I really enjoyed having a small terrace and a separate living area and bedroom, and the courtyard was beautiful...pool, hot tub, firepit, sitting areas. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was a little firm for me, but i slept well, and i definitely enjoyed the amenities and the view from the terrace!

I was charged $20 for early check in. I have never had that happen before. Refrigerator wasn’t cooling. Room smelled musty. Just a tired property.

You know when you pay a premium for a hotel like this, everything is going to be expensive. The water in my room looked nice, but it was 5 bucks. I don't think that's very respectable. However, if you want a "safe" and predictable place for a premium, this is it.

We received superior front desk assistance from the experienced staff. There were also some young seemingly part-time staff (students?) that were only ok. Generally I could get around the young staff and get what I needed from the permanent staff.

Grade a hotel not the most up to date rooms but very clean the service though is probably the best part they’re very helpful. There’s tons to do an eat all withing walking distance of the hotel. They have a wonderful outdoor area… its a very cozy atmosphere.

When I attended here about 2 years ago after my graduation from GCU it was amazing The staff was great they even let us feel like home by sitting out Christmas decorations for us to eat in and out in the lobby with. The old general Manager even came out and made sure we were feeling as if their whole lobby was ours to enjoy.
That being said this second stay was not enjoyable at all. I paid extra to upgrade my room to a suite and the air conditioning was not working in the main area. My grandmother who needs a handicap room was given a handicap room with a tub. According to the new general manager Rachel the Ada requirements state that only one room must have a walk in shower and that is always booked a year in advance. I'm not sure how someone who is in a handicap room is supposed to use a tub if they are in a wheelchair. When we let the evening management know Ruben Gabe us two waters and two vouchers for breakfast. We then went downstairs the following day and complained to the general manager. She apologized but that's about it. She didn't really do anything and continued to apologize. The breakfast was awful and expensive since we had to purchase extra items due to the coffee being too strong and the pancakes tasting bad. The avocado toast was more like guacamole spread and was thin as well. When I complained to the manager about the handicap room being too far down the hall she said there is a door but no ramp to go up the curb. Never again will I stay there

This is a nice place, but I have two suggestions for them. First, the room was exceptionally cold when we arrived. It was 105 outside, so it's really crazy to set the thermostat at 65. Second, for the price we were paying, a free breakfast would be nice.

Front Desk staff was the major difference in my stay. The rep that checked me in and out *offered* every accommodation to ease my stay and meeting schedule - early access, quiet room, late checkout. Stark contrast to other hotels I stayed at in the past year. Location is conveniently located in very easy walking distance to stores, fitnes, and good restaurants for breakfast & Lunch/Dinner.

Amazing time at the hotel
My status hotel with my mom was amazing. The room was excellent. It was clean. It was very comfortable. The staff from the front desk to the housekeepers and other stuff was amazing. Very friendly. Very professional in every manner. This hotel is put in like the right place. It's got you know whole foods and fries and trader Joe's. It's got a bunch of like little shops near that. You can walk to plenty of places to go out to eat. That's in walking distance. But you can either eat at the restaurant or bring back to the hotel. I would definitely be recommending to stay at this hotel again

2nd visit at this Sonesta. It’s in a perfect, and central location for my travel needs. The Biltmore area has great shopping and many restaurants. The hotel was clean, and the staff provided excellent service. The rooms could use a refresh, especially the lighting over the bathroom vanity. Would stay again.

Comfortable bed & room. Nice to be in a mall setting. 2 complaints: need better Signage from the road. Nab kept telling us to turn right into random parking lots. 2) Housekeeping started knocking & trying to come in at 8 am, multiple times.

Relaxing staycation

It was in a great location, right in with Town & Country shopping mall and there was covered parking with easy access to the hotel. The room was comfortable and very quiet. I'd stay there again!

