Don’t trust what the staff tells you.
Dishonesty and misleading customers seems to be a trend.
I was told that bicycles, beach towels and beach chairs were complimentary but they were NOT !! I was charged $33 per day for them even if I didn’t use them. Terrible

The nightclub right next to the hotel so you can’t sleep because it’s so loud, strip club directly across the street with women with no clothes on in the large billboard, no suites, housekeeping knocked once and entered our room and didn’t even give us a chance to say we were there. Never again.

Will not be coming back to Miami
Surprised that a Marriott is located in this sleazy area of south beach. Not family friendly at all. Located next to a strip club with another right across the street. What happened to south beach???

Overall enjoyed my stay at Courtyard, very clean, staff was very nice, restaurant/bar has limited hours (therefore didn’t get to use 29$ credit). I wish the rooms had a safe.

Stayed 4 days...I wanted a hotel with a pool that stayed open past 6pm...Staff was excellent..!st room had a leak ...they immedietly transfered us to another room at 3am in the morning...we got there early 12 noon was giving a room earler than expected...My card was charged a day earlier than expected...there was a balance of $100 "destination fee" I was expecting to pay upon arrival but was told I didnt have to pay it ??/ well I had to pay it at check out...I was confused because I didnt book with breakfast (29.00) per day included ...I was told is was being givin to me! but sure enuff at check out I had to pay for the breakfast!! EVERYTHING HAS A SURCHARGE BEWARE! The hotel was great ...service was great... they did bend over backwards for me and my wife but I was uncormfortable because I was givin services I did not agree to!

Wry impressed at this hotel/location as the price was much less for a family than anything else in the vicinity. You cannot beat this location, right in the middle of the best eating/drinking/shopping streets and only short two block walk to the ocean. The roof top pool was so so beautiful, a great additions to an already great hotel. Much recommended for family stay with older kids.

A bit disappointmed
There are several things that are not working, including elevator and dryer. The solo functioning elevator is particularly problematic because all the cleaning staff and guests are waiting for it. There are no cups in the gym and no towels in the swimming pool. For the price it charges, it just doesn't feel right.

I didn’t like the fact the hotel had a very late check-in at 4 p.m. The staff was not the best service. The food was not the greatest and house keeping was requested several times to clean the room.

Property was very clean, and sanitized. Front desk people were very helpful and greeted you everytime. Rooms were spacious and clean. My family of 5 comfortably stayed in a 2 queen bed with a let-out sofa. Although my son stated the let-out sofa wasn't very comfortable. The cleaning crew didn't do a very good job on cleaning the rooms each day. They did just enough for you to notice they had been in the room.

There was no housekeeping done for the three days we were there. First, they told us the rooms will be cleaned every other day. NO one came to clean the room when it was scheduled. We informed the front desk and they said that they will send someone, but no one showed up. We had to settle with changing the towels and getting the trash thrown out by the cleaners.
We had terrible experience. The elevators in the building were not working properly either.

The rooftop pool is amazing! Loved it! I just wish they would make that and the rooftop patio available to guests later in the evening. Guests are out exploring during the day and at the beach, by the time we got back to our room we didn't really get to enjoy the rooftop because it was closed.

The hotel is beautiful and clean. The customer service here is not what I expected, since I’ve always tried to stay at other Marriott hotels. A simple “good morning” “sorry for the wait” “have a good day” is so difficult for the front-desk associate—Joe I believe that was his name? The other associates are nice and attentive to our needs. I was asked if I wanted to join the rewards program since I always travel and with the terrible service I will take my business elsewhere. Thank you!

Stayed for mayweather’s fight. Had a awesome weekend, this hotel is centrally located amongst everything. Shopping, restaurants, clubs, beach, drinks are all in walking distance. Pool area is smaller than I thought it would be but it’s still nice to chill out. I would definitely stay here again.

The property was clean, pleasant, and very welcoming. Our flight landed at 10 am and the the hotel policy states that check-in doesn't begin until 4 pm. We requested an early check-in and our rooms were ready by 12:30 pm. The hotel staff was generous enough to hold our bags until the rooms were ready. We liked the amenities in the hotel and its convenient location to all beaches and restaurants in the South Beach area.

