Creepy and bed was hard
They OPEN MY DOOR!!!! To say check out at 11 AM, CREEPY!!! Uncomfortable bed super hard and the pilllows were hard and smalls

We did not stay due to bugs in room. We went back to front desk and expressed our displeasure and checked out. We did not stay.

Very poor quality hotel
Not so good, definitely not a 3.5 star hotel, could be 2 star hotel. Nice location. Dirty bathtub and electric lines. TV didn’t work. Scrabble painting. Never again.

Room did not have a shower curtain. Told manager but nothing was done and the room wasn’t even cleaned after we were out for over 8 hours. Manager did not have breakfast out at 9 am- no coffee. Didn’t expect luxury accommodations but this place has very poor management!

The room was very clean and the location was very convenient to Clemson University. I will definitely stay here again.

Not family friendly
I became ill and was unable to make fishing trip w son. He tried checking in late after long trip hoping for a nights rest and view his future campus next morning. They refused his entry even after i was awoken at 11p to plead for a room. Eventually they dismissed us and he secured a room at the Holiday Inn next door. Frustrating and unaccomodating.

Big miss
I requested a King sized bed. The only thing I was told that was available was queen size units. I’m nearly 6’5” and 250 lbs. I don’t sleep comfortably on anything smaller than a king. The air conditioner in my room was off when I arrived and it took until around 2am for it to begin to cool the room. The “grab and go breakfast” choices were very thin. One yogurt was left. A couple of muffins and an omelet wrapped in plastic isnt enough to get me going. The desk folks are nice enough but I need more value for my travel.

The bed rose up on the left side if I sat on the right side. That's pretty messed up. The complex had obviously been painted not too long ago, but the steps leading to the second floor looked ancient. The staff was friendly and the room was clean except for a towel left in the bathroom, on the hook on the back of the door. Finally, the window shade was extremely difficult to lower. I thought I was going to break it finally getting it down.

We appreciated the cost and campus proximity. The front desk women were extremely kind. However, as female travelers we were concerned. Several men lingered around our door, one looked like he was trying to break into a car, there’s glass and cigarette butts everywhere, and the aesthetic upgrades do not extend to the bathroom. Honestly, if you’re a construction worker or party person, this may be the place for you.

What we liked: newly remodeled, clean. Disliked: gap at the door was 1/4" . Noise!! Very acoustic walls, again: noise!! People coming in at 2am, noisy AF. Management must've been sleeping not to hear all this. Pillows and mattresses were uncomfortable and didn't help in getting through the night restfully. Dust on the bathroom floor, toilet tank, bathtub, hooks etc. Breakfast was basic as it gets. Coffee and tea.. without cofeine. I kid you not. Overall, our one night there was regretfully very rough and we'll avoid this place next time we'd be driving through Clemson.

A lot has gone into remodeling this hotel. We were very pleased with the renovations and updated technology. My biggest issue with this property was the smell of our room. The facility is now pet and smoke free but was obviously not so in the past. Our room still smelled like smoke which I am allergic to. The breakfast was minimal but fine. I wouldn't stay here again unless the smoke smell was taken care of.
