Consider booking a room elsewhere. Despite appearing more budget-friendly than neighboring options, my experience was marred by unforeseen expenses. After prepaying for a three-day stay through Expedia, I was surprised to discover an additional charge of $125 labeled as "parking and fees," and to make matters worse, I was not provided with a receipt.
The first night revealed a shower drainage issue, fortunately resolved promptly by sending someone with a bottle of drain cleaner and a rag. Uneven stairs with some looseness raised safety concerns. While exploring, I noticed potential structural damage to the building.
Adding to the discomfort, the presence of questionable individuals on the premises left us feeling unsafe. In light of these issues, I strongly advise against choosing this location for your stay.
On the first night, I encountered a drainage issue in the shower, which fortunately was addressed promptly after reporting it. The maintenance staff used a bottle of drain cleaner and a rag to fix the problem. Additionally, I noticed that the stairs were uneven, with some being loose. While exploring the premises, I observed what seemed like potential structural damage to the building.
This experience has left me concerned about the overall quality and transparency of the accommodations.

All of the staff was very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. House keeping excellent. I would recommend. Keep in mind any day can be an off day, wherever you are. Your experience might not be like mind, but I hope it will be.

No way it should be rated a 3 star, no place to eat within normal walking distance. Limited airport transfer, with no service between 9:35 AM and 6:35 PM. Shuttle is a third party service with this hotel being its 4th pickup each trip with no guarantee that there will be a seat available. Complaint to hotel staff was met with their claiming that Travelocity was not updating their website.

The microwave oven was broken and had to be replaced, the toilet broke and had to be fixed at 10:45 p.m. and the television offered very few Channel options and made a very loud noise from time to time which was startling.

Arrived very late and the check in person was very friendly. Room was ok, shower very confusing which led to me needing to sponge bathe. Toilet wouldn't flush at times. Can hear every noise outside. Disappointed

This property is extremely dirty. Hotel rooms were disgusting. Trains and traffic can be heard in the room. Homeless people all around and one was on property sleeping. I had Three rooms and we’re not able to get next to each other while walking by several rows of rooms. Tried to get hold of property manager to change facilities and was not available. Left messages for her to contact us and never did. I went through Expedia and was told property manager is the only one to make a decision and did not get back with us and that I would hear something within 72 hours. Will not do any business with comfort suites or Expedia ever again

Weekend Concert Get Away
It went well. The hotel was clean, answered all our questions, and a great hot breakfast. The only compliant I have is a little stain on the bed. Check-In and Check-Out was easy and the place is right off the freeway. Great place to crash when in San Fran, but it is out of the city. My friend didn’t mind driving whenever we left the hotel. Overall, great stay.

This hotel was fine for the price and close access to the airport. I appreciated the free transport to and from the airport. The room itself was clean and nice, but the hotel was a bit run down and dirty. What I did not like is the $100 they charged me and then refunded me when I checked out. I have had credit card hold before but not actual chargers. Oh and free breakfast was great. Overall it was fine, served its purpose of ease to airport so I recommend.

on approach to my room everything looked unkept and dirty. The room was right next to the parking lot and I felt unsafe. The clerk at the front desk was very nice and helpful to help me find a room where I felt more safe even thought the whole hotel was fully booked. I was very pleased with that.
The air conditioner in the room made a loud strange noise and I had to sleep with ear plugs and a pillow on my head.
I had to get up at 4 and got a wake up call at 3:45. That was a drag.
The whole hotel was dated. I didn't want to touch anything or take a shower or even walk barefoot on the carpet let alone touch the remote control.
They put a hold on my card for $100 even thought I pad prepaid the room which is fine and a week later it's still there, not under pending but posted.
Helpful staff but I'd think twice about staying there.

When I was checking my in after a long drive there was no restroom available I was told there was one n my room. On the way to my room it was filthy the grounds, the walls, the elevator everything looked like it should be demolished. When I got to my room the room was filthy and my keys would not work ( and I still needed to use the restroom) by this point I was afraid of what was behind the door. I walked back down to the lobby and told them about my key and they apologized. I told them the place was filthy and wouldn’t stay there. They said they would reverse the room charge I hope they follow through. I will know in the next few days.

Decent Hotel, but Wi-Fi Needs Improvement
This hotel was fairly good with the exception of the Wi-Fi, which was at times unavailable, sometimes very slow, and sometimes not connected to internet. If reliable, fast Wi-Fi is essential for your stay, you may need to reconsider. Downtown South San Francisco is literally three minutes' walk away, extremely handy and the train station is at the door. This hotel serves SFO airport and so there is a lot of late and early movement. It is not the quietest hotel you will have stayed at. I think it was a little overpriced compared to the better hotels nearby, but they are at least $20 - 30 per night more expensive.

The location was good. The breakfast was good, but more of a variety or changing of items would have been nice. For instance, instance oatmeal packages are cheap and should be offered. Instead of muffins, put out some donuts. Simple changes. Did not like & should not have had to pay for parking!!!! There were no amenities. It would have been nice to have a working hot tub!!!

I paid for my daughter and granddaughter's hotel for the night. They made my daughter give them cash for incidentals instead of taking her CC, for whatever reason. Room smelled. Staff seemed somewhat incompetent but not rude. It took an hour and 2 phone calls for the shuttle to come pick them up. Overall just an unpleasant experience for 200.00 for the night. I know there are more expensive places but definitely not worth the money.

It was late and I was out of sorts. The desk clerk was quite patient and helpful. It is no fault of the property that after hours restaurants are scarce. The gentleman at the desk understood my distress and even made the call to a place for us which would deliver pizza after nine p.m. Parking was easy, thankfully, because they have a lot--the rest of San Francisco was wildly unpleasant for parking. High marks for this Comfort Inn!