This hotel is great for the price and the location. Not sure why some people didn't have a good experience, but this hotel worked for us! We originally booked a king bed with a sofa bed room, but we got upgraded to a two queen room with a sofa bed as we checked-in! The sofa bed is dirty with lots of stains on them, so we did not use it at all. I would not recommend using it. However, everything else was clean and up to par! There is no room service, so we asked for fresh towels every day. Whenever we asked for something delivered to our room (such as the towels, etc.), it did take some time. We usually had to call twice and the second time, it would be delivered shortly after. The pool at the top is great and pretty big with lounge chairs. The hotel can get pretty loud at night so I would not recommend this for a family. The walls are thin, so you can hear people talking/partying next door, but it never obnoxiously loud. After midnight you have to use your hotel card to enter. I really liked that, because it can get pretty busy on that street. Overall, this hotel worked my friends and I for the price & amazing location.

I like the rooftop area. It wasn’t unique because a lot of the hotels have rooftops areas with pools in south beach but it was still the nicest part of the hotel. Cant say much about the stuff because I only really saw 1 or 2 front desk receptionist at a time. The bar is barely opened at all, in fact I saw it “opened” a total of twice my entire stay (granted the bartender wasn’t even out there to make it welcome or even seem open, she stood behind the door peeking out of the glass port) the lights being turned on were the reason you would’ve even noticed that the bar might’ve been opened at all.... when “Starbucks” was opened you basically had to walk them threw a coffee because they were clueless as to how to even make the simplest of Starbucks refreshments. The “bistro” was non existent and never mentioned in the slightest and not to mention that being paired with no room service (IN SOUTH BEACH). The upkeep of the overall building was ok there are several spots you notice they have put up crooked or dirty decorations to cover the rust and decay (especially on the roof as you exit the elevator) the water pressure in our rooms shower was like a dribble which added to the lack of luxury throughout. The fridge in our bedroom was broken and we only were able to find that out because our first night there we brought back leftovers from dinner and stuck them in the fridge, by morning the entire room stunk to the heavens I opened the fridge to find out it was hot. Need to say more

I like the rooftop pool. I wish the music up there was louder. The room i stayed in had dirty sheets and pillowcases, towels, no ice bucket, bathroom floor was dirty as was the refrigerator. I saw the old man joe getting treated badly like it was his fault so we tried not to make a big deal out of it. Whenever we called for a request for an ice bucket or clean towels and bedding we where told ok and they never came we called like 4 times wnd went down twice before we ever got anything. Only one elevator worked as well. House keeping and other stafc where also rude but i understand the stress they where goong through.

Not an enjoyable stay!
This hotel was not up to Marriott standards, not sure if they are even aware of the issues. I have stayed in cleaner motels before and would give this less than 1 star. It was filthy l, seems like there wasn’t even an attempt to clean this room. Thankfully I received a full refund and the manager was very helpful!

The location is wonderful. Easy access to the beach and many wonderful restaurants and retail stores to enjoy.
The night Staff- Tamara Louis was not plesant on our arrival at 3:00 AM, after I had called in advance to confirm that we would be arriving. She double charged us for the stay.Check in was rushed, sheets were not in the room for the pull out couch and when we asked for them we got 2 fitted sheets and a pillow that reaked. The room was not clean - had wet wipes and trash from prior guests under the pull out couch.Joe and Jelixa were much better in their interactions with us. Very disappointed with the hospitality and cleanliness of Courtyard Marriott - Miami beach. We have been marriott members for so many years and confident in the properties but this experience has almost convinced me to reconsider future bookings at the Marriott.

Overall experience was good. The elevator was very slow and was a hassle to switch elevators to get to the pool and had no stairs to the roof pool in case of emergency. The door to our room kept sticking and had to force it open.

