The person who received us was not very friendly. The room we rented was a non-smoker but it smelled like a cigarette. The beds were hard. It looked like you slept on the floor. He said that it included breakfast and there was only coffee. I wouldn't stay again or recommend it to anyone.

The exhaust fan in the bathroom sounded like a box of loose nuts and bolts being rattled when turned on, the bathroom sink handle was incorrectly installed, and cold water to brush your teeth was an arctic expedition, yet alone turning it off/on, no constant water temperature could be maintained in the tub/shower, when showering, and toilet was crooked, askewed toward the bathroom door

Worst Chester stay
The first room smelled like feet, the air was not on. It’s was 97 degrees so the air would have been nice. I was moved to a second room it was warmer and never really cooled down.
No tissues, the toilet seat almost fell off and the lid to the tank was not sit that toilet.

The worst choice hotel I have stayed in
Was not told about extra fees and had to pay almost 60 more in fees after arriving plus the extra bathroom was not clean and the air conditioning was nasty dirty. No wash cloths and when I tried to leave the manager said no refunds

I was told at the sign in that there was no breakfast. when we booked site said breakfast included woman answered me rudely that their website was never updated. blamed covid that they haven't offered breakfast in years i'd like to be refunded the $40.00 we spent for breakfast. Bathroom was not clean.

I booked this hotel mainly because I was familiar with their name and they had a continental breakfast. When I got there, there's a sign saying no longer having breakfast. I booked this on hotels.com and expected it to be current information. When I walked into the room, it was like I was back in the 1960s. The room was stuffy and hot and just really looked like it was the same as it had been in the 1960s.

We had to get a refund. The smell was horrendous in the first room. dirty. they tried to give us another room and the bleach smell made your eyes burn, even had a wasp nest. RUN!!!!

The hotel is located in a nice area that is convenient to everything. The one thing that I didn’t like was that the room smelled like it was a smoking room.

Customer service wasnt the best.
Hotel was clean, easily accessible, around lots of places to eat, and shop. My only issue was the woman who checked us in seemed to be more pre occupied with her phone than checking us in and was a bit rude afterwards when i thanked her for the check in. She was dismissive and waved her hand away from us and went back to her phone.

Avoid this hotel
The rooms and the equipments like the AC, bath tub etc. are in dilapidated condition. The first room that was given to us had mold on the walls with a non functional AC. The owner explained that it was because the building was very old.
No Breakfast is provided in this hotel. There is also there is no room service for at least a week, if one plans to stay for a longer visit as per the notice put up by the owner at the reception.
Also I felt that the hotel did not have enough parking spots.

I reserved this room without knowing the area, if it was refundable i would of canx it. For a 100 dollar room i shouldnt have a shower leak that that has the bathroom floor wet, also the website said breakfast included which there is none. A real dissapointment. Reserve a room somewhere else and save yourself some grief. The clerk was very friendly but the room was the disappointment.

Nothing about the motel. There is false advertising about this facility. There was no light breakfast as advertised. The smoke detector needed servicing so they just removed it to stop the chirping. No really hot water and the water was rusty. Facet needs fixing as the supposed hot water was to the right and never got hot. Could not take a hot shower. One light did not work and the desk lamp was very rusty at the base. You get what you pay for but they should have refunded my money.

Bathroom in very poor condition. Fan rusty and partially falling out of ceiling. Water damage and holes in wall near tub. Tub in poor condition, loud creaking when standing in it. Pet fee additional in person at time of check in. Even though room was a non smoking room it was apparent that was not always the case in the past.

The property was so poorly maintained that even the lock on the door did not work. Area was very noisy all night. Room had broken mirror, peeling paint, and poorly draining plumbing.

The Travelocity web site stated that breakfast was included. It was not. I hold both Travelocity and Day's Inn responsible for this not being removed from the web site. When we went out and bought donuts after learning there was no breakfast, we found that the microwave in our room did not work to heat them. There was also no coffee pot in the room, although there was coffee in the lobby in the a.m. only.

