Old property. Air conditioner in suite's main room was not cooling. This was a problem in January, but it would be much bigger problem in summer months. Answer to everything when notifying front desk is that they can move you. We get the sense that this is not a NEW problem, but an existing one and repairs have been delayed/ignored. Ice machine not working in tower. Previous reviewers as far as 6 months back had same complaint. Are repairs being ignored? Other problems with room: lack of mirrors - only mirror was in bathroom; slow running bathroom sink drain; no toilet bolt caps; dirty floor; very LOW water pressure; no coffee maker in room yet had coffee cups and pods. Front desk person at check in was not welcoming or friendly. Overall very poor impression of Hadley House. Would not stay there again.

We couldn’t open our door when we first got there. We had to call the front desk to come out and change our keys. Everything was good. Nothing exceptional. Would have liked coffee available earlier like 7 am in the lobby. They told us to go to Starbucks. Also had to pay a resort fee when we stayed less than 12 hours. Never had time to use resort.

It was an average room compared to the stays we had in previous hotels, but had 2 queen beds that we wanted after a long journey. Staff was friendly and location was great.

We stayed 2 nights. Master bedroom bed was making squeaky noise, because of that we couldn't sleep all night. Complaint about it and they did nothing. Both night were horrible. NOT worth the price. I was told that nothing can be done.

I think you should change the lighting! No white light LED. Pillows were not great. Mattress pad would have been nice on the bed. Carpet rug in bedroom was turning up. Staff at front desk were very nice.

Terrible. Not what I expected of the Keys.
Awful hotel. The pool is in a parking lot and the outside looks very run down. I cant comment on the rooms because we did not stay here, we immediately booked another hotel on the island as there are MANY better options.

Beautiful resort!! You can rent a boat or jet skis on the dock there. They even give courtesy bike to take a bike ride. Absolutely going back!!!!!

Stayed in the pool villa and had to be switched from the first one for a strange odor. Second villa 502 floods the parking under it so can’t park there. Key stopped working twice and second time there was no one in office or answered calls for half hour to be let into room. Waited 3 days for shampoo that never came.

Decent room for the price
This hotel has an extremely friendly and caring office staff. The fact that the office doesn't open until 8 am, though, is a negative if you want to get the free continental breakfast early in the day. We had issues with bugs in the first room (pool king, with no view) so were moved to the tower, which had a beautiful view. We took advantage of the included bikes and kayaks. I would stay again because the price is decent for what you get.

It’s a nice place just well used. The couch is in need of replacement as well as the mattress covers. 1 set of dirty silverware is all that’s provided so bring your own. No paper towels or dish soap
BUT, it is a very nice place, great layout, amazing view, easy in and out and parking is right there with wide spots for trucks. Jet ski rental out back is very convenient, the property is a nice layout and pretty well kept. Rooms are just very used and ready to be refreshed.

Just fair for an August weekend trip. Although I knew this was not a Ritz Carlton, the pricing is on the higher side for what you get. Two nights, early check-in, pet fee, nothing else came to $740.00. I've been all over the world and stayed at everything from 1 star rough to 5 star spectacular. I'm not sure how this property can be close to $350/night. Yes, captive audience as there is only so much capacity in the Keys, but the pool is tiny, towels are thin, and toilet paper and tissues like cardboard. Also walls are paper-thin as family next to us was beyond noisy. Room was cleanish, though no housekeeping after first night. The staff was fine, but nothing special or out of the ordinary. I can't really recommend it at this cost.

We just stayed for one night as we were headed towards Key West. The rooms look nice, but unfortunately the room and beds were not clean. Airco was very loud. Breakfast was simple but ok, the breakfast area does not have tables so you need to eat outside. With a temperature of over 90 this is not relaxing. Staff was very friendly at the reception desk, but we were a bit surprised we had to pay an additional fee for the property. We booked the room incl breakfast via Expedia and all was already payed for.

Cleaning staff was not super friendly. We asked 3 times if we could have additional towels and soap and she said said yes when I get to it. We said, we are leaving for the day. She promised they would be left by the door. We returned and there was nothing. This was one worker. Everyone else was great.

No hotel staff on property.
The front office evidently closed at 9pm. Myself and 3 other reservations tried to check in at 9:40 and there was no ones on property to check us in. No one answered the hotel phones and was very aggravating. An employee eventually showed up around 11pm and we finally got in our room around 11:30pm. It was unacceptable for a hotel not to have anyone on property to check guests In. I even gave them a courtesy call at 6pm to let them know I would be checking in around 9:30. I even found other guests looking for toilet paper without avail.

