The restaurant wasn’t open and there was nowhere to get coffee at 8:30 am unless you like powdered creamer. I went to use the shower and the handle to turn on the water was sitting on the side of the tub. If the staff had cleaned the tub recently they probably would have noticed that and reported it. The tub may have been dirty or just stained yellow. We didn’t stick around to find out. Front desk was nice enough, but it took longer than it should have to check me in with him asking for, and returning my ID and credit card 3 different times.

Austin has a bit of a homeless problem. And that can mushroom into some of the areas around where the hotel is located, it’s not the properties fault, but it’s something that the whole city has to deal with. So you do need to be aware that that can be surrounding the area that you might be staying. Overall, once you get inside, the property is great. We’ve stayed there a number of times and would do so in the future. Good value for price. Excellent location.

Would stay here again! Just wish there was coffee.... We were 4 persons in a two queen beds room. 3 small coffee bags (1 cup) for all of us for two nights... Should be easy to offer guests a cup of coffee in the lobby...

It was a convenient location, close to I-35 and easy access to the highway, and I also had a very clean room, recently remodeled, comfy bed, and overall friendly staff (the overnight guy wasn't the most friendly, just played on his phone in the back office every time I saw him).
The area outside left a little to be desired, but that's most of Austin these days unless you're willing to pay $200-$300 in addition to a ridiculous parking fee to be closer to downtown. No thanks!

Once I checked into my room I did notice that In the mini fridge there we multiple roaches and black mold in there. On top of that it wasn’t working. I did notice that there were stains on the head board and looked like it wasn’t cleaned all the way properly. I have to admit I did ask for a second room which was much better.

Booked this hotel to go to a concert it was very convenient, plus side it had a circle K gas station right next door and was close to interState only reason I have a four was upon checkin receptionist was in the middle of helping another guess and wasn’t the friendliest with them about extra towels regardless of seeing I was in line second when I got to my room room attendant was on our floor when we asked for extra towels she said she didn’t have any to the best of her ability she she didn’t speak English and we had to go to front desk , I laughed because upon checking in the guys had already told previous guess they didn’t have any towels at the desk. Overall stay was good didn’t stay that long and was checked up at 3am. Would book again tho because the location was convenient

It's.....cheap....?
The furniture is chipped and banged up. The photos are a bit flattering to what you actually get. Someone nailed an empty picture frame to the wall of the elevator.

Needs working amenities
install it was a good stay. rooms and bathroom smaller then pictures make it look. Pool was dirty and not one single piece of cardio equipment worked. Equipment looked like it was from the 90s. Staff dims friendly and location is good just need to make sure their “amenities “ are upgraded and i’m working order since they don’t have others like free breakfast

Pleasantly surprised. I trusted the name but wasn’t sure what to expect upon driving up as it’s an older property with newer surrounding it. Walking in reassured that it was still great quality and loved that a restaurant was adjacent!

A quick summary, the restroom floor and room carpet was really dirty, it also had mold on the ac unit which gave it a strong mildew smell. To top it off the sheets and towels are changed every 3 days..

BUGS. This hotel is infested with bugs. There was a cockroach in my room, dead bugs squished on the carpet on my floor and the lobby was literally infested with huge bugs. The bedskirt in my room was tattered and slashed, furniture was literally falling off the wall, the screen doors were slashed and the room smelled damp and moldy. The front desk just kept saying there was no manager and I had to talk to him tomorrow. This is a large hotel, to have no manager on duty (it was a Saturday night too) and staff that have ZERO responsibility to do anything if there is a problem is so unsafe. The front desk couldn't care less. He said, "I'm just doing my job" and "You're lucky he's (the manager) not talking to you, you wouldn't like what he had to say." I felt very unsafe here, especially as a solo traveler. I started a chat with Expedia, sent pictures, I talked to them on the phone and they hold no accountability. I always book with Expedia but after this I'm going to rethink using this site. They don't stand by their properties and take no responsibility when falsely advertised. So you can be stuck somewhere filthy and unsafe and even though they sold it to you they wash their hands of you. Also, make sure you read reviews on different sites, this was rated an 8 out of 10 on Expedia but WAY lower on other sites.