Check in and check out were great. Staff very kind. Rooms are nicer than expected. But as others reviewed, huge gap under door big enough to see and hear everything outside. Had similar experience as other reviewer, put do not disturb sign, left for work, came back the sign was thrown on the ground and items in my room had been moved around. Luckily all my valuables were with me. Had room on first floor near CalTran, would stay again just not on first floor.

The facility is in good condition and the room was clean. The location is safe enough, but near the freeway and railroad tracks, which is a bit noisy. My biggest complaint is that at 3:20am a young man started talking loudly on the phone for over an hour. I spoke with him and he politely continued his loud, emotional conversation. I called the desk twice and they said they would intervene, but did not. We had to catch an early flight and did not get much sleep. We stayed here to try to get a good night's sleep.

This property is in the middle of an area with lots of offices and other industries, so options for eating and other supplies were limited without a car. It is a great place to stay if you are planning to spend lots of time in San Francisco, as the CalTrain South San Francisco stop is right next to it. The outside of the property and the elevator were a little run down, but the room we had was clean and quiet, and the lobby looked nice. The light over the sink was burnt out and didn’t get replaced while we were there, even though we complained. Over all we had a good experience.

The room appeared clean, but when going to bed I noticed the comforter had a small spot of blood on it. I didn't notify staff as it was late and I was tired. I just covered the spot with the sheet and then forgot about it.

The hotel is located conveniently between the airport and downtown SF. The Caltrain station is right across the street. Also, downtown South SF is a 5-minute walk from the hotel in case you're looking for a nice breakfast or lunch. This makes the hotel really convenient for spending the weekend in the Bay Area.

Sorry to report that the place was so close to the freeway and railway noise with constant ka-booms from cars connecting during my check-in process, and when I got to my room, I couldn't open the door; so, I went back to the desk and requested a refund. I ended up at the Hilton that night and was much happier for it though it was quite a bit more expensive. It also felt more like a motel than a hotel ..

I had a good stay, the staff were very helpful. Room was very large and clean. The location is convenient, right off of the freeway, though it is in an unattractive industrial area. Parking is a little less than dollars a night, which is reasonable in this area. Plenty of safe parking. They served a full hot breakfast, much more than most places are serving these days. It is about a 20 minute drive into San Francisco, so a very reasonable place to stay without paying city prices and city parking. Although it is in a very windy location, and the staff says it is almost always like that! I will definitely stay there again!

Large gap in the door. Found several bugs in the room and in the bathroom. Bathroom was dirty. The previous guest left the shampoo bottles and soap in the shower. It was not cleaned up for the next guest. The air vent for t he AC unit was filthy dirty. I have stayed at this property in the past few years. It has really gone downhill.

Coffee maker in room wasnt ckeaned and had a used coffee bag in it still when we checked in. Telephone cord had some sticky sauce. Bedsheets werent ironed and were all crumpled. Housekeeping took forever to bring a towel. No hot breakfast - just a grab and go bag.

Overall it was a safe location and close to everything, easy to get to and out of which are all great things but I expect a certain standard of cleaning and especially now with a pandemic.
I had to get Lysol wipes and clean everything when we checked in. I mean dirt that was literal chunks stuck to surfaces, ground in dirt on doorways that hadn’t seen a wipe in a very long time . The decorative curtains were stained beyond fixing. The room also stunk to high heaven is smoke and dogs but after two days driving we were too tired to be bothered to move plus I didn’t want to clean another room. I understand there is a staffing shortage and with the cleaners not going into the long stay rooms ever until check out thing get much dirtier but the hotel needs to allow for much longer clean times so these details are not being missed. I stay at a lot of hotels and this one is going downhill fast if this level of neglect keeps up. On a positive note the grounds are well maintained. You can see where management prioritize their spending.

The room was ok until I noticed the door had a crack in it and let a lot of cold air in had to put towels under door , the rooom next to me stay up till 3am parting talking loud outside and in, then the toilet didn’t start to drain that problem started around 6am, the hotel was booked so I couldn’t change rooms and I had took my daughters 4 and 9 years old along , so never again for me

It took over 35 minutes to check in. There was a line of two or three people ahead of me. I literally have never seen such a slow process or incompetent staff.
The hotel is OK but it’s basically an upscale crack motel. The rooms are motel rooms. It is also comically close to an extremely loud railroad track with train horns going off occasionally thru the night. There are dozens of hotels in the SFO area to chose from and I will never stay here again.

The location is good, but a train station (Caltrain?) has just been completed adjacent to one of the three room buildings. Do not accept one of those rooms. The hotel itself is getting old and feels more like a motel. The breakfast used to be passable, but this last trip the hours were shortened so we don’t know if it is still okay. Finishing at nine when one has been out late with friends doesn’t work. It has slipped to last resort for us when in the area, and we will opt to pay a little more and try for some of the others in the area which we know. It’s not truly bad (do NOT go to the nearby Ramada) but is no longer a top choice if others are available.

We stayed here because it was close to the airport and had a shuttle. We arrived around 7p. Was a quick and efficient check-in. Unfortunately the first room wasn't the cleanest. After laying in bed for a few minutes, I quickly realized I was laying in something wet. My pants had a large wet spot on them from the mattress pad. There was not smell, or stain, so am hoping it was from a freshly washed pad that hadn't fully dried. We don't know though. The front desk once notified quickly changed our room, which was cleaner. We tried to sleep, Unfortunately the train passes regularly. In the morning, the included breakfast was a bag with a microwavable burrito, Belvita breakfast cookies and a small OJ. Check out was easy and the airport shuttle efficient.
