My stay was wonderful. The staff was friendly and approachable. Very close to the beach. Lots of shopping close by. My only issue is the parking. It is quite expensive. Other than that, everything else is great.

Beautiful and clean location and great surroundings. TV channels are streaming and at times connection is not good.
Entrance to the hotel is confusing and during check in staff should have shared with us that there are fireworks at our hotel and should share more about relevant info we should know.

What I like about Hilton Grand vacation the Gran Islander was the very helpful and accomodating staff Shizuko. She patiently waited while I was trying to resolve my business card issue. The place is very accesible to everything. The daily activities which I did look forward everyday we were there.

We stayed here during Thanksgiving week. When we arrived we were told about all the fees and towel cards and parking.
1. Park across the street at the car park.
2. We went out and purchased shampoo and conditioner, laundry detergent and dishwashing liquid. On the last night we needed to wash a quick load and asked the front desk if they had any for purchase. The employee states, “Oh no, you are supplied these daily, we are sorry we did not.” While we were out on the last day the maintenance folks had installed bathroom shampoo, conditioner and body wash holders and left a full bottle of conditioner. I spoke with the manager about the lack of this service and she was very rude and told me they were not a hotel and they did not supply.edits what I stated. It was not a pleasant experience with the management team.

Go to maui or the big island
I go to hawaii for peace and quiet and beauty. The hotel was fantastic but Honolulu reminds me of las vegas and venice beach. Not what i had in mind. Super glad to have left and gone to maui

I like the best are the staff. The day we arrived we were greeted by the parking attendant. The check-in process was very smooth, amenities were explained, we were provided with the required access cards and best of all we were assigned high floor corner suite overlooking the ocean and diamond crater. We saved on parking by almost half the price we are going to pay at the hotel by buying a monthly pass at the nearby parking garage as suggested by the hotel staff. To use the elevator you need to key in your specific floor number so we felt much safer. Overall we are satisfied with our stay.

Our family had a great stay at The Grand Islander
The room was the perfect size with plenty of room. Access to the beach was a short walk through the complex, we liked that everything was an easy walking distance.
If you didn't want to walk, the Village has everything you need.
My only complaint or suggestion...why not queen size beds instead of doubles? A couple can not comfortably sleep on a double, and we are not large people.

I was booked in a resort view and but given us the parking area view.And I asked the staff that we area we had group booking if they can transfer as in the same flrshe said was fully booked but when I check in the website there it’s not fully booked

From the moment we walked through the doors, the staff was very friendly and polite. From the bell boys, to the front desk, to the pool and restaurant staff, to housekeeping, everyone we encountered was great. Our room was super spacious and if we ran out of anything we called downstairs and they brought it back up. You really feel like you were in a village with all the things to do and see! Lots of photo ops, pools, gym, Starbucks, and entertainment by main check in desk. We saw the 5 min Friday night fireworks too. Great service !

Parking price is supper high ($65/day) plus walk to far to the hotel parking. Pool temperature is too cold for everyone Towel desk said you need to heat up your body. oh my god ! stay away at no cost

Grand Islander experience
This property is the best at the Hilton Hawaiian village because it’s the newest and there’s a private pool on the 3rd floor that is barely used. It is a big difference when you check out the other pools on the property. The room and everything in this timeshare condo type apartment was top of the line and newer. It made the stay comfortable and luxurious.

Wonderful stay!
This place is in a great location. No need for a car really unless you are exploring the other parts of Oahu. Ubers very reasonable around here. Room was perfect for our family of 4. Only bad part was our first room was on the 5th floor and from our balcony and all windows looked directly at a huge air conditioning duct. Like that is all you could see. I wanted to cry, went down to the desk, and they said it was a "resort view". I showed them a picture of it. She was a little shocked at what we had as a view too. Moved us up to the 29th floor the next day! Great service! Room had everything you could need! Parking is steep! Downstairs pools were overcrowded, but had some good pools on the 3rd, and 4th floor. One was adults only, loved that! I would say that it was a perfect stay with great customer service! Kids are 18 and 21 and had a blast. I recommend taking a ride on the Mai Tai catamaran! Look at Groupon for deals on the island. Don't waste money on turtle tours, they were at all the beaches, INCLUDING the water right in front of the hotel. That was a surprise! Saw 3-4 of them while snorkleing.

Very clean but they nickel and dime you
The hotel room itself was beautiful and clean and the staff were so helpful and friendly. I would not stay at this property again though because they nickel and dime you for everything. Beach chairs for example were $85 for two. If you want to sit in a chair at the beach or lagoon this is your only option. Also, the entire Hilton resort is huge and takes awhile to get from one place to another. For these reasons I would not stay here again.

Very new facility (opened in 2017) & it shows. Large, clean rooms. Laundry/dryer inside room - a big plus. Every staff member encountered was friendly. Easy checkout.
Parking costs $$$, but fine if you know the cost in advance.

This is our 3rd time here and we were so disappointed in the poor condition of our room. The room we stayed in had so many non-working issues (i.e. TV, toilet, ceiling fans, power outlets, clogged drains, etc.).

