby and breakfast area

The carpet needs to be shampooed. My feet got dirty walking around on the carpet. Bathroom needed ceiling and upper wall repair and painting above the shower head. Housekeeping did a great job with fresh linens and towels and cleaning the room every day. Location is good. Area surrounding the back of the property is not kept well. Not attractive to look at. For the cost per night it is a good place. Would stay there again.

I spent several nights here, for convenience to I26. I couldn't figure out WHY the bottoms of my feet were so filthy dirty after being in my room for awhile. While standing in front of the TV table, I was eating a yogurt and a small blob of yogurt hit the carpet. So, naturally, I dampened a wash cloth and took it several times, over the spot to clean it up. After 5 or 6 swipes over the carpet, the washcloth was nearly black. I then realized WHY the bottom of my feet were continually dirty. So I took a towel, wet some of it, with soap and commenced to scrub both feet again and the towel was gross and dirty from the bottoms of my feet. Kept my flip flops on at all times from that point forward. I took the blackened wash cloth and towel to the office and plopped it down and told the girl that this was just disgusting and that it was nasty and asked how many years had it been since the carpets were shampooed? She had NO words. I asked what they were going to do about this for me because I was most unhappy and disgusted. They DID NOTHING. The toilet paper holder was totally coming out of the wall, and the every time I brushed my teeth or ran the water in the sink, the drain backed up and took forever to drain. The "family" who operates this motel has done NOTHING to make these rooms at least cosmetically acceptable. Yeah, you get what you pay for I guess. At least the sheets were clean, & I inspected the mattresses & bed linens with great intent & i did not find any bedbugs

Comfy bed. Smelly room.
Comfortable bed. The room smelled really bad unfortunately. I don’t need much when I travel for business, but I hate when a room smells bad and all my clothes end up smelling like the room after your stay.

If you're looking for a cheap place to stay due to a nearby football game or have to stop somewhere, this fits that need. It is a family-run motel and the staff is friendly and helpful. The place is also right off of the highway. However, the complimentary breakfast should be avoided. Everything tastes like it has been left out. If you're on a budget, make the stop but visit the Waffle House next door.

Wasn't worth the hour-long check-in process
They claimed not to have my booking in their system, but they wouldn't lift a finger to help. It took me over an hour to check in, because I had to track down a live hotels.com agent--which is no easy feat, by the way--but she did resolve the problem right away. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed, but whomever renovated it doesn't know how to sand or paint.

The first room they tried to put us in looked like a murder had happened. I have pictures of the bedding. Blood and bodily fluid stains. Took 3 rooms tries to get a clean room.

Good quality low budget hotel
Traveled to Newberry for a late show and stayed the night here. The room was much cleaner than I expected it to be for the price. The check in and out process was quick and easy and the workers are very friendly. I would definitely stay here if I were ever in the area again.

Disappointed - Lack of professionalism/cleanliness
This motel is overall in need of being torn down. It is not maintained well, there is some effort but it is missing the mark from the lobby with its cramped, dark appearance and handwritten signs to the rooms. I understand I arrived early before 3 pm. I don't understand why the employee allowed me to check-in if the room was not ready. I entered the room and found all the linens balled up and laying in different piles. The sheets were grossly stained, along with the mattress. This really leaves a question of even if linens are being cleaned and if they are disinfected? If sheets or mattresses are stained to the degree of what tI witnessed they should be replaced altogether. This really is a bad representation of the brand and I will not be using Hotels.com or the Days Inn companies for lodging ever again.

Ok for the price..
The corners n the bathroom floor were not cleaned. There was part of a condom wrapper on the floor nxt to the bed. At check in we were told $10 to exend checkout time vs $10 per hr.

Stay was way better than expected. Great value! Only complaint was that you could feel the springs in the mattresses but, surprisingly enough, I had one of the best sleeps that I’ve had in months!! I don’t know how that happened but I’m not complaining

In town for a show at the nearby theatre. Parking lot is broken pavement, what appear to be vagrants milling around parking lot. Very unsafe looking environment. Picture shows only corner of the hotel. What you don't see tells the story. We tried to call and cancel. Was told to call back later and card charged in middle of the night. No other lodging available in area. Missed show and drove an hour home. RIP OFF!!!!!!

