I had to travel in from Ohio for Surgery at Reston Hospital. The hotel was only 5 minutes away from the hospital and provided a clean and quiet place for me to recover during the week. Staff were all very friendly and helpful as well!

The staff were very kind and helpful. The gym was excellent!
The linens were terrible; towels were neither soft, nor absorbent. The bedding was also starchy, itchy, and made sleeping difficult. Additionally, the bedding exacerbated our allergies.

Clean and comfortable.
Used Hotels.com with pay at facility. When tried to check in had issues, couldn't complete registration. Had to call another clerk to try to fix it. She was not really friendly, asked "what do you mean pay at facility"? Were given room keys then late that night received email from credit card provider charged more than on booking statement. When checked out received invoice with correct amount. Otherwise decent room, comfortable/quiet and very clean. Odd setup with TV placement, parallel to the bed. Were there for family visit so hardly used it.

Front desk was very nice and accommodating for our very late check-in. Our hotel room did have a bit of cigarette smoke smell in it upon arrival however the bed was comfortable and the property was clean and quiet.

Good area, nice rooms. Stayed for 13 hours, and in that span the fire alarm went off twice. Once at 3:30 in the morning. Both times, we were told by the manager that it was a faulty sprinkler sensor so just more inconvenient than anything.

When I checked in an hour after my wife had died at a local hospital, the staff at the front desk was warm, caring and comfortable. They even sent me a sympathy card after I left. That was so kind.

My room had bedbugs. Yes, I’m certain they were bedbugs, as I’ve dealt with them before. I discovered some of them crawling around me on the bed upon waking from a nap. The desk attendant, who declined my offer to show her the bedbugs, was apologetic and got me another room, which was bedbug free, as far as I could tell. She also suggested I might be reimbursed, pending approval by management.
I later received a corporate email apologizing for the “inconvenience”, but claiming (for the record) that their subsequent inspection discovered no bugs in my room or the surrounding rooms. Who knows whether that inspection actually took place, or whether a qualified person(s) performed it.
I’m not upset about the whole thing - though the email left a sour taste. But, on the principle of good customer service, I should have been reimbursed. In any case, I will not be staying there again.

I left my phone charger plugged into the bedside outlet and was told I did not. I know it was there so I didn’t appreciate it not being returned. It was an expensive long cord charger. I am not happy about it not being returned to me. Not the Marriott Way!!

Th experience here was not worth the price. When I get there (mind you, I booked well in advance when there were 5 rooms with king sized bed). I was told there were no more kings available and take a queen bed at the same price. Also, the WiFi is free....but its absolutely slow. In order to stream anything on your devices you need to pay 5 bucks a night per device....This is my last time coming here

We’ve stayed at this property a few times before and this is the second time we’ve found a cockroach in the bathroom. Please check the bathrooms more often. This isn’t good for the courtyard brand.

Check in was good, did ask if we could have a joining rooms which was not possible, but we did have room next to each other. The fact that the hotel know we had more than 2 persons in each room (children) we only had 2 bath towels and there were no extra linens for the couches.

I got assigned to a room that was not clean and filled with trash bags and towels on the floor when I checked in at 1030pm
Also the front desk told me there is complimentary breakfast from 630-930am and I ended up paying for the breakfast at 9am which is contradicting to the front desk message.

What I didn’t like is that you guys (Expedia) cancelled my reservation for the whole weekend without asking me anything just because I arrived after midnight, so I was left with no place to stay because you felt like you were entiltled to cancel my entire reservation, I would never book through you guys again, awful service and awful company

No issues with it; we got in late and left early in the morning. It was clean and we had no difficulties with check out. The only issue was that it took the front desk staff a few minutes to come out of the office when we arrived, and this was after my fiance and I both tried to ask for assistance with our voices as there was no other way to reach someone. We also understand that it was later at night. But other than this, there were no issues. We enjoy staying at Marriotts.

The staff at this hotel are very unfriendly and unaccommodating. This specific hotel completely turned me off of ever staying in another Marriott hotel. The first night I checked in, Larry decided it was a good way to treat customers by speaking down to them and acting sarcastically. His exact words "I'm Larry and I'm an idiot..." Okay...Also, each week I stayed, a hold was placed on my card for $750 worth of "incidentals"!! I never used incidentals and the $750 is way more than the stay itself even cost! Ridiculous! Be prepared for the staff to place MULTIPLE holds on large amounts of money in your account that take up to a week to fall off before they charge you again. Very poor management indeed! I stayed for 4 weeks before finding a much better accommodation in the area.

