The property is old. Room we stayed needs new carpet, fresh paint. It does not reflect the area that is usually a high end area in St. Louis. I chooses this area because I know this area when I live here 27 years ago. I am somewhat disappointed.

Pleasant—will stay at Courtyard again
Check in was very quick and easy, room was spotless and incredibly comfortable, and my stay was overall quite pleasant. The halls were quiet, and I got a great night’s sleep.

It was under construction but it did not notice before on the website. My room was not done. The maids seemed to just stop servicing the rooms at a certain time. The hotel charged me more than the rate on their website.

Remodeling and entire property is not accessible. The hallway to our room was completely dark and just open rooms that were under construction. We had to park in the back of the hotel and walk in a back door that was not well lit. There were tarps hanging all around the inside and we did not feel safe. Rooms are beyond outdated so the renovation is needed.

The check-in process was seamless and quick. The staff was friendly. The hotel lobby and hallways were clean and smelled good. My room was clean and at a comfortable temperature upon arrival. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were terrible, but I never expect hotel pillows to be comfortable.

Ok but not worth the upgraded price
It was good not great. Paid for a king with sofa. When I arrived they were going to put me in a 2 queen room. When I showed them the room I booked they put me in a handicap accessible king with no couch. Just a little disappointed

It was perfect! One of the best places I’ve stayed in a while. Even under construction it was clean and the updates are going to make it even better. This will be my go to hotel when I’m in this area. The beautiful courtyard makes you feel like more of a resort than a hotel.

Good pit stop
Using as a pit stop for a longer trip - check in was super fast and a breeze. Warned me about construction, but didn’t hear any of it, they put me on the 1st floor and renovation started at 9am on the 3rd floor. I was gone before that anyway. However, our room, you could tell was just recently renovated. Clean, bed and pillows were great- a little stuffy as the A/C was off - the bathroom still had a roll of painters tape, a pile of construction dust at the threshold from the room to the bathroom - and remnants of construction on the shower head and top of tub - plus the floor was dusty - like swept and clean, but not mopped.
I didn’t mind, as it made me feel like home (I’m in construction) and luckily my wife was too tired to care or noticed.she was the ecstatic about how comfy the bed was.
All and all a great nights sleep and if we ever drive through again - we’d stay there again.

They are remodeling- great idea! Our thermostat had 2 choices freezing Or heat- hopefully the temperature gets renovated as well .we weren’t in room much- out with family .

Neat and tidy. Very clean. There was some construction happening on top floor which is positive for the future. It’s possible that the AC filter in our room needs to be replaced as I have a hypersensitivity to dust and developed a sinus infection over the course of three days. Could have been other allergens from trees pollen also. Other than that a great stay overall.

Horrible night will not do it again!
When we pulled in we were immediately met by another guest that told us not to stay there. They had been trapped on an elevator for an hr. When we checked in we were told the elevator was down and we asked if we could get a room on the 1st floor my boyfriend has a bad back and at 1st the clerk said yes and when handed our keys she said oh well we are super booked and we don't have anything on the 1st floor. We were shown on a map were our room was and in the middle of the map there was pool plain as day. So we were looking forward to that. We changed into our swimsuits and found pool was closed indefinitely. We later found that our key was supposed to have a note in it saying this but was not there.

Friendly, inviting staff!
The hotel was excellent! The grounds were well-maintained and lit. The place looked and smelled clean. The staff was very warm and welcoming. The check in process was extremely quick and thorough. The room was comfortable!

Nice people, Hotel is very outdated
This facility was exceptionally clean as one would expect from Marriott. However the room was sorely lacking on routine amenities. There was no Microwave, there were no USB ports in anything except the TV. Some rooms had lounge chairs on their balconies others did not. I did notice these chairs were in poor repair. The pool was closed and had a sign that said it was permanently closed.
From my perspective, this facility was positively not worth the cost of the room. As I said, the place was clean, the staff was pleasant and the facility is in need of a major upgrade.

First they put us in a room without a sleeper sofa. The pool was closed indefinitely. The breakfast was expensive. There was no daily room service which meant if you were there for two days you had to ask for towels & coffee. It is sad that such a nice place fails to provide what is needed for a comfortable stay. Won’t stay here again!

Amenities are terrible
The hotel is cutting corners left and right. There is no housekeeping unless you stay for three nights - totally ridiculous at this price. In addition, the pool is permanently closed. They have a guest laundry that is not available, and they don't even have water for guests in the gym. Every hotel gym has water available except this one. Very cheap management.

Nice place to stay.
Traveled for a Celebration of Life for and old friend. Also stopping to see family. Good trip, nice hotel in a decent place in town. Good food and stuff you might need nearby. Close to interstates and transportation. Easy in and out.

Upon arrival, we were told that the pool is closed indefinitely. I am on a special trip with my son and we chose this hotel specifically because of the pool. I wish we had been told the pool would not be available so we could have stayed elsewhere. Very disappointing.

Stayed for a week.
Staff was very nice and always addressed me and my family for the entire week. I did find it interesting that they only cleaned the rooms every 3 days. They did give new towels and coffee ect. if needed. Also, just a note, I think I was confused about the breakfast option. The app showed I could add when I checked in and that was not an option. It was available if I wanted to sit and eat each day.

When we first arrived the room smelled of cigarettes and was supposed to be a non-smoking room. There were no other rooms to move us to so the housekeeping staff set up an ionizing machine to eliminate the odor. After about 3 hrs we returned to the room and it smelled much better.

Housekeeping dept needs improvement
Hotel clean and friendly staff. No remote in room when we checked in. Housekeeping brought one. Called housekeeping twice next morning for extra towels (sorry two is never enough in king size room) and no answer so called front desk. Waited 20 minutes nothing , called front desk again. Never got the towels.