I was told that i couldn't rent a room due to my truthful review the private owner got mad and put on DR LIST due to my review also staff got mad about my room having dry food crumbs on the floor after staying in the room for 5 days also they took my linens away on the second day yet never brought them back during the entire stay one guy took my key card to reactivate only to tell me when i ask from them that he'd already given to me which wasnt truthful i asked for the tape to be rewind i was told no.that they was given back only for me to be inconveniently charged 50 dollar in the future in order to rent a room then finally i was told that the owner said not to rent to me due to my review sad given i had spent close to 1000 for shelter for me and my four children. So to be treated this way i truly hope someone looks into this property properly

Nice stay
I was unsure about this hotel after reading some of the reviews. My daughter attends nearby Newberry College and the usual hotel we book was full. I was very pleasantly surprised. The gentleman at the front desk was very kind and helpful. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. My only complaint was the shower water pressure wasn't the best. I will absolutely stay here again!

There was no elevator to second floor for guests with mobility issues. Batgroom toilet wall connections were rusty. The room was comfortable enough for one night. Had accessable room with bathtub, no where near enough bars to hold if you have problems standing to take a shower. Breakfast was grab and go, left early did not grab. Got a large screw in tire had to go to Walmart to get it fixed, parking lot was not clean. Otherwise good enough for one night.

The hotel is old, out dated and filthy. The front desk was rude which should have been my reason to leave, but due to prepaying and notice stating no vacancies we stayed. The bedspread had burn marks. The room reaked of smoke.

Cleanliness qas terrible. The comforers were stained and the shower curtain was yellow and moldy and obviously not changed in a very long time. The outler for the coffee pot did nit work had to move it ro the bathroom counter.

The room was full of flies so I had to get a fly swatter from the front desk. Our refrigerator didn't work so I had to have them fix that. Which they must have left the door open while they did that because when we got back to the room, it was full of flies again. The beds were the most uncomfortable I've ever slept in. When housekeeping came in to clean our room, they only made one of the two beds we had in our room. The TV was so dirty that I had to clean it to be able to see the picture clearly.
We won't be staying at this hotel again.

They indicated that they had fishing boat parking. There was only one electrical outlet for six boats. Very bad. I will not stay there again. If you have a boat do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
The service was bad. They took the dirty towels and didn’t leave any clean ones.

The room was not very clean. The carpet was sticky and left a black print on my daughter's hand. There were also hand prints everywhere on the headboard. We had to clean it ourselves. Overall, the stay was okay but again not very clean at all.

When my family and I arrived, we checked in without incident. We did have a reservation. We were given a room and a key card bearing the number of the room we were told. The key unlocked the door, but there was a man sitting inside! The room had already been assigned. I’m glad it wasn’t worse than that. We were given a new room.

Room was old and furniture was falling apart. The confhad stains on it. The refrigerator buzzed all night. There was constant noise outside all night long! We needed to rest during a road trip. The bed was very hard. I didn’t even want to shower here.

Wouldn’t recommend.
I had requested an early check in because I had to travel to South Carolina for a funeral. I got there and they said the room wouldn’t be ready until 2:30 pm to clean it so we went and had lunch and came back checked in. Went to use the hotel key and the key wouldn’t unlock the door due to faulty door handle so i had to have the owner I’m assuming open it for me a couple times. Other times when he wasn’t around it took me at least 10-15 minutes to get into my room. But upon first arrival, the hotel room was still visibly dirty. The sheet on the bottom of the bed was dirty, the sink was dirty, the shower hadn’t been cleaned, the toilet had urine on it. All things we had to clean ourselves and the main reason they said our room wasn’t ready.
I will be writing to corporate about all of these issues.

I wasn’t satisfied at all, this was my third stay and I was dissatisfied because the last two stays the room had bugs in it and I couldn’t get another room!