Room was beautiful and very comfortable. Parking fee was ridiculous and not listed when I made the reservation so it was a surprise to pay $62/night in addition to the resort fee. And the one parking garage for all the Hilton towers was not connected to our particular tower so for the high fee we still had to walk through the village to get to and from. Elevators were frustrating as the digital touch screen did not always work so we had to re-enter our floor number multiple times before it worked almost every time we used it. TV’s in room used a mouse system on the remote for apps and was very difficult to use at times. Other than the elevator, tvs and parking fee, our stay was great. Good pools and everything you need was available in the village. Lots of shops, restaurants, and live entertainment at night, and lots of pools to choose from. Would stay here again.

Our suite was on the 32nd floor with two balconies. The suite was really nice with upgraded appliances and the staff did a great job daily. The private pool at the grand islander was nice, and the facilities were great. The suite was lacking some expected items like dish cloths and towels, there was no recycling, and the pull out couch bed was horrible (the main king bed was nice). I liked the countertop chargers and waterfall shower.
Expect to pay a lot of extra for valet parking ($72 US a day and they don’t even go to your hotel, you have to go to the main lobby a block away). Also there’s a daily resort fee too of $40. Two chairs and an umbrella at the beach will run you $90US a day.
The hotel itself is beautiful. The pools are all nice, the beach is nice, the food and options and shopping is great.
Make sure to catch the fireworks on the beach or from your balcony on Friday nights.

We have stayed on your property twice within the last 1 1/2 years. Our first stay was during October, 2021. Crowds were down due to COVID restrictions on travel. Moving thru the property was easy, swift and convenient. On our last stay, many more quests on property. Wait times at the elevators could be brutal. It appeared that not all the elevators were operating many times, increasing long wait times.

Decent hotel but could have been more accomodating
Check in was not available until 4pm. We were at the hotel by 11am so this was a major inconvenience for us. We felt like an entire day was wasted. The staff did not inform us of the lounge on the 3rd floor that we could have waited in and let the kids swim while we wait. We also had to park offsite because the hotel parking was ridiculously expensive. The hotel was clean and the kitchen was nice and had everything we needed to cook. I wish the hotel staff was a little more accomodating. The hot tub was also not available during most of our stay which was a bummer as well.

Did not like the $40 a day plus tax = $47.18 per day additional resort charge.
It ws only mentioned after booking and payment at $30 per day and in small print.
This is dirty, underhand and offered no value. Nothing on offer was of value, i.e. a few yoga classes at 6.30 am !! no use what so ever. 1 ukelel lesson a week and at an inconvenent time, useless!

Grand Islander: Grand Experience
It would be helpful to know the Hilton Hawaiian Village is truly a village with the 5 or 6 hotels on outside and restaurants/ cafe/bar/pools are contained between them. If you crave variety in food choices, yu might head to Waikiki. That was a drawback fo us. Our Grand Islander suite was clean, comfortable and had a well-equipped kitchen. Mountain views were spectacular and we had 2 balconies to choose from so breeze wasn't a problem.

The hotel property was huge. Checkin was easy. The room was clean enough, but close to needing a refresh. The beds were very comfortable!
Lots of shops and restaurants around the facility. Lagoon is perfect to experience the ocean without the waves. I’d say this is a great place for families, maybe not the best for an individual couple.

Definitely, one of our favorite trips largely due to the hotel. We had a 2 bedroom suite for our family of 5. There was so much room, loved that there was a kitchen and laundry - washer and dryer! Bonus points for the bidet. Housekeeping came everyday to our room and the whole hotel in general was very clean. What would have made this trip a 10/10 is having valet at the actual hotel. We had to walk about 5 minutes to another part of the resort just to do valet. Just a bit difficult to do with little children in tow and carrying groceries. Valet was $70, compared to $60 self park.

Wish the check in process was more fast and accommodating. The line was not long but there was only one staff working at front desk, so had to wait in line for more than an hour and a half. Grand Islander was convenient and room condition was good. The building is little far from the beach. Would recommend this hotel!

I loved everything about the trip. The rooms at the Islander and service you receive was exceptional. My only complaint was that I felt the umbrella/chair rental was priced extremely high, almost borderline price gouging. Other than that, we spent 10 nights here and would do it again in a heartbeat.

The grounds alone were worth the stay.
This was an amazing trip with all the bells and whistles. We got upgraded to the penthouse (incredible) we had ocean view before upgrade and they honored that view with the upgrade! They give you free bottled water which is a great reminder to stay hydrated. You cannot beat the view and the grounds were pristine which is impressive when you consider the amount of foot traffic this place sees in a day. The pools are beautiful but prepare to find difficulty getting a spot at the pool (it fills up quickly). Our kiddos were absolutely thrilled with all the amenities! Comfortable bedding which is very important to me. The Aloha spirit is everywhere. REMEMBER to treat everyone with kindness especially those taking care of you during our stay. We saw some nastiness because of guests being either tired or grouchy either way it was totally not warranted and directed at people who are taking care of you in such a welcoming manner.

The hotel was very nice, as well as the amenities. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Everyone always smiled and had a positive attitude. The only downside was the parking. I think $55/day is a bit excessive. Other than that minor issue, I would definitely book this location again.

Overall, great location and lots to do. However, the pool hours and in particular the towel service hours were too restrictive. The pools best for kids closed early and towels were hard to get after checking in the first day. Maintenance on one pool meant it was unavailable to us for a few days. It happened to be the pool with the water slides that the kids were looking forward to the most.
