Room I was in really out dated. Was a bit noisy during the night. Had no internet. Staff stated was working on getting that resolved. Staff was friendly… was clean. Just out dated. Other folks smoking at the stairs. I’m trying to carry my stuff up to the room.

This was the worse experience ever. We booked 5 rooms for 1 night before our cruise. There were roaches in the room, the bed sheets were dirty and had stains, the pillows were as flat as a cardboard, Towels had stains. We complaint about the light in the bathroom not working and management said they could not do anything about it. the "non-Smoking" room smelled like an ashtray. When we complaint to the management again in the morning he said that the rooms were what they were and he couldn't do anything about it. DO NOT recommend at all. You can do get a much better hotel for the same price and maybe even cheaper than these rooms were.

The hotel was filthy. There were roaches all over the place. The floor in our room was wet from the AC unit and smelled like mildew. There were people smoking weed on the property and from the looks of it people live there as well.

Do not stay here!!!
We were only there long enough to wash the sand off of us before we decided to stay elsewhere. There was a drug deal in the parking lot, shady people everyone, and we overall did not feel safe. The place was absolutely deplorable and would not recommend it to anyone

No WIFI (when I visited the issue with the owner he said that I could live without internet), no towels in the room and when I asked for fresh towels the owner told me to take it up with the maids, there were bugs everywhere, the bathroom smelled and there was black mold on the ceiling.
I'm surprised that expedia would carry this Hotel. In the future I'll look at travelocity or something else.

I don't recommend staying at this property. The morning person is extremely rude. She laughed in my face when i asked if i could possibly pre-checkin. No apology or apathy given.
The room I stayed in had mold literally growing on the carpet and wall under the sink area. Roaches came out of the walls in the bathroom as soon I got done taking a shower.
The bedding was atrocious! The property needs to be gutted and completely remodeled.
It was disappointing to wake up expecting to make a cup of coffee to realize the coffee maker looks like it hadn't been cleaned in years!
When coming back from a long surf event I expected to relax and be comfortable in the room I booked. It was a very disappointing stay.
I will add the only saving grace were the two nice front desk ladies in the afternoon and the Philly shop across the way.
I will never stay at another Americas Best Value Inn again and I'll definitely advise against it if asked.
The price I paid was more than what it was worth. $29/night value at best.

The place smelled bad, not clean, questionable crowd of people. The photos of this place are misleading. Refused to stay at this place. Did not feel safe. After they hassled me about not reimbursing me for my stay, I left anyway and had to buy a hotel room at another place.

I liked nothing about the property. Infested with roaches. Smells horrible. Police are called there daily was also informed by police they took a dead body from one of their rooms. There’s about a 17 yr old girl who seems to be patrolling area and informed me she was supposed to be watching two kids in a room where two ppl where getting licked on. She was also asking for tobacco products. Or if someone could take her to get them. The tub and sheets had hair all on them. No Wi-Fi even though says it’s included. No breakfast even though says it’s include. Paid for room in cash 177. They didn’t even require a deposit *red flag* most hotels do. They didn’t refund me the money. And overall please just do not book a room at this hotel they’re very very skeptical.

Absolutely DISGUSTING roaches dirty abandoned untagged vehicles in parking lot carpets filthy the person at the front desk was amazing the first room she gave me was out back with massive holes in floor the she switched me to a kinda better room. Separate issues I been with Expedia for years and never have I been exposed to such a terrible facility

This was the worst place I've ever stayed in! It was nasty! Towels was stained and dirty. Roaches crawling everywhere! And it had people living there and it looked like a drug dealer motel. We ask for our money back and they wouldn't give it back. We had no choice but to stay! It was horrible! It was noisy and we couldn't sleep. People partying all night long. This place needs to be off Expedia website! It's a dump!