Quiet, clean and comfortable
I have stayed here multiple times and overall enjoy my stay. When I checked in the card I was given didn’t allow access to go in and out of the property but allowed room access this was a first. It would have been nice to walk in and out of the door closest to my room instead of walk around to the front lobby entrance. The front lobby door didn’t have glass in it I’m guessing someone broke it. Usually the room goes for around $90 a night but this time I payed $126 plus the $50 down payment collected at check in. My only gripe is paying a total of $176 I would have went somewhere else for that price including breakfast.

room did not feel clean. the remote was covered in gunk. we could hear both our neighbors perfectly although they were not being loud, doors were so thin and not closed to the floor. the bathroom door handle would not lock and was barley hanging on. definitely won’t stay again.

Better than expected!
Was a bit apprehensive about our stay after reading recent reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. I felt safe. The receptionist was cordial and asked for my room floor preference, got a corner room. The room was clean, AC worked well and the bed was comfortable. Refrigerator worked. I have no complaints.

Property very old. Front desk staff very rude and unprofessional. First room we got had like a dead animal smell. We changed it to different one and still smell really bad AC very loud and made room super humid we had no water to stick and when I went to get some from front desk I was told they have none and I need to go to gas station and buy it

Property was nice. Good place to staying if you're not sleeping in. Clean staff starts super early. They were already knocking at our door by 9:30. A little stingy with towels, there was 2 towels and there was 3 guest. We went to ask for more early in the morning and they said they didnt have any due to cleaning staff not there yet.

The property looked nice in the lobby. The second you get upstairs to the rooms you’re smacked with mold and mildew smell. The day time looks safe, but as soon as it gets dark there’s dozens of questionable folks around in the parking lot. The restaurant attached is disgusting and overpriced. I got a “flight” of 4 margaritas at $21 during happy hour and each little mason jar was 1 oz and had ice shoved in. So $21 for 2 oz of tequila. The chips and queso were gross as well. I’d spend the extra $20 to stay somewhere else.

You get what you pay for
The customer service was very friendly and kind but that’s about the only good thing. For starters, we walked into our room and our room smelt like wet carpet. I don’t think they turned the AC on until 20 minutes before check in because it was hot in the room and didn’t cool down until we left on Friday. The pillows were lumpy. There was no instructions on how to get to the guide on the Tv. Or any information on how to use Wi-Fi. The elevator did not have a current inspection date. The drawer in the dresser wouldn’t stay shut. And there was a dead spider in the popcorn ceiling and dead roaches in the hallway.

Tried to cancel reservation the day prior. No one would answer the phone and we submitted a case to cancel. The next day, day of the reservation they finally answered and said we couldn't cancel because it was the day of the reservation. So, we tried calling again and got no answer even though we called numerous times over hours. After staying in the hotel we came in late and seen the staff watching videos on their phones. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.

Place was great and quiet. Everything was great in the hotel and out. Only problem is out of the hotels control and that would be the area out. Was not a terrible looking place and is perfectly safe. The city was 10 minutes away and there are a lot of restaurants near this place. Definitley will look to book another stay if I'm in the area

You really have to go out of your way to be so bad
One thing is to have a run down property, another is to completely disregard the law by permitting weed consumption all around the hotel and gender abuse reported throughout the day in the pool area and fourth floor.
As a person who works in tourism and a fellow Hotels.com Gold Member I don't understand how it's rated with an 8 on this app.

Bad service, filthy, run down, not safe
Entire hotel smells like weed, elevator, hall ways, rooms via AC units, pool area, parking lot.
Found broken eye glasses and more trash around the room.
Pool was never cleaned, pool access literally falling down, front desk beyond rude zero empathy for clients needs, shower head feel off and was never fixed, WiFi intermittent at best, never felt safe.

Aside from the cockroaches in the room and in the bed as well as the ants in the bathroom and the people smoking weed and crack pipes next to the pool later in the nights, the front desk people were fairly helpful and the hotel itself got the job done. It’s biggest redeeming quality was its good location relative to all the activities I was trying to do.

I had stayed at Ramada by Wyndham before in Albuquerque multiple times and liked it, but this one in Austin was even better. It was cleaner, the carpet looked newer, the elevators, just about everything about the place was nicer.
The only drawback - the Ramada by Wyndham in Albuquerque has a free breakfast, the one in Austin did not. The restaurant was nice, though, it kind of looked like a Japanese restaurant on the outside, and the salmon, rice and asparagus I had from there were good. The Ramada by Wyndham also didn't include a hairdryer; the one in Albuquerque does.
Overall, though, the one in Austin was really nice, almost kind of luxurious. I really liked the white brick in the room; it made the room feel almost like a loft in Manhattan.
