This hotel is a great option to experience the city while avoiding exorbitant downtown hotel prices. It is virtually adjacent to the Alewife Red Line Terminus located in a safe, clean and quiet neighborhood. A half hour gets you downtown for $2.40 where you can access several sports, entertainment and shopping venues. I hesitate to give this hotel such a good review in the event I want to return to discover it is fully booked! It is new, clean and quiet with good coffee and windows that open.

The initial time I lodged at this establishment, I encountered a situation where there was no hot water available, resulting in an uncomfortable cold shower. Following my two-day stay, I contacted the hotel and conversed with a manager, expressing my concerns as I planned to return for another business trip. My primary objective was to ensure the availability of hot water for the shower and to address the issue of being charged a substantial amount. The manager assured me that he would investigate the matter and provide a follow-up, but regrettably, he never followed through on his promise. While the hotel itself is pleasant, the staff's lack of assistance and professionalism contradicts the positive image they project, the food is substandard, and the overall experience is empty. They need new management that actually cares. Consequently, I do not recommend choosing this establishment for your stay.

Hotel was regular. Rooms were not done every day. and the sofa was intended for sleeping but it was not confortable at all.
The surroundings are really nice, a national reserve by a river, but far from shops and station.

The mattress in room 428 is broken. There is a crater on the left side. Very uncomfortable sleep, which is a basic service for a hotel to provide. The sticky floor was cleaned up on our request after a reasonable amount of time.

I Was very disappointed by staff, by condition of the property and access to transportation and location of this hotel, Even AFTR I requested to have my room cleaned, I came back at 9 pm see no one had even entered my room, Not even a clean towel.

Great escape from the hustle
enjoyed our stay & location at AC. Convenient to bus/train station. Park across street was awesome escape from the hustle. King bed is more equivalent to queen size (european design). TV was intermittant working. Called for service which was prompt but unable to correct rather it was a wifi issue with provider. Would prefer microwave in room rather than found at the hydration station. Difficult location for uber/lift drivers to locate.

Beautiful hotel and accommodations with friendly and hardworking staff. Adding the breakfast after check-in is cheaper and well worth it. Finding an Uber into Boston is difficult during busy times because they don’t want to sit in traffic, so schedule it ahead or have the front desk schedule you a taxi in advance. The train is just a short walk, also.

Best dog-friendly hotel there is!
The best dog-friendly hotel we ever stayed in! We have a large dog (80 lbs) and she felt at home the instant we got there. (And our dog is usually very nervous about new places.)
Access to Alewife Preserve is amazing! We stepped out the back door, and had a thousand-acre playground for our dog! Just lovely!
Everything else about the stay was fantastic as well!

Very clean and quiet rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful but no room cleaning services for our 3-day stay. Also, mattress was extremely uncomfortable with a wide dip in the middle.

Clean and modern hotel with good breakfast, but not convenient for our group due to how isolated it is. Despite being in Cambridge, it was a ten min walk to nearest T station through a park studded with emergency phones, then a 25 min ride to Cambridge universities or a 70-80 min ride to downtown Boston. We had to switch to rideshare because the commute time was too long. There are also no cafes/restaurants close to hotel, as it is located in what looks to be a new business park. Ideal if you prefer to be isolated in a nice, modern hotel, or are working nearby, but this was not our goal for this vacation. Wish we had stayed closer to Boston.

Staff at this property is absolutely the rudest. We were there for three days, not one member of the staff said Good morning, good day or even Hello. Not even at check-in or check out. Every interaction was "Next" and "Done". Not one Thank you, not one Welcome to our hotel. They all seemed mad and upset that they were working. Not one smiling face in the staff. They all just glared at the guests. It wasn't just us, they glared and were rude to every guest. I didn't bother complaining to the hotel. If every single member of staff is rude then you have a management problem.

From this hotel, the Alewife Station (bus and train) is an easy walk through a park. We took the train to Harvard and a second time all the way into Boston. This was very convenient and inexpensive. I would recommend this hotel for that reason. It also is clean and quiet.

Room was quiet although we had reserved a different room type. There was an unfortunate amount of miscommunication about the cost of parking and the breakfast both of which we thought were included but ultimately we end having to pay for. The front desk staff wasn’t as knowledgeable as they put on.

I like the location and hotel overall and most of the staff were friendly except the woman at the front desk, not impressed with her. She wasn't helpful. Also, the linens and bedding were ripped.. Really not a nice look.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone visit Boston. This location is very close to red line train station just about 5-8 minutes walk in a nice natural reserve area. The hotel is nicely designed With efficiency in mind. People are nice and helpful. Only complaint is the heavy glass bathroom door which makes noises.

The room was very clean, neat, housekeeping was very attentive with supplying us with extra towels, and blanket for the sofa bed.
Unfortunately, the sofa bed was the one thing I did not like, as it was very lumpy.

The rooms are clean, spacious, and quiet. It's convenient to get to right off the highway, and easy enough to out from. Alewife station is right down the path. In the lobby there is a screen with times for any of the transportation.

If you need to stay in North Cambridge, this is a very nice and relatively affordable hotel. Very clean, well furnished, beautiful lobby, very nice rooms with comfy beds and great staff. There is a self-park garage for $25 a night just next door. The hotel is directly beside a very busy parkway drive, but there’s a nice little park and pond behind it. I will stay there again when I’m in town.

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, but the cleaning lady was horrible. My check-out day was Feb 6th before 12 pm, and the cleaning lady knocked my door once at 11 am, even I didn't reply immediately, she just open my door and asked me when will I leave. Before this time, she already opened my door at around 10 am. After that, I just went downstairs to buy some snacks, when I went back to my room, I saw the other cleaning lady opened my door again, it was the third time opened my door before I check out, and it was not yet 12 pm. It was unsafely and it didn't protect my privacy. And it would be my worst hotel experience ever.

Quiet and relaxing

The hotel was frankly the most antiseptic, unwarm, IKEA showcase I've ever stayed. From the clerk checking us in with surgical gloves to sterile Orwellian lobby to the Ikea furniture in the room. So uninviting. My first negative review ever. That's how disappointing this property was.

The AC Hotel is in a convenient location, a 10 minute walk from the T/Red line (Alewife Station). This made it an excellent location for a visit to the area. Visits to Harvard Square restaurants were a 15 minute ride on the T. The property is extremely quiet, with mostly business travelers. Weekends were especially quiet. Since I am a light sleeper, this made the AC Hotel prefect for me.

We stayed at AC for a long weekend and it was a great stay. The people were friendly, the hotel was very clean, and the actual room was a great room. The downgrade from 5 stars was because we asked for a bath linens refresh with their card system and came back to hotel late that night to find a plastic bag tied to our door handle with the linens in it. They didn’t remove the old ones. We found out early the next morning that they also did not include washcloths in the bag. We also needed more body wash and let the front desk know. That was not changed and we ran out the next morning. All in all, it was a great stay but those two things make it not 5-star.

Excellent. Clean, great condition - like new, quality bed and bathroom, great walk-in shower. Despite being next to highway 2, good sleep. Noise doesn't get inside. Air-con device better than average, built-in and thus not noisy. Friendly staff. Parking garage right next to. Surroundings tidy as well. Location was great for me as I had business close by.