That the bed was comfortable was the only good thing about this stay. Door key card was temperamental.
It took several attempts to access the room each time. No breakfast as advertised. No explanation of why either. Room/bathroom was only partially cleaned and in poor repair. Fixtures were rusty. One lamp had nowhere to plug in. Tv reception was fuzzy. Noise and distinct talk from neighbouring rooms. No facial tissues.
We have stayed at Days Inn hotels many times in both Canada and the US. They are usually really good. This one was terrible (Chester, Virginia on I95). We certainly won't stay here again and we will tell our "snowbird" friends to avoid this one.

As soon as I arrived I was approached by Tiffany the front desk employee. She said to me if I really wanted to stay there I replied yes Why!? Because I had made a very bad review from my last day. She made me feel so uncomfortable I couldn’t wait til the morning to check out. I don’t understand why the manager never reached out to me instead tells the front desk employee. So I have this to say. This hotel is horrible. All the rooms smell because the housekeepers do not know how to clean. I will never visit this hotel ever again. They need to do some serious cleaning up. And to Tiffany, that’s not the way to treat a guest. It’s not your job to approach guests. I will be reporting this hotel to the health department!!

Not good, not bad! Just ok!
Ever been to a hotel and it was just okay?! This is how it was. Check in was easy and quick. The room was fine. Smelled like smoke despite being non smoking. We got there at 1am so I wasn’t going back to request a room change. Beds were comfortable. Shower temp was fine. The ac wasn’t on prior to us arriving so the room was pretty warm to start. Once the ac got going the room cooled down quickly. Outside noise was fairly loud but only because of a group of teenagers a few rooms down from us. I would stay again if it was just for a quick night like this one.

If you have other options...
Don't stay here if you have other options. The room was tolerable enough coz we were so tired from driving, but we made sure not to touch any surfaces we didn't need too (phone, safe, TV remote, cabinet handles, etc. - they look filthy). The bathroom door couldn't open all the way, it made a loud creaking noise. We closed the shower curtains since we didn't want to see the tub (dirty-looking and old). One of the light bulbs were flickering and there was no tissue box. The smells of weed wafted through the A/C vents early in the morning.

Certainly a no-frills resort
Certainly a no-frills resort and even the coffee is terrible. They used to have a continental breakfast and they don’t have that anymore and their breakfast area is without tables and chairs and they offer nothing. It needs to come off of the wording on the listing.

They need to do better
The room was absolutely disgustingly dirty! Bathroom had tissue on the floor, sink and toilet looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in months, the bedroom floor had black dirt on it that looked like bugs, I didn’t get close enough to find out if it was bugs or not, I left the room as fast as I could.

Worst Hotel Stay I've Ever Had
Would never come back here again. First, a surprise $25 fee for having a dog was assessed. That fee was never disclosed on the hotels.com booking and the front desk person didn't want to hear about it. He almost seemed hostile/resentful that my booking had been made through a 3rd party. When we arrived at our room, it was literally 95 degF in the room, as if the heat had been left running, and it took about 3 hours for the AC to cool the room. The faucet in the vanity sink was hanging on by a thread. The handle was SO loose and was extremely difficult to find a position where the water would actually shut off. We found spaghetti dried up on the armrest of the deskchair, and also found LARGE chunks of cured meat (beef jerky?) on two different spots on the floor. Obviously the room had NOT been vacuumed or cleaned. Finally, one of the few lights in the room, a floor lamp, did not even have a light bulb in it. One of the lamps on the night tables was completely unplugged and required me moving the whole king bed away from the wall in order to plug it in. The toilet seat was installed in such a way that you had to hold it open with one hand while peeing or else it would fall back down. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend this quality establishment for your hospitality needs.

The room was filthy. There were insects in the room (possibly a roach).
Also, the room was supposed to be wheelchair accessible. While turnaround space and wider doorways made the space more accessible, and the shower had a hand held shower and grab bars, the tub was a standard tub which is not barrier free.

Served its purpose but not enjoyable.
I picked this hotel due to location and "free breakfast". Free breakfast was not offered due to COVID, but the front desk told me that it was to difficult to update the website. I work in IT. It's not that hard. The Front desk showed little empathy or care.
The room was smelly and the AC was loud. It was an overall disappointing stay and made me wish that I chose differently. I could not wait to leave the following morning.