This hotel is not up to Marriott standards. I’ve stayed at dozens of Courtyards and this location is terrible. Feels like a totally different hotel. It’s a partially refurbished old hotel eg new faucet, very old shower and HVAC. The hotel smells, carpets are dirty, walls are paper thin. Poorly staffed. Hard to get services or someone to answer the phone. Photos are very deceiving. The area is not family friendly directly across from a strip club and a party scene. The clientele is not family friendly. The plus is it’s a close walk to Collins Ave, Espanol Way and Lincoln Road and the public beach entrance near Royal Palm. There is paid street parking.

Valet parking attendant took about 25 minutes, so make sure plan accordingly. There were no towels by the pool, so plan accordingly. The optioned not to have their cafe and bar open, so again plan accordingly. The room to room noise is one of the loudest I have heard; however, we did have an ajoining door to the next room. May want to ask for a completely separate room. We figured the views would be poor, and they are. Overall the lobby, hallways and rooms are near like new and neat and clean. Left a bit of food in the garbage and upon waking up, ants everywhere...forgot I was in Miami/FL. I called down for ice and more towels and was told no one can come up, that I would need to come for them. It is likely the least expensive nice chain hotel in the area, so that was a plus...and it was the last room in the area. On a side note, South Beach Latin vibe is completely gone and the music and safety has changed. After 20 years of visiting several times a year, we will not be traveling back to S Beach again. While there, I saw fights, protests and hundreds of police trying to ensure the peace...and this was an average week.

Stayed 4 nights in early Feb 2020. Happy with stay. Location was great with many food options immediately around the hotel. Chose not to valet park as there was a public deck on 16th street ($20/day). Only a couple of blocks from the beach and the busy Ocean Drive. Some loud guests over the weekend, but expected given location. Overall, would stay again.

Me and my wife stayed for 3 nights and we absolutely enjoyed it. The rooms are great and clean and nicely priced. The hotel is within walking distance of everything, literally takes a two minute walk to ocean dr. Espanola way is about 30 sec walk. The only downside was the restaurant and bar were closed while we visited but that is understandable during COVID-19

Great Value for South Beach!
For South Beach Miami, this was a great value! Clean & comfortable place, great location (walking distance from everything we needed), and affordable. The only downfall in my opinion was their rooftop & pool area closed at 6 pm, so my friends & I couldn’t hang out there to eat our dinner/drinks like we intended to.

This was a great place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a great area right down the street from Lincoln Road Mall, a lot of local restaurants, and minutes from the beach & Ocean Drive. I definitely plan on staying here again!

It was just a OK stay. When we arrived there wasn’t a warm greeting from staff. Checked into hotel and was given a room that we did not request. When asked for the room to be changed they stated that they couldn’t. Location was great. Walking distance to all of the local attractions, but as far as overall stay... it was just OK.

The hotel is clean and room was modern and updated. Beach is only two blocks away however Washington Street a little dicey. Staff was great and provided us anything we needed.
Here is problem. The walls are paper thin. I have never been in a hotel room where I can hear people next door talking. It was very loud and tough for my wife and three kids to sleep. We had to use a sound machine app. from phone and crank it up at night. This was a dealbreaker for us- we would never stay there again.

Hotel was so dirty, linen was stained, there were little bugs all over the night stand, valet service was horrible, I was cited because valet had forgot to take my vehicle. No room service, I stayed for 3nights and I had to go to front desk and demand towels. Bed was so horrible the love seat was really dirty, disgusting actually. Pictures on Expedia are deceiving FYI.

Check was slow. I was given a room with no supplies in it. When we went to the front desk to get them we were asked why we didn’t just change our room. The news was ridiculous all evening and night. The property does not appear very safe. There was a security guard at the front but she was playing on her phone every time we walked past her.

Reliable in South Beach
Pros- nice CLEAN room close to the beach and walkable to most everything. We didn’t interact with the staff much but appreciated the offer for restaurant reservations and they held our bags for a couple hours after we checked out. Enjoyed the sunset from the rooftop deck 1 night and also the deep seating area on the rooftop for a call home when my roommate was sleeping. Used both the bakery & market conveniently located across the street.
Cons- Club Madonna across the street (May be a + for another guest).