My group has always enjoyed the location and the space of the ocean view units. This is what keeps us coming back.
The pool is not maintained properly and it looks dirty.
Three years ago, the staff was fantastic but in the last two years the hospitality at the front desk hasn’t compared to that first year.

Absolutely loved this hotel and would definitely go back! Room was clean and balcony view was amazing. Parking was so close to elevator and the room wasn’t ice cold; it was a good temperature. If I could make 2 things to adjust I would say - the Keurig in the room only had tea & decaf, I need regular coffee as well! 2. The elevator needs a new floor- that would make a big difference and 3- I was unaware there was complimentary breakfast at chieck in area, but that could have possibly been my fault. Otherwise staff was great- highly recommend!

This place was perfect for us. Family of 5 traveling with our pet. We booked the 2 bedroom ocean view suite. Right outside our door we could book snorkeling, jet skiis, boat rides, etc. Breakfast is nothing fancy (cold breakfast not hot) at all but it’s included. The walk to the lobby is far from the ocean view suites. Pool is right across building. Overall we will definitely be staying here again. Friendly and helpful staff too.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite. It was spacious, comfortable, and the view of the ocean was beautiful and relaxing. My husband and I woke up to catch the sunrise and it was so worth it. It is conveniently located near many restaurants and shops. We will definitely come back to stay.

we had a reservation for 2 days but when we got there the option 5 people means on a sofa couch.
the fabric of the sofa was very dirty and when you open it was worst. We could't found the linens in order to use it.
and around 11 pm my daughter was washing movies in her computer on the principal bedroon and the cockroach start getting out under the bed. we couldn't sleep all night and as soon they open the reception we did a check out. their attitude when they ask me about the early check out their attitude change immediately.I put a dispute with Expedia for my refund .
the pictures look very nice but the realities different.

Nice and clean rooms , friendly and helpful staff . The rest is very basic , very small pool , no beach acces and nowhere to sit next to the water . It’s nice to sleep and get going with your day .

Bait and Switch! There go to hotels at this address… One that is apparently quite nice and 3 1/2 stars and the other which is disgusting and 2 stars… The most disappointing is the fact that they don’t clean the hotel beyond making the beds and maybe cleaning the main entry… i’ve never stayed anywhere so gross! The managers were notified and did not respond

Nice view of the ocean, but no beachfront and only a few chairs. The property itself was nice and secluded, but should have read other reviews before booking...Room was spacious and nicely set out, but everything was older and stained - the couch, the chairs, the sheets. We are very aware of the creatures in the Keys and fully expect to maybe find a bug here or there, but never a giant roach in the bed in the middle of the night. Nope.

They should not promote an oceanview with a picture off the balcony overwater. I booked an Ocean-view room. But My room is facing south, not west.. my room is facing trees on the edge of a parking lot. I paid far too much money per night to not be taken care of and switched a real oceanview. Nice staff but this was unfair to say the least. I may dispute the charge. Total bait and switch move.

We were offered an upgrade. That turned out to be over looking a nasty beach covered with rotting seaweed. The smell was terrible and made the balcony unusable. Smelled like rotten eggs and sulfur . Even though we arrived at breakfast well before the end very little was left not even water when asked response was read the sign! On the last night our room had water coming in. Basically the floors flooded We called and got no response 45 min later we went to the desk. Not one person said sorry this is happening. Finally they came to look. Gave 2 towels for us to mop up. Our bags with books and clothes that got wet were left to us. We were told we would need to go to a laundry off property. We were leaving for the airport and had to pack all the wet items in our bag. Our room was never cleaned during the stay no towel replacement no coffee refills. For the price we paid this was all very disappointing

Decor and renovation work is great- everything could have been cleaned more thoroughly. The beachfront at Hadley House was disappointing- no enough places to sit near the ocean. The beach needed some tending (regrading and clearing of debris and seaweed). The small pool was fine, but also needed more cleaning in the pool area.Breakfast was limited and out of essential items (fruit, salt, cream cheese). Overall, we did love the character and relaxed nature, but would suggest they pay more attention to the details of maintenance.

Let’s start with the good—we paid (a lot) for ocean view and we had a spectacular view of the water. Our room was also big—we had plenty of space and the kitchen had nice amenities. The overall experience was another story. We stayed for 5 nights and housekeeping NEVER came to our room. We had to walk to the front desk every time we needed towels and even toilet paper. This also meant no one picked up our garbage and the tiny garbage can provided was overflowing within a day. We had to start using the exterior cans. When we tried to call they very often wouldn’t answer the phone. When we finally saw a staff member we asked about housekeeping we were told we weren't on the list (we then asked the front desk again to be added to the list but nothing changed). There was very little hot water from the shower. There wasn’t enough seating on the balcony for us (two chairs for a 2 bedroom suite with 4 guests). The pool is small and when we first tried to go there wasn’t enough seating (the second time we tried we had chairs)—the only real place to access the ocean is a boat ramp that was so weedy that it wouldn’t be safe to go in—people were launching kayaks over a very rocky sea wall that was precarious and not safe. The sofa was stained and there were no end tables in the living room. We had to again walk back to the office to ask for bedding for the pullout sofa. The bedroom didn’t have closet doors and the vents were dripping condensation throughout our stay.

