I dislike the bed/bedding. It’s just a mattress against the wall. There are “header pillows” in lieu of a headboard, and the shams do not fit so the gross pillow sticks out. The comforter is no good. Too small for a king and the sheets kept coming off bed.

I was disappointed in the condition of this hotel. There was a great deal of mildew in the bathroom shower, and the shower walls looked dirty. Also, I thought it was odd that the beds did not have head boards. In place of headboards, there was a foam wedge placed behind the pillows. Also, we walked by a storage room which had an open door, and boy, sometimes you are just better off not seeing things that are supposed to closed off. It was just sloppy and dirty in general.

There was an issue with the cleanliness of the room that was taken care upon request.
If we were to return, I doubt we will stay there. No matter the room setting, the air in the room was stale and stuffy. The mattress sagged in the middle and the pillows were small and too soft.

Disappointing
No mattress covers! Funny foam cushion things as headboards that didn’t have covers that fit. Shower curtain was red with mildew.
Should invest in continental breakfast over the Starbucks thing.

It was perfectly fine for a couple nights, situated in a good area and easily walkable which is nice. We stayed during Parents Weekend at JMU. My only complaint was the lack of coffee available for patrons in the early morning hours, mostly due to the onsite Starbucks that opened late on weekend and ran behind schedule.

Updated Courtyard. Quick check in, nice sized room, updated, comfy pillows, walk in shower. I hate the no top sheet fad. Bring the top sheet back!!

I did not like the sheets, they wouldn’t stay over the edge. It’s annoying. I also did not like that there wasn’t a headboard. Instead there were gross pillows with covers that didn’t fit properly. The room was hot and I kept lowering the AC but it stayed the same temperature. It wasn’t super horrible though. I have stayed at worse places in Harrisonburg.

The hotel was nice and the staff was pleasant! The first room we had the a/c was not working but the staff was able to accommodate us with another room! The second room was fine but the toilet was loose! The pool was out of order which was upsetting for the kids! Overall was a nice stay!

Front staff was friendly when checking in. Hotel is beautiful and smells pleasant upon arrival. Our room was comfy. We had a room that overlooked the back of the parking lot maybe like a smoking section, was not a pleasant view and we thought we were going to have a balcony as seen in the pictures. However, we were only staying one night so not a big deal.

My only complaint was I would have liked a good cup of coffee in the morning. Maybe free coffee in the lobby. The packs in the room are not good at all and the breakfast area in the lobby didn't open until 6:30 a.m. We had to leave early so no time to run out and get some. Other than that, very pleasant stay.

Meh, generic, clean room
Meh. For over $200/night I expect at least one piece of artwork or picture on the wall. Felt generic and over priced. Although clean and generally nice, I expected more.

Terrible night
I was put on the same floor as what seemed to be a high school basketball team. Clearly unsupervised.
At 10:30 at night there seemed to be a party going on in the room next to me. When i called the front desk no one answered
I went down to the front desk where 3 people were on the computers. I told them what was going on and one said she wouldn't call the room next to me. I went back to my room and one of the "players" was knocking on my door at pm, doing a piece sign. I called the front desk, fearing for my safety. One person did answer and came upstairs. By the time she got there, i was packed and ready to leave. The employee gave me a different room on a different floor.
I dont understand why i was put in that unsafe position. Traveling alone. I think some of the employees need training in travelers checking in alone and not saying the room number out loud

We stayed one night on a road trip and felt that the accommodations were well worth the cost. The room was spacious, quiet and very comfortable. There was no breakfast but the Starbucks cafe was perfect for our needs. Highly recommend.

Probably wont stay again
Wish they would update info online..They have an indoor pool but its empty. No couches in room..no cots for an extra person. Have to pay outrageous money for breakfast.

Had to asked for toilet paper and the remote for the tv. No extre towels or blanket. The ac/heater vent had lots of dust in it. Mattress very firm.

Not as clean as I would have hoped.
Our check in was friendly and helpful, including changing our room location for my handicap mother. The room appeared tidy however surfaces had not been wiped down and floor had not been vacuumed. I expected more from Marriott

I was a little disappointed with my stay because of several reasons. The pool was not working, the food area was not making food, there was hair on my sheets and our toilet wasn't working properly.