I would never stay here again.
The carpet was soaking wet and the room smelled musty. You have to pay for breakfast and the room layout is awkward. Staff at the front desk deserves better quality rooms to sell.

Toilet clogged, had to wait 1 hr to get a plunger. Sink remains clogged. I called down to the front desk for a plunger, she said give me a minute. Called back down and there was a new person on duty, she indicated she had no idea of the request. Once she got the issue we got the plunger shortly thereafter. TV channel that I wanted to watch (CNBC) not working. I chose Courtyard by Marriott based on my experience of them being modern facilities but this trip has been very bad. I will not be staying at Courtyard by Marriott any more

Picked the property because it was supposed to have an indoor heated pool. Pool was freezing the first night and inaccessible the next night. Extremely disappointed I could have found a cheaper hotel with breakfast

No Reservation
Tried to check in and was told I did not have a reservation and that it was for the previous week. I showed the email of my confirmation and they still did not fulfil it. Not very good to not even try to accommodate or even try to help out.

It was clean, but we expected more
The hotel was clean and staff were friendly but we were underwhelmed and disappointed overall. Our biggest let down was that the pool was ICE COLD. The indoor pool room was 75' and the water was freezing cold. We chose a hotel for the pool option, so that felt like a complete waste.
The rooms thermostat did not have a heat/cool option only a temperature selection. If the temp goes lower than the setting- the heat kicks on. If higher- the air kicks on. The room was unbearably loud with the constant kick on and it got miserably warm and stuffy. The online pre-check in was a waste as well. We still had to check in at the desk. We didn't attempt the "restaurant". No microwave- the only common area microwave is in the lobby. Mini fridge in the room was MINI. It was big enough to place one take out container sideways.
As a family, I wouldn't stay again. As an adult individual who needs a clean/safe place to stay for the night-maybe? But I'd probably go with someone who offers basic amenities and breakfast.

Over all ok
The pictures showed a bar and it is not open. They have a nice array to sit outside. We were looking forward to a drink and sitting outside. Disappointed with that. Also was not notified that the elevator doesn’t work.

Have stayed here other times. Hotel clean. Staff friendly, good check in. However water in shower was cold. The water in sink was hot and fine. Just cold

Great place to stay.
Very comfortable room and the bed was outstanding. Very quiet. Plenty of places to eat, just not after 9pm. 20 minutes form downtown. I would stay there again for sure.

Long walk to room for no reason
When we checked in, we were told that the elevators are being serviced (out of order) and we are on the second floor, BUT if you sign up for Marriot points we will give you 2 x the points. Then we were told the best way to our room was around the corner park at the first door. Then our room was at the very end of that hallway. This was interesting as there was an outside entrance one floor below our room - not sure why staff wanted us to walk clear to the other end of the building with our suitcases etc. Rooms were clean. Probably when the elevators are working this is a decent hotel.

Did not know in advance the property was under renovation. We were on the second floor with no elevator. Seems minor but my wife was on crutches. Hotel offered points and discounted breakfast but should have reduced the room rate.

Terrible customer service
We never even got through the check in process. The manager working was so rude that we wound up leaving and going to a different location, effectively wasting this booking. I totally understand that sometimes requests can't be accommodated, but this woman was smug, unhelpful, and basically told us to go away after we made several suggestions trying to find a solution. I will never book here again!

Nice hotel, clean, good price
While we were only at this hotel overnight - it was a great experience. The facility was clean, the room was clean and very nice. The location was close to the main Barnes-Jewish Hospital location - easy to access by interstate. Easy to get to with good parking available. Did not try any of the amenities. Would go back and stay for more than over-night for procedure.

Slept Well - But no USB Ports for Charging Phone
The room was very clean, and temperature control great -- slept very well -- these are the two most important aspects of a stay to me. The halls & elevator were not cooled though and the outside temps were in the high 90s. Most important to me was the fact that there were no USB ports in the room for charging my phone. I had brought the charging cord but not the plug since every hotel I have recently been in had USB ports for charging.

The only thing I can complain about was the laundry facility/room was closed/out of order. We stayed 3 nights and never saw anyone working on machines. When you travel for baseball tournaments you count on those laundry facilities.

The property and staff were excellent and very helpful. But check-in took 2 hours because Expedia had the wrong date for our stay! I was on the phone two hours trying to get the date remedied!!! The person handling it did a very poor job and it was never resolved. I finally gave up and booked a room directly. The night staff saved a room for us. I will never book through Expedia again.

Bed was comfy and room was clean .. I flew in at 2am and needed to wash clothes which is why I chose this location unfortunately it was down (ie not offering service anymore) also Expedia said there was a spa but that wasn't the cast either. Also the ac kept shutting off making the room unbearably hot.

It was great. Only hiccup was we got locked out of our adjoining rooms and there was no staff on site until the next morning to let us in the second room. So we all had to pile up in one room for the night. However, they discounted rooms so we stayed an extra day! Overall great hotel , very friendly staff

The photos and description show/state that there is a hot tub and there is not one at this location. That is why my wife chose this hotel so we were disappointed to see that it was take out and tiled over.

Web site stated there was a hot tube, but there is not. It’s been cemented over. The pool was cold, in general the pool area needed to be redone. Paint was peeling.

Very nice
Stayed in town for a Cardinals game! Nice staff, clean room and nice stay.
Only problem was the paper thin walls, heard all the neighbors and their kids both nights!

We have been coming to this hotel for some time now, because the staff is outstanding! They make you feel at home and comfortable. Pool was unfortunately out of service, but it did not take away from enjoying our stay. It is conveniently located close to all the restaurants, shopping, and major highways. We will be back again soon.