This property was beautiful if you can get a first floor patio. We did and loved it. We walked directly out our door and to the hot tub no walking down halls or using stairs. It was also quiet on the first floor. Pool only open until 9. Also twin peaks is 300ft away. We ate dinner there it was excellent a little racey but didn’t bother us. It’s like a hooters

The convention at the hotel dominating the lobby was inappropriate to us as guests. It is a lovely idea for cultures to gather. This would be appropriate in a banquet room NOT lobby. Restrooms in lobby area were unkept with baskets over flowing. Room was clean and appropriate. Pool was comfortable yet some lounge chairs with excessive bird residue were unacceptable.

Great place, but dim lighting
There were many things that were great at this hotel, like the service, the design, the location, and the amenities. That said, I found the rooms to be too dark for me. I had a difficult time seeing well enough to put on my makeup or see into my luggage. I would appreciate the possibility of turning on an overhead light, and improved lighting in the mirror area.

Comfortable hotel overall. Very convenient to dining, shopping. Safe area. Weakness is the shower in our room lacked a fan, so the humidity from the shower was noticeable. Most hotels have insufficient bathroom lighting for applying makeup, and this is no exception. Nice pool area and polite staff.

Stayed here on a business trip. It is completitively priced for the area. Staff was kind, check in and out a breeze. I didn’t use the pool or gym. It’s located within walking distance to shops and restaurants which is nice. The view from the 2nd floor to the parking garage left much to be desired.

The room was clean, and the bed was good. However, I paid extra for a balcony, and it was not really a balcony. It was just a sliding door that opened, not anything that you could step out on. The room also lacked accoutrement like hand lotion, and a plastic bag for laundry. The tapwater tasted terrible, but I was charged five dollars for a bottle of decent drinking water. When I complain to the staff, they were nonplussed I would not stay here again.

Room was clean, which was pleasant. Didn't necessarily appreciate hie the shampoo and shower wash was affixed to the wall. There was a used bar soap in the bathroom, would have appreciated a new bar for my stay. Water drained really slowly in the tub and sink.

Not worth the price
I arrived at 3pm for a 4pm check in. I was told there would be a $17 fee for an early check in. I have never had any hotel have this type of fee. I should get a discount I leave early if you’re going to charge me to check in early and the room is available. My other gripe was off/site parking. Since I couldn’t check in early, I wasn’t able to get back to the hotel until later in the evening. After walking in from the hotel, I was given a parking pass and told I had to walk all the way back out to the parking garage to leave the pass in my car. Why can’t you just take my license plate? Lack of breakfast for the price of the place is also a negative. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We walked into our room and checked for bugs right away like we always do. Found bed bugs and left right away. Will gladly lose hotel money to not get biten by bed bugs.

Side door and back door unlocked. Back door had a towel duck taped to keep it open. That’s a safety issue. Also there was no hot water. It would take up to 5 mins to “warm” up.

The staff are friendly and accommodating. One thing I wasn't informed was that I have to request for room clean up. It's not automatic. With other hotels, the rooms will be automatically cleaned up if you do not hang the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door.

The property is close to dunkin donuts.Itvis my favorite coffee place in the morning with donuts.Aside from that, it is very accessible to grocery stores that i love like trader joes and my favorite japanese restaurant kura!! This hotel is just oerfect for me!!!

Great property in a nice safe location.
We stayed here at the end of August for a week when moving our daughter into her dorm. Can’t say enough great things about this property. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, we felt safe enough in the location to leave stuff in our vehicle overnight, walkout poolside room with a little patio and seating, located in a little shopping strip mall with restaurants. 10 minute drive right down camelback to GCU campus. 10-15 drive down camelback to fashion square mall. So many great things about this property. Only thing I wish was that breakfast was included but they have a breakfast cafe, nekter, and Dunkin’ Donuts right next door. You can get breakfast on site for an extra fee though. They also have a small menu for lunch/dinner and bar drinks available. We will be staying here again in 3 weeks.

What hospitality should be
The front desk gentleman was incredible (Blake) he allowed me to check in early as we were there because AC broke down at our home so he got us in our room and cooled down excellent customer service! It's exactly what hospitality should be.