On our first check in day, we were given a room with blocked view when we paid for ocean view. Desk staff immediately checked other rooms and we were switched next morning to a beautiful suite which was an upgrade. Staff was pleasant and helpful and our room was amazing. We loved our stay!

Absolutely lovely. Perfect location on Duval street, like a little piece of paradise on one of the busiest streets. The host was incredibly helpful and gave honest guidance on all the different activities you see, sunset sails, fishing charters, etc. and even booked one for us. She greeted us and gave us a tour of the property. Highly recommend this gem.

The room was okay. Beds were comfortable. If I recall, the floor was clean, but somewhat dusty. I kept trying to clean off my feet as I walked around. Everything worked. Our arrival got set back 9 hours due to mechanical problems with one of the planes. The net effect was that we didn't arrive until after 2:00 am. The good news is that I called to notify the front desk. The less than good news is that because they don't staff the front desk overnight, they literally left room keys for us under the front mat. And, in the haze of a 20-hour day getting there, I felt lucky to be lucid enough to figure out how to find the door to our room. (Probably a little low on lighting on the hotel's part.) Continental breakfast was uninspiring, no warm items at all. I guess it's customary here, but unusual in my experience. Also, the lobby shut down early--I think. We asked for, and were granted an additional 30 minutes before checking out in the morning. That was sublimely helpful. When we were on our way, about 40 minutes later, they had already locked up the lobby. I don't think I got the whole picture. So overall, this did what we needed it to do, gave us a safe, comfortable place to sleep. Staff accommodated us enough to get through. Not many amenities. I don't know whether I would stay there again, but only because I tend to like more amenities, more space in the room, etc.

Nice room, clean with a comfortable bed. A decent continental breakfast. We were a little disappointed in the location. We were expecting a beach area, but it was really a dock and more set up for boating and jet skiing, which we didn’t take advantage of. It was a good base to see the rest of the Florida Keys from however. We drove out to Key West and back to Key Largo, and found some nice beaches and water areas in those places.

When we arrived Brandon at the desk upgraded our room to help accommodate my recent knee surgery (accessible without stairs) which was SO kind - thanks, Brandon!!
This is not a luxury resort, but has amazing views, a decent pool and kayaks/SUP boards for guest use. There are also boat and jet ski rentals on-site and the guys that manage that are really nice. We would definitely stay again!

We booked a stay in a two queen garden view suite for a last minute trip to the keys. The staff was wonderful - they were incredibly friendly and helpful upon check-in. I wasn't terribly impressed with the property overall but it certainly served the purpose we needed.

There was frass otherwise known as termite poop in the rooms we booked. My daughter found termites under her mattress. She was moved but we were only given a resort credit for one night- $28.
There’s supposed to be kayaks. One has a semi permanent out of order sign on it. There’s one cracked ping pong ball and the table’s net is very loose.
Great views but we spent a lot of time worrying about what pests we might be bringing home

Should not have to sign up for housekeeping. Should not have to ask for toilet paper. Was led to believe there was a beach and there was not. Staff was nice and friendly.
Had to sign out pool towels and if not brought back charged $75.00
Breakfast didn’t start till 8:00.
Overall I would not stay there again. Not worth the money spent on the resort since you needed to jump through hoops to use the ping pong, corn hole etc….

Lobby hours not as stated. Phones weren't answered past 5::30pm. I had to knock on the locked lobby door to ask for bedding for the pull out sofa then come back two more times within 2 hours to make sure I actually got it. One set of toiletries were given for 3 guests and when I asked for more towels and toiletries I never received them. Went to the lobby the next day to ask for the same and there were no clean towels. You pay a resort fee for 1 kayak and 3 bicycles for the whole property. The continental breakfast is sub par and hours for that are 8-10am..While it's really a beautiful property the hospitality is terrible. Very overpriced for the experience.

The staff on site was great. The breakfast was ok. There were only 2 bikes and 2 kayaks. The bikes were not available and one kayak was out of service so we rented the. Elsewhere. Convenien jet ski and boat rental with great guides.the beach was non existent. They have a sister property Fisher House which had bikes for free. The stay was fine, but would not go back. I'd try something else.