Disappointing
I booked online. I put my name and both of my kids names on the reservation. I got a room with a king size bed and a pull out sofa. You would think that it would have sheets available with a blanket. Nope. You would think that I would have three towels for three people on the reservation. Nope. It was overpriced for what you get.

After checking in at 10:30 pm after 13 hrs of driving, I was put in a room next to the laundry area. I was hoping to sleep in the morning til 8am, but was jolted awake at 6:30 by what sounded like power tools going non stop in the wall next to my bed. Turns out, its the laundry machines. No sound deadwning between that room & a guest room? Insane considering how loud it is & how early it starts up.
I asked for a manager to discuss it & was told there wasnt one there. They took my name & cell #, but I never got a call. I would not stay there again & was supremely dissatisfied, both with the stay & with how my complaint was received & ignored.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Our toilet stopped up twice. We had to request that our room be cleaned and it was not on half of the days. We had to go to the front desk every day for enough bath towels. Very frustrating. Dirty towels were left in the floor in the middle of the room.

The property was clean and modern. Although, I thought it was a little over priced, no continental breakfast, and my family did not enjoy standing in the parking lot for an hour at 9:00PM after the bistro caught on fire.

The property was quiet and centrally located near all the shopping and food stores you would want to go to. The pool was clean, but small and the pool room was a bit chilly. The eco friendly shower products were nice and the staff was friendly. The continental breakfast was basically non existence and using covid as a reason for it would have been acceptable if not for the fact that the Starbucks and bar were open (although with limited schedules) periodically while we were there.

Relatively new property with fine finishes but once again room placement was terrible. I open my window to see the back of the awning roof thats right in front of the lobby, blocking my entire view of the surrounding valley below. The room is two steps away from the elevators & ice machine. The hotel charges to use the internet and you have to get the internet thru the tv.The last straw was the shower head put out too much water for the fancy drain to handle. The entire shower pan filled with water onto the floor.

Friendly, check-in staff.
Batteries were low in thermostat, showers wouldn't stay closed. Toilet never flushed properly. Front Desk gave a plunger and requested it was brought back to desk. It had to stay in restroom.
Much older hotel and elevators were very slow.

I'm not one to complain about hotel rooms, but this one was dirty. Our room was not cleaned very well, we found socks and masks in the floor, the shampoos and soaps had already been used, there was no mattress protector, the sheets were too small for the mattresses and extremely thin, several spots on the carpet that needed scrubbed, and the whole room smelled musty.

The room had one small trashcan. We had to take out our own trash. No free breakfast. Some days you can buy Starbucks. No coffee in lobby. Elevator was dirty.
Staff was nice especially one young man who was working as a housekeeper on 3rd floor. He was always pleasant and helpful

The property is relatively new so furnishings are nice. Lobby is spacious.
Housekeepers did not clean the room. This was disturbing during this pandemic.

The first two rooms we were assigned had not been cleaned.
No complimentary fresh brewed coffee. The coffee pot in the the room had a bug crawl out of it when I started to make the second cup.
The sheets did not appear to be very clean or in good condition. Very disappointed in this Courtyard.

Nice Pillows!
The hotel bed is equipped with a great type of pillow/pad that I've never seen before, and like very much. It's firm, and it acts as a headboard if you leave it on its side, but could also be laid flat and used to boost your head up. I like it!

We have stayed here several times, on route to and from NY to Ashville. Its convenient, as just off the highway. You can walk to restaurants and shops. Have a quiet drink in the bar.
We really appreciate having a balcony, as the views from the higher rooms are nice.
Hotel is really clean, modern. Staff are super helpful.
Be nice if when you book with the app, you could choose to stay on a higher floor

Poor customer service and no integrity
If you book this hotel through hotels.com (third party) you will be the first to have your booking cancelled if something goes wrong at their hotel. We had booked our room 3 months prior and paid for it. The day of our reservation the hotel cancelled our reservation due to flooding and stated that their Marriott members took priority and our booking was cancelled first because we booked through a third party.

Checkin was wonderful. However when we were settled in the room, we found a tobacco pack in the foldout bed. Doubtful the linens were even changed on the pullout sofa.
When reported to the front desk, they didn’t seem to be concerned.
