The property was clean and well-maintained. We only interacted with the check-in staff and she was very sweet and professional. The lobby has a fireplace which was very inviting and cozy, quiet too. Our room and bathroom were very clean and there were plenty of toiletries in the bathroom. My only suggestion would be to bring your pillow. We prefer pillows with a little more support and the ones here are very soft/flat. Definitely will stay again.

Helpful staff.
I had reserved two nights and had to leave after one night due to impending snow.
Staff was very kind and helpful with making cancellation.
I have stayed here before and front desk staff have always been very kind and helpful.

Discovered at 11pm that the sheets had not been changed on the bed. No one answered front desk phone. Had to go downstairs, ring service bell to get assistance. Was handed clean sheets. Had to make our bed ourselves at 11:30 or so.

Comfortable stay
Great stay!! We have stayed hwrw before and it was great but we spent 48.00 on breakfast. If we stay again, we wont eat here but will go our for breakfast! The clerk who checked us in was amazing! Very friendlya. Very helpful and kind!!!

Very convenient access to LU. Arrived and the tv had and all cords had been unplugged. The lady that check is in came up immediately and fixed it. Very pleasant and great stay!

Great until we walked into the room.
The front desk was fantastic and may check in a breeze. Gave us the choice of which floor we would like to be on. When we open the door to our room, there was a haze and a very strong, distinct smell of marijuana. We turned on the bathroom fan and opened the balcony door to air the room out. Not wanting to make a fuss. We did let the front desk know, but did not request to change rooms. Overall decent stay but very disappointing in the odor that seem to linger the entire stay.

This hotel has had some cosmetic updates but it’s still an old hotel. Bed sagged in the middle, water pressure wasn’t great, the bathroom fan rattled really loud, the A/C made noises like it was on its last leg, the blow dryer vibrated so hard it was hard to use and it smelled like it was burning hair. There is no continental breakfast or coffee or tea. You have to pay for it when other hotels are offering it. Including the other Marriott which is newer. We left the following day even though we paid for two nights. The staff at the front desk were nice but for the money stay somewhere else.

Convenient Location
Overall this is a nice hotel. We stayed here three nights and were in town to visit family so we only were at the hotel in the evenings to sleep. I felt that the hotel was rather noisy from the heating and cooling unit, to the drain in the shower, to the toilet flushing. One of the pillows on the bed had an unpleasant smell so we relocated it.

Convenient location and friendly front desk staff. Fairly clean though understaffed. Food inedible still charged after thrown away uneaten. Asked for quiet room. Put next to other guests with many open empty rooms. Maid service sounded like remodel. Mattress worn out.

Everything from check in to the end of our stay was wonderful. Check in done on my phone was very easy and effortless. At check in we were greeted and everything was quick and concise. Our room was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast next morning was easy and quick to get us where we needed to be.

Location was great to Liberty University. The elevator definitely needs work. It sounds bad and hits the first floor hard. There should be more elevators for this size hotel. No complimentary breakfast but was pointed to the hotel restaurant to buy breakfast. I have stayed in less expensive hotels that had complimentary breakfast. The beds were very uncomfortable. The room was not well insulated because as soon as the air shut off, the room got hot quickly. It made sleeping miserable. We were asked to reuse towels but we’re provided more upon request. Trash was never taken out or room cleaned in 4 days. Remember when housekeeping would clean the rooms and bring towels everyday? We will not be back. Too many other good hotels to stay in.

Just bring your own coffee. The stuff they have is the worst! Like the scene from ELF “tastes like a crappy cup of coffee”. LOL. So, other than that- yes, I will definitely stay there again!

The property was in a great location- very easy to find and access. The local area was quite nice- safe, clean, and many options for restaurants. The room was very nice and was clean. We especially liked the modern bathroom shower with full pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in a wall caddy. When I was searching Expedia for rooms, I chose the filter of breakfast included. The breakfast was not only not included, but was pretty pricey for breakfast fare ($10-15/person). We chose to eat at a local chain restaurant that was less than 5 minutes away. Other than that, we had no complaint about the property.