Room was dirty. Dead bugs and food on floors. Continental breakfast was just coffee. Reserved a double bed got a full size bed. Overall room was unclean and during a pandemic you would think the bar would be raised a bit. Remote, tables were sticky, curtains didn't fully close and tv was static.

The property is rundown and not maintained. The parking lot was noisy and our door lock didn't work correctly which made us feel a little unsafe. The non smoking room smelled like pot when we entered.
The bed however was clean and made nicely. The parking lot lights were SO bright that both of us woke up in the middle of the night and thought it was morning.
The fridge was not defrosted and the bathroom was so dirty, I didn't want to shower in it.
Everything was in need of maintenance; no kleenex in rusty holder for instance, rusty hangers, paint peeling off the wall in many locations, and mildew around the bathtub.
Not a huge deal, but Expedia advertised this as a property with a breakfast but definitely not so!
It served as a place to get some sleep and the heat was comfortable but that's about it.

The hotel is in need of a renovation. The ac in the room has seen better days, it’s constant on and off of blasting air makes it hard to get a good nights rest. The room didn’t have soap nor large bath towels. The only reason for our stay was to rest while passing through on our road trip and between the noise from the ac and the noise outside, it was impossible.

Room was run down. Sink was stopped up. Gnats flying around in room. Tub discolored. Mold on carpet where refrigerator door opens like it had been leaking. I was uncomfortable and ready to go. Will never stay there again.

The location was fine and the housekeeping staff was very kind, friendly and helpful. However, the gentleman at the front desk was less than friendly. The exterior property was not kept in good condition. The room was cleaned properly but there is a lot of trash tucked in a corner outside as you are going up the stairs. There are very few outlets in the room and one outlet in our room was coming off the wall. The sink was clogged and the faucet in the tub was cracked and leaking. It appeared to have been leaking for quite some time as there was rust on the lever in the tub to stop it up which doesn't work anyway. The non-smoking room smelled of smoke. Also, the air conditioner is very noisy.

I was originally going to camp in a tent…I should have. The tent would have been cleaner! The carpet wasn’t vacuumed…crumbs everywhere. The linens were washed, but smelled moldy. The door deadbolt was broken. The bathroom had a “sticky” feel to all surfaces. The worst part…I walked around barefoot as I unpacked…when I got in the shower, I left black footprints in the tub. I have very low standards…and this place didn’t even make those standards. Probably the 2nd worst place I’ve ever stayed

Perhaps it should be clear that renovations are only taking place on the outside. Room was in a deplorable state and needs major work and basic updating. The ac unit was very noisy which led to no sleep. Having arrived around 10pm after 12 hours of driving, getting settled in the room late, the ac was off so it did not make sense asking for a new room after learning the Ac was very noisy after getting ready to get a few hours of rest.

I am very familiar with the area and the age of the property. With that said I was surprisingly pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of my room. I typically do not stay and hotels that are open to the outside due to safety reasons however that was not a problem here. The staff was nice and the room was clean. There was some mold along the walls in the bathroom and the lights kept flickering but other than that there were no issues.

Covid has taken its toll everywhere and this place is no exception. Comfortable bed, dodgy plumbing. Noisy air conditioning did a great job of drowning out the noisy neighbors.

The room was basic… a place to sleep. It said that breakfast was offered… that was a lie… the only thing that was offered was coffee…absolutely nothing for children, not even water. They said it was due to covid. I still believe that they could have offered individually packed items such as muffins, juice, granola bars, fruit. Other hotels in the area offered this service along with choice of tea, coffee, water, and juice. Like I said “a place to sleep” basic.

Will never stay at this hotel again. The room was the nastiest room I ever seen. The toilet in the bathroom had brown stuff on it, I don’t know if it was blood or doo doo stain. The handle on the sink was loose. The chair had stains all over it. After the first night we didn’t go back for the second night we went home and just let the hotel keep the money for that night.