Get some help over there
Stay was fine, the check in was the issue. The lady working the front desk needed help. Checking in at 9:45pm there were 3 people in line, she was having a hard time explaining herself and became very emotional. We were told that our room was not available yet (again, this is 9:45pm) and we'd have to wait about 30 minutes. We had to switch from a double room to a king just so we could get to bed and ready for a 4am departure to airport.

This property is conveniently located if you fly into IAD. There's plenty of free parking. I did visit towards the time when the pandemic restrictions were being slowly lifted, so housekeeping wasn't regular, but totally taken care of if you let the front desk know you'd like the room refreshed. I'd book this again.

Wonderful!
Wonderful hotel. Welcoming check-in. I went in early 1 pm just to see if it was possible and they had a room available. I needed to lie down because of a headache. Rooms are confidante and quiet. They have a small convenience store, business center, food for purchase on site.

The stay was ok. We had a room with a toilet which was flushing by itself every 5 - 10 minutes which caused a lot of annoyance while sleeping. Breakfast menu is ok not much choices for vegan

Mixed feelings
The hotel was undergoing renovation so due to this there were inconviences like blocked doorways and lobby entrances. The day of our check out the elevator was sporadically working. The room was immaculate and the bed quite comfortable.

The place is under renovation which means the lobby door was not accessible only side doors. There were ongoing construction and noise, however I was assigned a room on the first floor close to the noise coming from outside in the parking lot and inside being close to the lobby. I was sleep deprived by the time I left due to the noise level. The hotel was semi empty, they could have accommodate in another room, however their reply was we can’t because I booked through a third party

We checked in at 12 present my ID at check in, we had a long flight, turn off cell phone and went to bed we were in deep sleep and at 2:30 AM a call from reception on hotel phone inquiring about my last name I could not sleep for few hours after this when I inquired about this at morning the morning shift receptionist did not know any thing.
When I booked my hotel I paid extra for breakfast but when I talked to receptionist she said no breakfast is not included I had to login to my account and showed my booking she said ok but when we went to breakfast counter she said no breakfast is not included on my room went back to reception and add again very terrible experience and terrible customer service.

Poor Communication of staff.
I purchased these rooms since the pictures on your website showed 2 queens, and a sleeper sofa. When we arrived they said they didn't have any rooms like that. So we had to pay an additional $414.12 for another room. I was on a TEXT chain with your company and they said they would resolve it, and nothing ever happened except a free breakfast every day, which came to an amount of $65.00. No one even followed up with me to let men know what was going on.
I would like to get credit for our stay on at least one of the rooms please.

Not what I booked
The ONLY reason I booked this was we needed 3 different sleeping areas for a Grandma, a 35 yo son and a 14 yo Grandson. So I booked a room with 2 queen beds and a pullout couch. They don’t even have a room like this but my confirmation shows that I was promised this. No rollaways. So 3 nights in a room of less than desirable sleeping conditions.

Everything was great ! They were doing some minor renovation to the main entrance but had very clear direction to temporary entrance . Rooms were clean and comfortable. Only complaint was the elevator had just been repaired and was still acting up and not working properly . All minor things though that can easily be fixed . Property was beautiful and I would definitely stay again .

Hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. We had a simple lightbulb out at check-in and staff responded immediately and kindly. Hotel is comfortable and very decent, quiet area, construction on site but was not disruptive. Only drawback was that the pool was closed and the elevator seemed to only work sometimes. Parking was great, bed was comfy, overall the hotel was nice at a fantastic rate. We had a good stay and would return.

Front desk staff were amazing and super nice. Place was clean. Only gripe is they didn’t have the plastic covers over the beds but no evidence of bed bugs so that was good. Oh and all the bottom rooms have sliding doors directly to the outside so that was nice! People were very loud in the morning and walls were thin but that could’ve just been my experience.

I liked the cleanliness of the hotel and the shampoo/conditioner/body wash which is an excellent choice of scent. I disliked the pillows as I could not find one to suit me. I would however stay here again.