This hotel is Old and those kind of moist smell bombard us when we entered the room. You can literally see the rust on the shower door. For a fact, they need a renovation because it is disappointing for a Marriott hotel.

I liked that the hotel let me check-in early. The entrance of the hotel smelled of strong deodorizers and the hallways smelled old & musty, but they were clean. The room was clean and the bed was ok, but we were put in the last room on the hallway and had to deal with people banging the stairs door. The deadbolt did not work on the room door and the AC unit had a death rattle turning off. The tv cable or whatever was offered cut off at 9:00PM and after an hour we gave up trying to turn it on. The ice machine was not working on our floor. Overall it was ok, but for the price charged they should at least offer some type of breakfast in the room cost.

Only thing is that they did not have a roll a way bed I brought my 9 year old nephew and got the room cause it said it would accommodate 5. He ended up sleeping on the floor but they did give us an extra comforter and two pillows for him.

Overall a pleasant stay at the property. One issue that concerned me though was the coffee maker in my room - it wasn’t clean and had a tiny bug in it. That was a bit upsetting to me. I mentioned this to staff as I checked out so it would be properly cleaned for the next guest.
Apart from this, my stay was ok.

I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott while visiting a friend. The hotel accommodations were great. Front desk staff was friendly, check in and out was easy and quick, hotel was clean, room was clean and quiet, beds were comfortable. I would stay here again in needed. They also have a Starbucks and breakfast to order.

Credit card issue
The hotel charged the one credit card after we asked to be sure to charge the one we gave at the front desk and not the one we used to hold it. I could not use my card the rest of the weekend because of the charge.

It's ALL about the Bed
It's all about the bed in a hotel. Both of us woke up sore and achy because the bed was harder than usual at Marriott. We didn't sleep well because of the bed and the fact that there seems to be little insulation between rooms. We often choose Marriott because the beds are comfortable. This bed will drive us back to Hilton hotels. On the plus, plus side the staff is amazing! And the coffee in the room was delicious. Everything seemed clean and was very attractive from lobby to entire room.

The room was overall great and spacious. My favorite feature was the balcony option. It allowed you to bring in fresh air. The shower didn’t have a tub and was on the smaller side but overall the place was nice

I paid almost $200 for one night and I realize it’s Homecoming weekend but that didn’t even include a breakfast of any kind. Also the sliding door to the balcony was broken and didn’t make me feel very safe. Lynchburg is a pretty safe town but for 200 a night it should have been fixed before we got there. The evening hostess was very nice and very helpful!!

I want to thank the manager and staff for being kind enough to obtain a wheelchair for my father while he was visiting me at the hotel. He was not a hotel guest, yet the manager obtained a wheelchair for him, and the receptionist took time to sanitize it before he used it. Thank you!

This is the second time we have stayed in room 301. It is a great room but needs 2 things:
1. The mini-fridge does not get cold and should be replaced.
2. The pullout couch mattress is too thin, Either replace with thicker mattress or provide some sort of extra padding.

The hotel was pleasant; 3 floors, my family's room was on the 2nd floor. The room had 2 queen beds, very comfortable, softer than I usually prefer but not so soft as to hurt my back. The pillows are very soft too, which usually bothers my neck, but I simply used 2. The ice machine didn't work on our floor, but we were able to get ice from the first floor machine. The lounge was pretty big. My husband and I sat at a corner table with really cool comfortable, high backed chairs to do research. Also, there was no room service on saturday. Overall, our stay was good, not spectacular but not horrible.

the room was super slean, but like most hotels the mattress was brutally uncomfortable. I don't know why hotels don't focus on the most important part of the hotel. A nice mattress that doesn't fight back all night.
Marioot used to always have nice mattresses.

My sheets were not changed. No one came to get the trash. Went to. Desk They asked me to bring down my old towels so they could be washed but at that time they didn’t have clean towels to give me until they did the washed the old ones. I asked was anyone coming by to het the trash they asked me to bring it down so that was my stay
