Disappointing
The person who checked us in was not friendly and the hotel has a policy that it only cleans the room once a week on Mondays. The tv didn’t work and the beds had loud plastic under the sheet so it woke us up whenever someone moved in bed.

Worth a day stay not days and budget friendly.
It wasn’t the best it could have been better , yet it was close to many places to eat including the outlet so that was a plus but it could have been better.

The clerk at check in was terrific, he was pleasant and jovial. The clerk at check out was disinterested at best. The room was acceptable for the price, only two small issues… the pillows were horribly uncomfortable and the tub would not hold water. All things considered, I would stay again, provided I brought my own pillows.

Its a motel with a pool... basically. For the price, I would have rather spent the extra $30 a night and gone to a nice hotel. Yes, its a pet friendly hotel but I did not expect the rooms to be as they were. Chewed holes in the shower curtain, fur/hair on the floors, dirty dressers inside, etc. They also supplied our room with used bar soap and used shampoo & conditioner, so gross. I'm a clean freak so for me this was a terrible stay. My boyfriend is not, he stated this was ok and "not the worst" he's stayed in but that it could definitely be cleaner. Also, huge ton of chemicals and chlorine in the pool, over powering that you couldn't put your head under. No working laundry on site, needed to go across the street. Laundry mat was... in poor conditions. Surrounding area was ok, definitely need a car to get around. Fast food was right next door though, so kind of good. If I absolutely needed to and didn't have the money for anything else, I would stay here. But if you're someone who likes a clean place and peace of mind, my advice is to go elsewhere. I was delighted we didn't get bed bugs..

After leaving my first room (smelled like weed) the second room sink didn't drain at all. The staff was quick to fix it. It was fixed after I went next door to do laundry.
Pool was full of kids having a fun summer. It was nice to see. It was a last minute booking when there was a mixup at my previous reservation. Decent place for the price and availability.

I chose this place based on my experience with the company in PA. I used to say for work because I lived 10miles away & each one was always. Clean and staff was pleasant. Unfortunately this one reeked of cigarette, the room was just in my opinion nasty. I wanted to cheer my husband up, so we took a mini vacation.in all honesty I weigh I would’ve spent more and went somewhere else but we arrived so late.

Used as a night stopover, for that purpose it was perfect! Clean and comfortable bed, nice and easy shower (if a little slippy!), And the staff were friendly and helpful. Air conditioning was in perfect nick too, which is handy for the pastiest scotsman in Norfolk 😁

No amenities..no hair dryer, curtsey shower products, nothing. Phone was broken, ice machines didn't work. You can hear every little sound. You can plan on getting little to no sleep.. No coffee maker..nothing but bare boned and a cheap bed. This is on par with a $60 room

The first room was not clean, liquid on the floor, beds not made. The second room was not clean you could smell mildew, there was fruit fly's and the fridge freezer was freeze up. The dog smell was evident.

The lady at the front desk Crystal "easy to remember" was so rude. She refused to help us, and she argued with us with her nasty attitude. She refused to change our room. The toilet in room 103 is so dirty. They should just get a whole new seat. I refused to sit on that toilet or even go to that bathroom. There were bugs and the room just felt dirty. We were lucky to get help the next day and they moved us into a new room. How hard was that for her to do?

While the check-in staff was very nice, the actual room was awful. The bathroom floor was in need of replacing and dirty, the mattress on the bed was broken and had a sharp edge sticking up on the side that scratched my leg. Fixtures were peeling. The air conditioning unit had very little control between non-functioning and freezing and was very loud. There was no justification for the nightly charge at all.

Cheap, in all the wrong ways.
Front desk person was kind and efficient. The room felt damp, and the bed was wet when we got into it on the first night. The whole room was dusty and the floor needed to be cleaned. It smelled like smoke the entire time we were there, despite requesting a smoke-free room. The microwave and the refrigerator didn't work at all, and the fan in the bathroom was so loud, that I couldn't hear my wife in the other room at all. The sink stopper was detached from the rest of the sink and was sitting in the sink. I guess it's alright we didn't break the bank staying here, but we spent two nights at a nearby friend's house because we didn't feel safe with the door lock broken off of the door. Some of the lights in the room didn't work, and one of the power strips was hanging by a cable that was plugged in to a bedside alarm clock.

The first room we were given had sand in the bathtub. It smelled like smoke even though it was a nonsmoking room. We asked for another room. The second had a cleaner bathroom but the room smelled terrible. It was a mix of smoke and something trying to cover it up. We did get a great dinner recommendation.

When we go into a room at a hotel we always check for bed bugs. One of the beds had at least 30 spots of bed bug blood on the mattress cover. I have never seen anything like this before. Hotel staff refused to give money back because we booked through Travelocity.

definitely not for me.
I would not stay the night here again even if it was free.
Smoke-free rooms are a joke.
This place had boarded-up windows, overgrown landscaping, and chipped paint everywhere.
lesson learned never ever stay at a cheap place.
this was all my fault.
I really want my money back.
I hope they could invest in their business and bring it back to life.