Not clean and not helpful. I checked in but then checked out because the front desk lady said she couldn't help me. The room smelled so bad that it gave me and my husband a bad headache. The front desk lady called the owner in front of me, the owner said he will not refund me the money because the smell of the room is caused by the ocean. The front desk lady said that she wishes she could help and knows the room smells like smoke

Great front desk after 1:00pm check in then!!
The morning manager a bit rude.. not too friendly at times. Even heard others people staying n probably fir over a week there. And weekend people don't like to asked anything from him. He trys Just not in his nature. But Lisa was awesome. Way different attitude, great personality. Will come back cause of her friendliness, and politeness.

There were children running all over the parking area. It was dangerous. It was welfare housing. The lobby had children who were playing around in it. I had to find my own room by walking around the building. Room numbers were hard to see,

new check-in kiosk was very cool....staff very polite and friendly. However, was $100 deposit and they dont take cash at all...neither of which was mentioned in the property data on any site, and for which we were unprepared. The clerk was quite accommodating and gracious. Lots of upgrade changes to this property as well. Was very pleasant stay.

My fault, I chose by price. Looks like a lot of homeless types "living" at the hotel, like a place the government puts people up for some programs.
No issues with them, just not any place that I would visit again. Room had a smoked in, closed in smell. Carpet should be replaced
For the price, I got what I paid for, just telling you that if you want inexpensive, this is what you get.

Absolutely gross. Didn’t even end staying we had to spend extra money and get another room. Dirty room with cockroaches on wall and cigarette burns on comforter and it’s very loud with guest partying. Trust me spend extra and stay somewhere else. Waste of money

Rooms slide lock was broken any a bunch of people outsidde thier rooms were smoking. I asked for a different room but they refused. Also the room smelled like urine and or mold or something rotting. Plus smoke from marajuana being smoked outside. Also I watched someone look at the contents in my truck twice. I had to leave and stay somewhere else. Too bad this used to be a nice place to stay that was fairly inexpensive . If u value your life do not book this hotel. I asked the manager to call me but they never returned my message.

Rift raft central. This location was so bad I didn't stay the duration of my visit. I left at 1130p and drive 3+ hours before getting sleep because I refused to sleep in there a 2nd night.

We checked in late at night after a long drive looking for a place to rest. Once we got to the room it was hard to sleep with so much argueing going on around and the roachs in the room. Woke up to a breakfast served by a gallon jug of milk and cereal. More argueing took place along with people trying to fight cops was called was still not able to sleep in due to all the commotion celt really unsafe there

Lights didn’t work. Bathroom vent sounded as if it might explode and catch fire. No soap or shampoo. Looked as if the other residents were using the property for social housing. Did not feel safe.
Overall very disappointing, if not down right horrible.
Would never stay there again, or recommend anyone else to do so.

Horrible slum-like motel
If this place is all you can afford, save more money and get a room that isn’t so nasty. No phone, no Wi-Fi,no working TV, and very low water pressure. Upon walking up to the room, parts of the AC was lying on the ground. When you book a room you definitely expect have the basic amenities available, this was not the case. Management did seem interested in helping either. If it we’re possible to give a negative star…this motel would receive it. Traveler beware!!!

First of all , the man was rude all ready that tell me what the room will look like. the lobby was so nasty. Hotel.com lied about the pictures they shown of that place. The furniture look like they pick them up on the street without any selection. The bathroom was dirty. The towels were so rough and light brown I won't even wash my dog with. Guest what I end up put up with that mess for 2 night. Because I didn't want loose my money cause it's not refundable even for uncleanness I blame my bad experience on Hotel.com for misrepresenting this facility However, at night when all its light at on its look so beautifull outside don't let it fool you it's nasty inside

The gentleman that checked us in was wonderful. After that the visit went downhill. The room was dirty, floors weren't clean, our feet were black walking without shoes, the towels were stained, wrinkled and damp like someone had just used them, there was a nest of baby roaches crawling all over the floor which we noticed in the morning, the toilet didn't flush well The curtains were dry rotted so light came through.When I reported it to the person at the desk he acted like he didn't care. We were there for all of 8 hours and refused to stay another minute. We will never go back there. At almost $90.00 for the night it was not worth it.

We checked in, found our room, turned around, turned our keys in and left. I wouldn’t let my dog sleep in that filth. We asked for our money back as we only took one step in the door, they declined. This left us with no where to sleep 6 states away from home. Thankfully Comfort Inn & suites took us in and it was a gorgeous place, friendly staff, and super clean. We donated brand new cooler, boogie board, sun screen; basically everything we couldn’t take on the airplane to their staff. America Inn & suites is not some place I want to see again, I was sure a bug was going to jump on me when I walked two steps in the door, smelled like someone had died in the room, NASTY. Would not stay again .
Sadly this is not best at anything. The hotel is old and needs some TLC. I think I was the only person staying there that did not live there. On my way to breakfast there were at least 3 areas of heavy weed smell at 7am. I would not stay here again and do not recommend.

Absolute dump! We arrived and this property is an absolute disaster. It looks like people just park the cars there and leave them there to die. There are people living there. There was a little child running around the parking lot unsupervised with no shirt no shoes. I was like hey it’s one night no big deal. When I open my bedroom door there was more smoke inside than our neighbor that was smoking outside. This place is absolutely disgusting. There’s no other way of explaining it. We stayed there a total of eight minutes and left. This property has no business being on VRBO. It’s absolute trash. When I went to check out so they said sorry and when I bought her business. Do not I repeat do not stay there. Disgusting dirty and I wouldn’t even let my kids touch anything. Yes that bad !!!

I would not recommend this dump to anyone. Needs to be removed from your website. Carpet, furniture, bathroom filthy dirty. Homeless people living there with dogs barking all night. Police coming by all the time. Had to stay two out of four nights because they will not refund my money. Moved to a different hotel.None of the appliances worked. Pool closed. Key cards never worked. Manger was disrespectful. I am pretty upset that we couldn’t sleep for two nights.

Mainly booked for the price, got what I paid for I suppose. Dirty bathroom, moldy shower curtain, broken toilet seat, other peoples hair on the bathroom sink, crusty old carpet. “Non-smoking room” but it smelled like an ashtray so noticeably bad. The walls are thin so it seems noisy all the time, someone started thier car out front and our entire room smelled like exhaust for an afternoon. I could go on and on about how I would never, ever recommend this place to anyone. Need updates and TLC so bad.

Beware!!
Hotel is used by full time residents, very very dirty and run down. Photos on here are from 15 years ago, hotel is filled with drugs. I asked to cxl booking was told no refund by hotel and hotels.com! I was forced to stay, or walk away with no refund. Wifi only works in back right staircase, there is zero free breakfast as advertised, dogs barking all hours of night in rooms. The smell of mold in rooms, carpets are torn, holes, and filthy dirty. Two pillows provided like pancakes and hard. Bed, had stains! Stay Away! Don’t book this place!!!

Hoarders living on the property and using drugs/smoking at night, pictures taken of couple rooms on the 1st floor being full of trash up to the roof, also unsafe areas.
Our room appeared missing bulbs and electricity were not working, except by the sink area, walls had dirty spots and punches in it. There were much more issues and safety conserns but staff refused to listen, therefore corporate office contacted.
There is more then enough evidence to suspect all kinds of illigal activities being run on this property that is hurting the bussiness of the owner.

This was truly the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. Room was filthy and smelly. Hotel is advertised as having free wifi, but there is no functioning internet connection anywhere on the property. Staff is extremely unhelpful and disinterested. Problems can allegedly only be dealt with by the elusive „manager“ who conveniently is not at the property and apparently can’t be reached. Lots of trash on hotel premises. We left early.