I had no idea there were smoking rooms - we ended up in one and it was horrible - I am allergic - we asked to change and were told since we booked with expedia we had to pay another night to move - manager finally moved us for additional money - just gross and very stressful - I would not stay at a Red Roof again

You get what you pay for
We booked this hotel because it was central amd it was cheap. We had reserved 4 nights and ended up only staying 1. First off, the room next to us was boarded up and blocked off with caution tape. There was mysterious brown goo on the wall, brown smudges on the covers of the bed, and a dirty washcloth over the shower head. It was cheap, but also gross and downright scary. When i went to check out, the morning staff ignored me for 5 minutes and went on having a conversation amongst themselves. They did agree to refund me. Overall not the best vacation starter.

Great stay
We had a great stay the bed was super stiff but that was the only complaint. We only stayed one night. We honestly wished that there was one closer to where we were staying because our current place has a lot of issues.

Dead body found
Went out for the day and came back to the hotel around 2am and pull up to a bunch of cop cars right outside our door… turns out there was a dead body in the room right below ours and when we requested to be moved at 3am we were told that we would have to pay for another room… eventually we were granted another room about 4 am… we will never stay there again

I originally booked this hotel for 3 nights knowing the reviews were not wonderful but weren’t absolutely horrible either (remembering every hotel has bad reviews). Upon adk Al, I was greeted & that gentleman (I unfortunately don’t remember his name) was very nice. When I got to the hotel room, it was very underwhelming; however, nothing I wasn’t somewhat expecting (again, based on the reviews). I was traveling with my boyfriend and it was really just a place to sleep as we had a busy schedule. We left the night of check in (arrived around 3, showered, changed & left by 5) and when we returned, no more than an hour later, the room smelled absolutely horrible. It was as if someone had just chain smoked for 5 days. We called the front desk and asked to switch rooms. The front desk attendant was no help at all & extremely rude. About 10 mins later and while we’re booking another hotel, the maintenance man shows up & sprays the walls of our room with two separate bottles that I can only describe as what looked & smelled like a combination of febreeze and pesticides. The scent was so strong & quite concerning that we had to crack open the door to hopefully air the room out.
We did end up checking out & leaving early. The check out process was easy; however, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

We checked in and were given keys to a room that was in a back alley, facing dumpsters. There was trash outside the room and upon entering, the room was not cleaned/serviced from the previous guests. The on-site staff was very understanding and did offer a room change, but we decided to go elsewhere. They cancelled the reservation and we received a full refund.

Fighting in the parking lot all night,
Rude people blasting LOUD window shaking music from 1am till 3am and nothing done about it because the staff is not allowed by the management to go outside at night.
I will never stay at this location again.

The toilet wasn't secured to the floor. The tv and remote were barely working. My bath mat (cloth) had stains and about half of the outlets worked. I also found a washcloth laying on the lamp hanging above the bed.

I witnessed the owner being very rude to a women asking a question before I even had the chance to check in. Our room had marks on the walls, a dirty shower curtain and one of the sheets had cigarette burn whole. (We were in a nonsmoking room)
The wifi connection was great.
Overall I would not stay again for the price.

Trust the Negative reviews!
The place was dirty, absolutely filthy! Floors could use a mopping for sure. The bottoms of my feet were were so gross after walking on the floors. I now understand why people say theirs towels and washcloths are stained and dirty. Mine was black after washing my feet.
And about the towels.... roughest things I have ever dried off with!
On to the bathroom now. There was mold growing on the walls... unacceptable.
I'm also quite sure a power strip controlling everything in the room isn't ideal as well.
One day I go get ice from the vending area and it smells like urine and must, the next day I went to get ice and there was all sorts of caution tape across the door like it was a murder scene.
The location is convenient but there is alot of sketchy activity going on.
There was a parking lot party going on a few rooms down from mine with loud music blaring from a car until all hours of the morning. Not too easy to get some sleep work all of that action going on.
I was definitely over charged for the 2 nights that I stayed at this place for sure. I definitely would not stay here every again, nor recommend this place or any other Red Roof Inn. 2 consecutive stays at 2 different Red Roof Inns and both sucked.

Ordered non smoking room.
The first room smelled strongly of smoke. Drove back to the registration and got another room but the wake up call at 4:00 AM was not transferred to my new room and never happened. Had a very early flight and needed to be there @ 5:00AM. The clock couldn’t be set for time and alarm. Hardly slept. The attendant was nice tho. But his directions to the airport were off. I had to turn around twice but got there on time. Altho very tired

Stayed 2 nights. 1st the room we received upon arrival was clean but ac did not work. They gave me another room on day 2 and the tv didn’t work but thankfully I have a lot of apps on my phone. Overall decent place with great price. Very close to the beach.

Room was smelly, old, and unclean
We had non smoking room but it still smelt bad like it was a previously smoking room. Sheets did not seem washed. There were crumbs in both beds like fine sand particles. Yuck!! Floors were dirty and could have been swept better. Very old and dirty looking phone. Also old fixtures. Lights barely worked in room. Good thing it was a busy trip so we were only in there to Sleep and shower. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