One of the top 5 worst places we've ever stayed
Smelled of smoke, smoke detector hanging from wall with no battery, cockroaches, quilt on bed stained, security latch on door missing, very noisy till 3am and starting again at 6am, 1 small lamp in room so not bright enough to read. Left after 1 night even though we paid for 3.

Ok, but not the most pleasant
Hotel was sort of run down, rooms smell like smoke. The room was clean, outside looks rough with sketchy people walking around. We only slept there 1 night and left early in the morning for a soccer tournament.

Due to a death in my family my son and had to make a sudden trip from North Carolina to Florida. I planned 7 days and 6 nights. I’m a senior and don’t have a great deal of income so I was delighted to find America’s Best which had pretty good reviews. 2 rooms Oct 26-November 1. When we arrived it was obviously turned into housing with Halloween decorations hanging in windows, planters on porches and many families in the parking lot. Being naive I signed in and we went to look at the rooms. Very old conditions, smelly and stained sheets! We left to look for other accommodations but skipped telling the front desk in case we had no other options. We searched for other places for 3 hours and finally had to encroach on the family that had lost their family member. It was a very uncomfortable situation but couldn’t face staying in those rooms. When we went back the next morning they refused a refund saying it was not in there America’s Best policy. We finally got through to Expedia (in India) and returned a portion of the fee saying that the motel was keeping 1 night plus taxes per room a total of $345.00. This is franchise and the man at the desk could/should have returned our money due to the fact we never stayed there and we arrived from the airport after the cut off time. Very rude, filthy conditions, liars. Shame on them.

There were people living in these rooms, there were poeple conducting drug deals in the parking lot, i could hear them outside my door at night, and very easily through the walls as they are very thin. I was charged for some thing that was smeared in the floor when we got there. There were empty liquor bottles on the floor. This place is not safe or clean. There is no beach access. I would not recommend staying here ever.

Avoid this hotel at all cost
This the he worst place on earth to stay in. The room smells so terrible and roaches crawling all over the place. I have booked and paid for 2 nights and I was charged to 3 nights even if I ended up staying at a different hotel. Hotel.com you better select the hotels you list in your website because any bad experience affects your reputation as well.

Hotel had a lot of long-term residence. Overall hotel was deplorable. My two young children found a lump under the sheets of one of the beds, turned out to be an adult toy that was just covered up. Obviously the sheets are not changed.Was offered another room but no refund. Did not stay at the hotel. Hotel is independently owned and operated but is franchised by red lion. Red lion said they could not it would not do anything about it. Worst hotel I’ve ever seen and worst customer service ever

Need Health Department to Investigate
Room was absolutely filthy. Balls of hair on the baseboards, left over straw and lid found on floor upon entering. The walls!! Smeared with stains up and down the walls, dried something noted on picture frame. We did not take off our shoes the entire night, and even slept in our shoes because the floors were so filthy. No shampoo or conditioner in room. Bed sheets had hair on it from who ever was there previously. This place should be looked into by the Health Department. Our room was 221. Have someone look for themselves. Have been here before for the convenience of the location, however this was the absolute worst. We will never go back.

Before booking read the reviews. No WiFi or internet connection, place looks like drug central of the beachside and I had to switch rooms and the second was as bad if not worse than the one before. Management don’t care about nothing but the money. So don’t go to this establishment find another place. It needs to be knocked down and rebuild.

I saw good reviews online and then got there and by the end of our stay we were so ready to leave because of the people there. All I smelled was cigarettes and marijuana the whole time we stayed there. There were some sketchy people hanging around every time we went in and out of our room. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Horrible disgrace should be shut down immediately
We did not stay. The first room 110 door would not work with the key. The second room 206 was dirty as hell. Dog hair and fleas, dirty linen, moldy carpet and stinch so unreal.

Okay for price
Good for the price you pay, just make sure everything works right when you get there. Rented two rooms and one the AC didn't work and one of the beds broke as soon as sat on it. No problems with the other room.
